I've just this moment stopped playing with the voodoo dolls. I've exhausted all the pins. I've dished out a hex or two for good measure. Arsenal v Chelsea. That show-piece game was my doing. So boring, one of the side effects from watching it was I've regressed to a foetus. I'm blogging from the womb. I've also taken the time to prepare some protective and transfiguration spells to make sure all corners are covered (although no guarantee our actual corners will show a marked improvement in delivery. Voodoo only stretches so far).
If we win tonight, we'll claim a top 4 finish. That's my resulting has no merit in the living world prediction.
Dark magic and sacrificed mascots aside, we've got no momentum, no mojo and we've been on a downward spiral for a while. More erratic never erotic. Same squad, same players that produced scintillating football and long unbeaten runs during the first part of the season. Got too comfortable, feel asleep. Alarm clock set for wake up call. Please, do not hit the snooze button.
This is the last must win of the season. It's the end of days must win. The Godzilla of must wins. No, scrap that...It's the bastard child of Godzilla and the Kraken of must win games.

OK, so we've had Giovanni dos Santos for 4 years, he's appeared 15 times in the league, and hasn't scored yet. We were crap once again today, and that's putting it politely. It's all very well being able to play tippy tappy football in 70% of the pitch, but you need to do the business in that last 30% and we just aren't even close to doing it.

We had some good honest managers in our day, like Bill Nick, Keith Burkinshaw and Big Martin and we need Mr Levy to look closely at the next manager's character, because our club is up there with the great clubs and 'wheeler dealers' and 'vagabonds' must never be accepted again, because we have had too many of them and they always left a smell around the place that needed fumigation.
Could have done with Pienaar, Caulker, Pav and Coruka about to freshen up the tired legs.

It just shows you how crap Arry is with tactics. Weve been found out and he does not have the know how to change it around. He is finished as a manager. Its so ironic, his own greed and selfish appoach has lost him the England job (i hope). He took his eye off the ball and he will pay the price. Its a great pity but there we are - thankfully its not life and death. I do not know enough about management to comment on that but from a distance it looks like;
Unsurprisingly [to most fans I guess] - we havent got a good enough striker. We had transfer windows to sort this out.
Squad looks weak in some positions eg right wing, centre backs, right back and left back - lack of cover or rotation
Some players either tired, head turned or just off their game [btw - can I tell my boss that despite my getting 50k odd a week] that I get tired doing 95 min of hard work per week - ok maybe 190 mins some weeks.
Its not all over for 4th but maybe nearly. I suppose one of the big issues is - will we either loss players or lose the opportunity to get better players if we are not in CL.
Harry's bollocksed every club he's ever managed. No real surprise that his approach after Capello left has caused our players to lose heart and not give a toss. Seems that everyone at Spurs is eyeing the exit doors right now and that just leaves us poor deluded but stupidly loyal fans wondering where the hell it all went wrong. Only Wolves have worse form over the past 9 games. That's a quarter of the season and I can't see it getting any better. Please god let Harry for England be a done deal.

I still say that the massive season changing moments for me were.....
Defoe's miss at Man City - and I mean his miss not Bale's delayed pass - then in the same match BAE losing/giving away possession in last minute and King making a hash of the tackle.

And even more particularly losing when 0-2 up at Arsenal.
Just listened to it and had quite a bit of Arry's post match talk. I missed - 'couldnt fault the players'. The goal was pretty bad wasnt it. It would be absolutely amazing to win the last 4 having won only 1 of the last 9. As Arry said -'we will see what they are made of'

It's been an unusual & increasingly unpleasant season. Non-football related events have adjusted the schedule & taken a toll. The Riots, the ff'ing court case, Arry's jam tart. Then theres the Olympic stadium bent-as-u-like pantomime, the Muamba (near) tragedy, the England merry go round & weakening of the team in the january window. On the pitch, le Arse, shockingly awful, the AVB project followed by salvation in RVP & the smug impact of Di Matteo. There has been a dvd release worth of sinister refereeing decisions against us. In amongst some horrible results has been some soaring superb football from the lillywhites.Its all going to waste now because of Levy's transfer window(sssssss) frugality (Look at what a few million has bought Fulham & Toon up front ffs) & good ol Arry has fucked it up showroom style, with his inability to rotate &overkill on the over the hill. Disgusting.
Good shout Hazard on the difference some decent strikers have made to other ordinary sides. But tell me - if we can see it - why cant [couldn't] Levy. Do you think deep down Arry knows this which is why he has said for a while that we need a couple more players to stake a claim.
