New leaked image of proposed Spurs Stratford stadium

Exclusive.

I've managed to get hold of an exclusive 'leaked' ITK mock-up of what the Olympic Site redevelopment will look like if Daniel Levy and the club win the bid and progress with their plans. Exclusive. Not sure how much time I have before this blog article will be removed on advisement from my solicitors. Will fight the THFC lawyers and their court injunctions for as long as I can. I've also included the descriptions of the proposed additions to the area surrounding the OS which was included as part of the stolen image pack.

1  - Chirpy Towers. To dare is to Cock-a-doodle-doo do do do. Visit the state of the art Spurs Shop and enjoy delightful Michelin quality three course meals in Chirpy's slow rotating head allowing you to enjoy the amazing view of Canary Wharf and Newham, including our deadly rivals home ground; Upton Park. The exclusive Chirpy's EyeBalls penthouse dinner rooms can be booked in advance (premium required) where you can watch the whole game whilst sat at your table...if you prefer to avoid the hustle and bustle of the crowds down below.

2  - The World Famous Home of Stratford Hotspur® and Nandos. The Nandos Stadium. Our new sponsor and club badge thanks to a multi-million pound long term deal means you'll never go hungry for football...or chicken! You can find Nandos outlets inside the stadium and be sure to order the 'take it to your seat*' bucket before the game kicks off (*take it to the seat meal deal only includes a medium coke, for large coke, extra £4 charge, fries not inclusive). The controversial inclusion of red in the stadium name and team shirts is nothing to worry about. Remember, we wore red in our badge back in 1882/83 and a red shirt between 1890-1896. Both the replicas of these shirts are soon to be available in the club shop with our new clothing tagline: Hot for Spurs and proud of our heritage.

3  - Stratford Hotspur®. Home is where the Strat® is, and Spurs is stratting it's hot stuff all over North (eastish) London. You voted to move and we've embraced our local community, repaying their hospitality with a gentle nod of approval to our new surroundings. Location? Geography? Booooring. Why tie ourselves down to a place or a name when the Spurs brand is worldwide?

Stratford Hotspur®. Refined and redefining the game of soccer®. To Revenue is to Do®.

*Gates open at 10am on Saturday match-days and 5pm for midweek for access to car park.

7  - Starbucks. You can have a coffee and a muffin on the day to calm those pre-match nerves in one of our coffee house outlets. Free wireless included in-store for the disconcerting fan who wishes to get fierce and do battle online via blogs and forums. So don't be forgetting your ipads!

And to make certain, we have more than just the one for you to enjoy an alcoholic beverage and give you ample time to tweet your thoughts on the team selection. Pub crawling has never been this crisp and clean!

9  - Harry Hotspur statue. Remaining true to our rich heritage, included on the grounds is an amazing tour de force iconic bronze talking statue of seasoned traveller and warrior entrepreneur Harry Hotspur, who looks East towards Upton Park with menace and an ever so subtle hint of marching fearless into battle. Listen to him sing 'Glory Glory Stratford Hotspur' (debit card charge of £5 per chorus) and point towards deepest West Ham territory. The epitome of glory and progression standing the test of time, a true echo to our past that also retains a place in the future much like Hotspur's legacy that has enriched Northumberland, Tottenham and now Stratford.

10 - Replica Town. Be sure to visit the old fashion pre-match traditional walkabout. Get yourself some Caviar to go or a tuna salad at 'Seastar Fish bar'. 11 - Monorail. For our exclusive 'Platinum True Fan' members, get to and from the Docklands in the super fast Monorail sponsored by Bloomberg that will take you from your executive box straight back into the hub of the banking world within minutes. All other season ticket holders, club members and tickets purchased via general sale and on the day - please head towards Stratford station with plenty of time to spare to avoid congestion.

12 - Canary Wharf. Majestic, just majestic! The amazing backdrop on the horizon that will light up the sky on those Glory Glory nights making them that extra special.

Footnote:

You'll note all the Chirpy heads that are located around the ground. They crow if we win, and sing 'Can't smile without you' if we lose. Making sure we are pampering the emotive side of your journey into our world class arena experience. Directions to local shopping centres and words from our sponsors are also subliminally whispered from his beak.

Also, to commemorate the move to the new stadium and the soon to be concluded deal that will see AEG purchase the club and a proposed future franchise merger with LA Galaxy, Daniel Levy will present to loyal Spurs supporters a Monolith at the first home game to be played in Stratford as a thank you and a remainder of services rendered.

The first feeling I have is of relief.
The way the club has tried to sell its new-found obsession with the Olympic Stadium is by dangling the carrot of success.
Speaking for myself and I dare say the majority of our fans: We are not donkeys to be bribed with bright baubles; neither to be harried by the threatening stick of having our club taken away.
As I recall, before the prospect of the Olympic Stadium appeared on the horizon, the redevelopment of White Hart Lane was long-sought, and hard-won after a protracted planning process. And when that approval came the club sang its praises from the rooftops.
The Board, I think should consider its position, and if ENIC (the majority share-holder) feels they do not have the wherewithal to take the club to the next level, they should find a buyer, who can and is willing to.
I have been a Tottenham supporter for three decades, and am quite used to the sting of failure, but tonight I am optimistic that the Spurs brand and our unique culture have been saved and will be given the chance to develop organically, rather than be supplanted into the alien soil of East London.
So far as West Ham are concerned: I wish them good luck. After all a competition is only as good as your rivals. However, being realistic I think they have bitten off more than they can chew and swallow.

Don't understand this desire to find new buyers. It's very easy to think the grass is greener. What's the next level? The top 4 no longer exists and very soon with the UEFA fair play rules may be thrown on it's head. Very possible Arsenal will be the Big 1.

Let's see what happens next - there's no rush. Fact is very soon 1 or 2 seasons out of the CL will kill Chelsea and Man City. Liverpool have only spent the money they were given by Chelsea, their net spend has been very low, let's see how their accounts look if they don't make the CL this year. To date we have been a club living within their means, if we spend 450m that goes out the window.

And whatever may be said Tottenham remains a shithole few tourists will visit, the price we pay to redevelop has to be justified.

So lets concentrate on football, we have some good young talent on the books. It's all about patience.

I clearly remember spending a pleasant 90mins next to some fellow "supporter" insulting a certain 18/19 year old Gareth Bale, his parents, his countrymen and anything else he could put the word fucking in front of and cunt after. He probably still believes he was justified in his behaviour that day. He was not alone in his opinion.

My point being que sera. Who knows what the future will bring.

For now...

We're staying in Tottenham, North London is Ours.

Levy and his lawyers will got at the decision. More than one or two twists to go yet.

Waiting patiently for the Brady statement of celebration. She'll make it sound like this epic victory no doubt.

Forget Stratford . Lets go to Pickets Lock . Build a super Stadium with huge car /coach park and show the Gooners how to build a fan freindly venue .

according to the BBC west ham will be named as preferred bidder, though I think there will be a huge legal challenge if they are as there are still presentations to be made. we must also remember that the bbc recently said west ham had signed martin o'neil as there manager which never came to fruition.

I have found it amazing the number of fans in all 'forums' who suggest that in speaking for themselves they are also 'speaking for the majority' in all this.

Based on no other assumption that the majority of people they know agree in part / haven't been listening and agree anyway.

No-one ever truely knew what the majority of all fans thought, and yet both sides contested to 'represent the majority'. Because funnily enough you'd actually have to ask all the fans, not minority groups from either side who shout the loudest.

Still, who needs facts, when perception is reality. Just as well though, as the beeb have done a good job in being pro-legacy on their own terms and most people I've spoken to (non spurs fans and only within the context my day to day cotacts) were not aware of the renovation of crystal palace or the cost to the public purse in the long run (especially if it does all go tits up). God bless lazy journo's and misrepresentations.

The down side of all this, the look on that smug bitch Brady's face as she steps into the directors box. Make's me shudder at the prospect.

Like I posted earlier if west ham are awarded the stadium on friday there will some huge legal challenges. The fact that board hasn't voted yet, presentations are still to be made, and apparently a decision has been made, I can see Levy taking the oplc to court.

From Top Spurs. Although it seems we wont get the OP I still think this is worth a read.

9th February 2011 - I am a viable one-percenter

So decision day is nearly here for the Olympic site and Levy has gone into overdrive with his Stratford offensive. The gloves have really come off now, the NPD is “dead in the water” and he will now do “what ever it takes” to ensure Tottenham Hotspur play in east London. This of course by definition means that he is not afraid to lie in order to get what he wants. But then this is something that comes very easy to Daniel Levy.

He also stated that he is confident that 99% of Spurs fans will back him, a similar sort of mandate that you would expect in sham elections from a despot run banana republic. Except at least in regimes like those they go through the motions of elections, we have not even had that. We have had zero consultation and all we have had is months of misinformation, half –truths and big fat woppers.

Plenty of fans seem content to put their faith in a man, and let’s not kid ourselves here, who is nothing more than front man for an investment company. That investment company is owned by a majority shareholder, who resides offshore and who has visited White Hart Lane just a handful of times since they purchased us 10 years ago. The sole purpose of ENIC is to maximise return for shareholders. So if that means carving up Tottenham Hotspur and placing them in east London, so-be-it.

We have to rely on a person who changes his tune more than Chris Evans, just a few short months ago he was “delighted” with the “viable” Northumberland Park Project . Then and I quote, he wanted to make “things absolutely clear”, applying for the Olympic site was “keeping options open”. I’m still not very clear Levy. Then the latest bomb shell that the scheme is completely “unviable”. Yet until a couple of days ago you could still sign a petition on the Spurs site supporting the NPD. Levy loves that word “viable” or “unviable” he chooses it whenever he fancies, without quantifying why things have changed so quickly.

But let’s get back to these percentages. First of all what 99% does Levy mean? The 36000 who turn up every week at Tottenham? Or the 35000 on our supposed season ticket list (more on this later). Perhaps the reported million Spurs fans living in Britain, or maybe the slightly dubious figure of 20 million worldwide fans? Is it 200,000 fans or 360 fans?

On with percentages, a pro-Stratford fan on a message board read great stall into an online poll on a Spurs site, which he claimed showed that 80% of fans backed the move and he said that the “silent majority were in favour of moving”. It is very easy to claim a silent majority – they don’t speak! However he used a Levy style slight-of-hand. On closer inspection the poll asked are you a one percent who Levy cannot convince to move? It is unclear what this means, but I take it as the fans who will not follow Spurs to Stratford no matter what, very different to being in favour of a move. On the same site a much clearer poll asks are you in favour of moving to Stratford? The result ?– 60% against the move and 35% for the move, the rest undecided. In yet another poll on a different Spurs site with a similar question, we find 76% of fans against the move, with just 24% in favour. We just don’t know true figures, because we have never been officially asked.

So if we are trying to assess how many fans really won’t follow Spurs to Stratford, which percentage to use? Let me go for a conservative one, not quite Levy’s 1%, which frankly seems absurd. Let me plum for 20%. My science for this, is that the 20% who said that they were one of Levy’s one percenters in the above mentioned poll (e.g not wanting to move at any cost), seem pretty likely not to buy tickets in Stratford. A minority yes, but still very significant and still enough to tear the club apart. Allow me to expand.

Spurs are one of the best supported clubs in land. That is without question. We have the third highest average attendance in the all the all-time table, below only Man U and Liverpool and just above Arsenal, with an all-time average of 33,487. This is though still quite a bit short of the 60000 capacity at Stratford. Our highest ever average crowd is 55,509 some sixty years ago, still short of the 60000 capacity. In fact we have only average above 50000 fans four times in our history.

Football is more popular now that at many periods in the past, yet there is strong evidence to suggest that the match going popularity has peaked. Spurs are bucking the trend in selling out every week. Most clubs are failing to reach capacity. Premier League attendances have been falling, 17 clubs saw a decline in attendances last season.

We have a hugely loyal following, yet you could buy a season ticket just five years ago without a problem. We appear to have bucked the trend on the back of our recent improvement. That is crucial.

According to Levy, we now have 35000 fans on our waiting list for season tickets – but have we really? I am a season ticket holder but my two boys are on the list, yet if I was called tomorrow, I would turn them down at the moment for a variety of reasons. Yet I am happy to pay the small membership fee, for the option of being called, just in case I change my mind. I am sure there are many others who think the same.

So back to this 20%. If any business loses 20% of its customer, pretty much overnight, they are going to struggle. The pro-Stratford lobby, would be sitting in an unfilled stadium, as Spurs will have to break their own records just to sell out.

It was not a banker that we would sell out the NPD every week; it will be even more of a struggle to sell out Stratford, if 20% of fans staying away.

Then what of the 20% staying away? If a phoenix club is formed, this will be like a wart to Levy (or to whomever he has sold out to – AEG? So that we can become part of their soccer family perhaps?). The phoenix club, will be calling themselves the “true” Tottenham. It will be small, but will be able to attract the fans who feel disenfranchised by “brand” Tottenham. It will seem a wholesome alternative.

Of course if the east London “Tottenham” stays successful, the new owners will get away with it, but if they don’t, I can see fans drifting away in their droves. And there is no guarantee of success, the stadium will only match Arsenal. It will still be behind Man U, and Chelsea and Man City will still have their wealth. Newcastle went from 36000 to 52000 a few years back, didn’t quite get world domination did they?

My point is this, only a Tottenham in north London, would not haemorrhage fans, only a Tottenham in north London, will keep the club united. If we move to Stratford, 1%, or20% or 60% or 74% of fans will stop going, or will be reluctantly turning up (again crucial – if fans are reluctantly turning up – it won’t take much for them to change their mind). The truth is we don’t know how many fans, but we will lose significant fans, at time when we are trying to break our attendance records, it is a dangerous game. But not a game I fear Levy has really thought through, as I truly believe, he only cares as much as he does about shifting us to Stratford, so that he can sell us, and if that is the case, then what does it matter to him if we are not selling out?

We have survived for 129 years in Tottenham, we are the fifth most successful side in England in terms of trophies won, existing in this “unviable” environment. We do not have to believe the pro-Stratford doom-mongers, who predict years of pain if we stay. We will survive, Levy will leave, we will trophies again, as we have in the 50s,60s,70s,80s,90s and 00s. We will keep our roots intact; we will keep our fan base intact. We will look back on this sorry episode and think how could we have come so close to destroying our north London heritage? But that is only if we lose the bid.

Choose the right percentage, add your name to near 8000 fans who have signed the online petition against the move (the second most popular petition on petitiononline.co.uk), follow the link below;

Completely agree. If ENIC and AEG have lost this particular game of poker, it's time for them to leave the table.
We have the space in Tottenham, the permission to build and we have the support to make it a great investment for new owners who want to keep Tottenham in Tottenham.

Fuck of ChrisYid, you'd be the first one on here wetting your knickers and rubbing your hands at the thought of future success. Besides, I thought there was some kind of law coming in to stop billionaire's bankrolling titles.

It's really quite a simple situation here. IF the pikeys are to be the bid winners, Levy has to go! Some will say that this was always his plan, to push the evil Haringey council into using our (the public's) money to help build the newly 'viable' NDP. Bullshit! If we had won (win) Levy would have shut THFC down and opened up Stratford Hotspur to make him and his pals shit loads of cash without a second thought about what the club really means to many. Levy can no longer be trusted. He's tried to take the club away from its roots on a lie and without any consultation with the fans.

Any owner that keeps THFC in Tottenham is all right by me, but that owner can no longer be the untrustworthy ENIC.

Desperate actions of a Wet Sham board to use the media, a last throw of the dice in a vain attempt to regain momentum that has recently shifted in favour of the THFC bid.

I can remember seeing articles from Telegraph and BBC stating that "leaks" were coming out of FIFA that England had won the World Cup bid... and we know all too well what happened there. Pure speculation from a bunch of jokers.

Cheap PR tactics from cheap individuals.

Sorry but I just can't see those unprofessional chancers winning it, their bid simply doesn't stack up.

For Organic Growth read, falling further and further behind the big boys with their big stadia and sugar daddies bank rolling £50m strikers and £200k a week wages.

TMWNN.....you are no financial wizard, if fact I'd wager you know next to nothing about business......You seem to be pleading for some oil baron to come in and fund our desires....firstly, those who have bought in to clubs have bought where the stadium is not an issue.....the exception, Liverpool, were handed promises and promises and left with massive debt and no stadium. They crippled the club with actually building the stadium.

No one is going to walk in to Tottenham, which is a shit hole, and agree to spend £300m-£400m on a new stadium before evening starting on the squad.

Levy had to pursue this route. How can he ever get anything from Harigey/Government if we had nothing to threaten them with....and for that reason he is maintaining the "NDP is not viable" and "WHL is not Viable, we'll have to move anyway" line because if he said anything else, then the Council or the Olympic committee or the Government would say, "why should we help you if you have viable options".

You liken it to a poker game, Levy admitting we have viable options is like him announcing he is holding 2 aces before the betting starts....what happens then, everyone folds & we win nothing!

Smarten up!

I hope that if the club find an alternative plan B within the borough, ALL the fans get behind it for the sake of ALL the fans that want to see a game - And that we'll see blogs and posts in excited support of what we're doing and not moaning that we haven't signed the latest wunderkind striker for £50m. one final thought from me to anyone (who cares - or even those that don't - not really taht fussy).

Something I said at the time of the jol departure (which has to have been one of hte wierdest atmospheres at WHL I'd ever expereinced. the impromptu 'stand up for Martin Jol' half way through second half still makes the hairs on the back of my neck rise):

BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR, IT MAY JUST COME TRUE.

Unfortunately with so much uncertainty, it applies equally to both sides of the fence.

Make no mistake the club is at a genuine crossroads, and the decisons made in the next few months may yet determine our future in decades to come and the course we take.

I'm not saying 'I know the answer and the difference between what is good for the club or not'. Just being cautious to let head rule heart as this one pans out.

mes, that's spooky (not actually spooky but you know what I mean).

I got interupted between drafting and posting so hadn't seen yours!

Think there has been a lot of 'conjecture' being displayed as 'facts' by both sides, which doesn't help the rest of trying to see the 'chirpy' from the 'colonel sanders'.

Just saw the following in the post above from sfreundwasaleg

looking at the picture, where's the running track? I thought that was important. Sorry if this has been addressed, her unique writing style often seems to provoke a hasty reaction from me

For me, anything is preferable than fucking Stratford.

Do you think ENIC will own Tottenham forever? Who's to say that ENIC won't sell up to a Hicks type character in the future if they do get Stratford?

The fact that ENIC want to move a north London club to east London for their own financial gain isn't acceptable for me, but if you think that's okay, good luck.

re: bonse. Surely brady's self appointed title as the 'first lady of football' by being default of being the only 'lady' in football, (and I use the term 'lady' loosely as in 'the tramp') after delia showed her true colours having had too much sherry that fateful day.

Or am I going to get sacked for saying things like that?

TMWNN, Jesus christ, calm down mate, dont get your kncikers in a twist, look at you swearing and getting all defensive. You need to grow a sense of humour.

Hopefully the Stratford debate is done (Bar the final result & the ensuing legal shenanigans). What I'm saying is that rather than all dancing around singing yippee & songs about the board at the ground, we all need to get our heads together and come up with an alternative that's going to allow the people to get to the game that want to. I'm not even talking about success & competing, I'm talking about people that want to go and see a football match being able to get in without it being some kind of Knights-Templar style ritual.

These aren't just glory-hunting new-comers, these are people who have followed the club for years. And even if there are young kids that want to go and see Spurs because Bale is exciting, what's wrong about that - Why does that offend some peoples sensibility so much? What if some of those people ARE from overseas or outside the area? Why shouldn't a highlight of a trip to London be seeing a Spurs game?

I had thought this debate was about Stratford but the longer it went on I realised that it was about modernisation. The picture at the top of this page says it all in which the very methods of paying for modernisation (Especially the NDP which we purport to back) are mocked so openly... Be they tongue in cheek imbedded in ironic mischief or not.

As I said, when we all bleat about the transfer window and email Mr Levy our letters of indignation we'd always better be careful what we wish for... Lest the club try to deliver.

legal battle mounting already, clearly. Too many connected parties who accidentally 'hadn't declared their interests', too many opinions from those with vested interests one way or another.

All this and an over opinionated dog called Lassie, sorry I mean Brady.

'I'll be sat beside England manager Harry Redknapp in 2014, with England having just won the world cup', sorry love, I know you're trying your best, but is there a man from from your club we can speak to about the vision for the future?

;-)

Time for Levy to sell up and fuck off. - Mental, actually unbelievable to hear that kind of remark from a Spurs fan if Im honest. If somebody asked me what was the best thing that has happened to Spurs in 20 years, my answer would be Daniel Levy, followed by making the CL for the first time. That statement will probably provoke shit from some of you but when you look at chairman up and down the country I honestly think we have the best by a country mile!

For me, anything is preferable than fucking Stratford. - A ground share down at the emirates?

You boys must be chuffed this morning. Where now?
