The new Spurs shirt...it's very bold

Via the official site.

Lovely minimalistic design by Puma. Shame about the mental size bold fontface. I know a sponsor pays the money to have their logo on the shirt, but too much trouble to ask for them to match colours with shirt and perhaps sort of have a more subtle font for the name? It's not like nobody isn't going to see it if its slightly less boldy. It's on the front of the shirt staring right back at us.

Shirts are released on September the 14th. Clever.

My name is Luka...I live in the second kit.

Yes, I'm complaining. Only fair to do so after I did the same with the yellow-streaky shirt. Still, on a positive note:

Bold > yellow streaks

So hands up if you're gonna get Modric 14 printed on the back?

UPDATE:

Oh Christ. I had not seen the third kit. In a rather cruel twist of irony and fate, here it is:

Bold AND a random yellow streak.

Wow.

I...have...nothing...more...to...say....

Home kit looks classic stylie, 2nd is a return to purple for the 1st time since mid 90's? And the third... ummm. Yeah, they hardly ever wear the 3rd change, think we must have worn the current one about three times in all competitions, what's the point? Just the usual rip off tactics. Yawn. Lets try and make a law against 3rd change eh? What's the streak of 'wee wee' for???

The purple one looks much better with shorts and socks. The others are fine. Heck, I didn't take to last season's kit the first time I saw it, so there is plenty of time...

@delboy. I saw those posted somewhere else a while back and had my hopes up. I'll pin my hopes on UnderArmour and a sponsor with a decent logo now. I've seen the goalie kit posted somewhere and that makes even the purple one here look fantastic.

Kit or no kit, who gives a shit? eveery season its the same. Change the kit, make more money!!! its business!!! Simples.
Now to new signings. Before I start I just want to gloat a little. Last saeason I said we should sign Gyan, Yaya Toure (who would also have a better season than The Hudd), Suarez (we've all seen how good he is), Contreao (of Benfica) and Lugano (Uruaguay). If you follow football and not just the EPL you will have noticed they had excellent seasons for their respective clubs and there is much speculation of transfer talk again in this summer window. After making these suggestions I got gunned by some fans, who I said should stop watching just the EPL because its NOT the best league in the world. I could go on for ages but alas I wont.

Signings - Keeper - Igor Akinfeev. Better than Gomes & Old Man Brad
Defence - Samba. Has a defensive Brain. Is Solid. A Man Mountain And he's better than Dawson, who lacks concentration. Every now and again He falls asleep a la BAE. If only we could sign Kompany or someone like him. That would be perfect. He has brains, composure, awareness and in Italy they say the sign of a good defender is clean shorts a la Gallas, Thuram, Maldini, Nesta, Thiago Silva. Sell Woodgate.
MIdfield - Personally I think we are fine here. There is room for improvement and Arry has his heart set on Scott Parker. Need to buy another defensive midfielder. Sell Palacios, o Hara, Kranjcar and maybe Jenas who did play well alstt season but we need to improve so I would sell him.
Strikers - Falcao ( a Colombian version of Tevez), Leandro and Cavani or Etoo. Sell Keane ( led the drinking culture at Spurs, Arry wants rid of), Pav - to lazy for me but works well with Modric. Still sell him though, The Croutch - my mum says he is tall for nothing. When will this boy put on some weight. Keeps getting muscled off the ball by people half his size ( Baines, Clichy, Rapheal, let alone someone like Samba, Cahill, Kompany, Lescott). He needs to be lodged to Sunderland or Wigan.
If you look at the spine of the team it needs to be solid even with the subs in it.

Keeper - Friedel
Defence - Gallas, Dawson/ Samba
Midfield - Sandro/ Parker, Modric
Forwards -Falcao, Cavani/ Etoo

Its transfer time so spurs as usual will delay as much as possible and wait til all the bigger clubs get their men and sign the cast-offs. A fcuking poor mans mentality if you ask win.
If you want to win the EPL sign players who are capable of doing it. BIg global companies pay through the nose to hire the right management team, ENIC should know that yet the bargain hunt, when it comes to the football club. Don't make sense to me.

Anyway COYS and English Premier & Champions League - here we come.

I just think it is dickish of Spurs to release a new kit knowing that this will be the last year with Puma. This means once Under Armor come on board, it will be ANOTHER complete new kit. And these jerseys aren't cheap.

Hmmm, you did though didn't you...?
Would just like to congratulate you on unearthing those gems, should be a scout methinks...Levy, sign this fucking genius up pronto!

I got slatted for it so alls well that ends well and If I was a scout I would look at technical players with a football brain rather than the "he's big and strong, put him up front", " he can run all day" mentality. Palacios could run all day but he can't pass 5 yards. Yaya can pass all day but he has grown into the EPL and can now run all day. So no Connor Wickham and more Edison Cavani. Its easier to make a player stronger, fitter than to teach him football technique and awareness.

Oh and O'Hara went for 5 million apparently!! Now to get rid of out 2 bob strikers - Keane, Pav, The Croutch and get some decent forwards, all of whom can score a gol out of nothing.
Falcao, (not sure how this will happen if Porto boss goes to Chelsea but can get Hulk instead), Cavani, Leandrao, Etoo.

Imagine yourseld as a defender playinig against our stikers. It doesnt put the fear into you, as opposed to playing against Drogba, Rooney/ Hernandez, Van Persie, Tevez/ Ballotelli even Suarez/ Carroll. A fcuking headache, mate. Super soft Spurs need to toughen up in this area if they want to win the League or even get into Champions League.

COYS!!!

Aside from ignoring the 8 home grown player rule, thinking Spurs are bankrolled by a billionaire and somehow managing to sell Woodgate when he's out of contract you talk some sense Special One. Although that would be quite special if we managed to pull that one off!!

Luka has proved technical ability is a good quality, but Arsenal continue to lose out because come March there players are drained and the stronger / more powerful teams pull away.
Playing in England week in week out takes it from the players, no doubt about that.

You need a good balance, Rooney and Tevez are prime examples of strong players with great technical ability.

Did you also spot Hernandez? That was a great bit of business. Really we need to be unearthing these type of players before they are being touted for 30m as United did with him.

Bargain basement is a bit harsh on the club, I think the management at the club are just more realistic than the fans. 150k a week for Eto'o is never going to happen at the Lane, we can't afford to pay those kinds of wages.

I don't disagree special one, but it's nothing new is it? We all want the 'marquees' but end up with the monkees if we're paying peanuts (in relative terms of course: wouldn't mind those peanuts myself)

5m for ohara great businses i think. liked him a lot and wish him all the best. he'll get an england game in the next few years im sure. not saying much i grant you. like the new kits but club gets enough out of me so will not be lumping out a nifty on one.
modric situation is fascinating, all eyes on Levy. he lovse it im sure coz he always comes away with a great deal. i reckon we are looking at 50m now. id take that and who cares what 'arry says he'll be off in a year anyway. Jose please.

Why did Autonomy have to go and pick such a nasty font for the Aurasma logo? Putting the size of it aside, the clash between the two fonts used in the logos is not even balanced. If "Aurasma" was placed on the jersey on its own, I might not have had such a big issue with it. Oh well, overall the kits are easy on the eye.

One more thing... for some odd reason I can only see blue and not purple. What's wrong with me??? Am I brainwashed?

Anyone got a link to the new goalkeeper kits?
