Bale Magic!

In the worlds before Bale, Premier chaos reigned.

Sky Sports sought order; but the Tottenham can fly only when its feathers are grown.

The Big Four worlds formed again and yet again, as endless aeons wheeled and passed. Time and the pure essences of Cardiff, the moisture of Southampton, the powers of the Levy and the Comolli all worked upon a certain rock, known as the Left Flank. And it became magically fertile.

That first egg was named "Transfer". Jol Buddha, the Father Buddha, said, "With this transfer we make the world". Elemental forces caused the egg to hatch. From it then came a Welsh gem.

The nature of Bale was irrepressible!

Born from an egg on a mountain top
The swaggest looking Welsh kid that ever popped
He knew every magic flick under the sun
To tease the Lane
And Shelf Side and Pax-ton
Bale magic, Bale magic (repeat 4 times)

What a pulsating tricky monkey this one is
The Gods of Fate were angered
And so they punished him
Ligament damage and no league win unexpressed
And that was the start
Of his jinx conquest
Bale magic, Bale magic (repeat 4 times)

With a little bit of Harry magic
Bale is now alright
With a little bit of wing magic
He’ll destroy the red and blue scum alright
Gallivanting from deep on the left hand side
The sexiest pob beast that ever popped
He knew every step-over trick under the sun
To tease the Lane
The Shelf Side and Pax-ton
Bale magic, Bale magic (repeat 4 times)

Original theme tune of Monkey Magic by Godiego. Re-invention idea by Dr Oyvind, re-work by Spooky.

we do seriosuly need to get him on a new long term deal!!!
he totaly deserves it!!

who does that make 'pixie' and 'piggy'?

tbf, you could write anything today and I'd love it. I'll even listen to politicians argue amongst each other today, if the situation arises, without throwing anything at the tv (actually maybe I'll just press he mute button as a comprimise).

Mr Bale, we 'heart' you too. Now sign the damned contract for your soul in blood, that keeps you at WHL until 2020 and we'll all be happy.

His recent performances have been inhuman, and certainly magic. Now we know.....Thanks for the trip down memory (White Hart) lane....

I'd watch this tv show.

Piggsy - Huddlestone
Pixie - Modric

Apr 19, 2010 at 12:23 PM | Unregistered CommenterThe Machine

Who's 'Pixie'? Maybe I don't remember the show that well! I know 'Sandy' and 'Pigsy'! Corluka could be a good Sandy. O' Hara could be Pigsy!

Apr 19, 2010 at 12:24 PM | Unregistered CommenterTonyTott

Sandy, that's the fella!

Apr 19, 2010 at 12:26 PM | Unregistered CommenterThe Machine

Damn, showing my age now...

Apr 19, 2010 at 12:28 PM | Unregistered CommenterTonyTott

I also know him as Sandy and TonyTott LOL...Corluka IS Sandy...life imitating art, so to speak.

So what is this bloody Pixie?

Oh, not to forget Spooky...that one is really left field, but what lovely sentiments.

Monkey magic indeed.

Apr 19, 2010 at 12:43 PM | Unregistered CommenterJep

Someone made the point that we should get certain players to have a clause in their contract whereby they have a huge buy out price. This will warn other teams off them. Sounds like a good idea if we can do this?

Bale for me is a better left winger then left back. He can play both positions as he is that talented but the left wing is where he sooooo dangerous. The pace, the positions he picks up, crossing, heading! God the list goes on!!!! Teams are so scared of him.

The boy is CLASS!!!!! Finally we have a left winger, the last one was Ginola!

Also think the partnership Dawson and Bassong have built is fantastic, this has helped us no end...

Apr 19, 2010 at 12:46 PM | Unregistered CommenterRick

Tricky; it's Pigsy and Sandy.

Not forgetting Tripitaka or The Horse/Dragon!

:)

Rick - It is early days with Bale, so we really don't know his best position. He has played well in both positions so far. For some reason, Harry is convinced that he is a left back. I think it is because he has so much energy that he can OWN the left wing - the left midifielder and Bale can double up well, whilst still being fit enough to get back and defend. But to me, the boy can be what he wants to be.

Tripitaka = Levy.

Apr 19, 2010 at 1:05 PM | Unregistered CommenterTerry Nutkins

I'm clearly too young to get this one, but I appreciate the sentiment. The boy is world class, surely he has to be the best left-back in the world?

Apr 19, 2010 at 1:05 PM | Unregistered CommenterSheffSpur

I'm concerned that the likes of City and Utd will bid for him in the summer.

Apr 19, 2010 at 1:05 PM | Unregistered CommenterOllie

Water Margin was superb.

Apr 19, 2010 at 1:06 PM | Registered Commenterspooky

We need to hold onto him at any cost! I don't care if they offer £20+. He should NOT be for sale!

Go to you tube and listen to the saw doctors hay wrap song Baling, baling hay, hay the boy is a class act the song is crap but it will get the lane rocking. Harry get a new contract on the table quick.

Apr 19, 2010 at 1:21 PM | Unregistered Commenterspurskid

20 million does not even come close. I'd say 30 mil. Besides he is still 20 years old, and I think that he would sit tight for a while - since it is going well. The last 1-2 years haven't been great for him, so he knows what it is like to move up a level, and then not quite cut it for a while - why risk it now? He seems level-headed and grounded. He has plently of time for the top teams in England, Spain, Italy - and hopefully we can give him a taste of Champions League football at Spurs.

Apr 19, 2010 at 1:22 PM | Unregistered CommenterTonyTott

Classic. Just imagine what we could do with the inform Monkey Magic Boy bombing down the left and Azza bombing down right. It would be a blitzkrieg. I can't wait to see that. At Old Traford?

There has to be a 3 year extension in the works before the summer. Don't wont to be spending the summer months reading in the know bullshit about how United are coming in for him.

Can I add one thing , I have never seen a better Tottenham team and I have followed them through and through since 1959. I Really know from my gut feelings that we will dick Manure on sat ...I have correctly predicted the last 2 so for me on sat
Manure 1-3 Tottenham.

Replt to Sheffspur
As far as I understand that his contract expires at the end of the 2011/ 2012 season, this is why Thud and others have been offered new contracts in the last month or so, but I did not hear of Bale making an extension at this stage, but I think that it will be a formallity because he is in our family and still a baby , I have no worries about any extension

Apr 19, 2010 at 1:46 PM | Unregistered CommenterOsvaldo Villa

If we beat Utd I would gladly see City slap up Arsenal. Imagine if we finished above L'Arse? The footballing prophet Robbie Keane would be proved right; we do have a better bench!

I'm finding it really difficult not to get too carried away...

Cheers Villa, thats useful info!

Apr 19, 2010 at 1:58 PM | Unregistered CommenterSheffSpur

Lets not get carried away guys (next season), we should all have our fingers crossed that L'Arse spank City 5-0 this weekend. We are just about clinging onto 4th and are only one slip away from throwing it away! Every game has to be like a cup final now, lets hope the boys can do it

Apr 19, 2010 at 2:09 PM | Unregistered CommenterOssie

Great pic btw....
I don't care what it takes but we MUST hold onto the lad (Neville might have the same philospohy come Sat actually)
I want us to be sponsored by Fyffes next year, and Levy MUST hang a tyre from the tree in his back garden, let's do all we can. Eric ISN'T fucking Banaman OK?!
We heart you too Gareth.
Must be all that bamboo he eats...check it out if you haven't seen it.

I also have concerns the so called big five will not like what we are achieving this season and so will want to disrupte us next season. Mr Levy if your watching, get Bale, Dawson, Lennon, Palacios, and Modric on the best contracts you can offer, or else they will come tapping, mark my words.

Apr 19, 2010 at 3:08 PM | Unregistered CommenterCarthage

I think árry put bale on left back is because we have too many midfielders. with bale on back, he can overlap modric on the left wing.

anyway, 3 things to ponder....

if....

1. harry decided to cash in on bale last summer?

2. we bought downing and we bench bale due to his hefty transfer fee?

3. BAE was not selected for african nations and subsequently injured?

hmmm, i wonder wonder wonder....anyway, ca't wait for lennon to come back to tear up the right too...

Whatever the result at old trafford I think we will give them the game of their lives. This season has been
a learning process for Harry as well as the players.

The league game at WHL
1-3, Luka got crocked, Manu trying to get Wilson sent off, Ledley pulled up at half time, Cudicini was deputising (Jus saying Gomez is Ace). Manu bring on that Cad Carrick who again hurts us with his passing. (Why he only does it against us).

Quarter final CC
2-0 Harry goes with two littleuns up front and bentley on right lennon on the left (uncomfortable and not getting much of the ball). Completly dominated them and lost. I'll remember that game because modric was out & jenas & palacious were centre to start (palacious having a mare). All slick passing & no penetration and Bentley wasting most of the free-kicks and crosses .(although to be far all he had to aim at was PSB & Defoe). Hutton at RB letting players pass him by for both goals. Bale played !!

On to this Saturday then and what have we learned ??

Palacious is great but if anything the week its shown that pressing to high up the pitch against quality oppo is not the answer. Hudds sitting back & Modric showing a bit more discipline in centre mid helped with bale will hurt any team.

Bentley & Kaboul on the right are doing an admirable job but if lennon was fit.. omg..jus omg, omg.

Upfront Defoe has started to pass the ball, huzzah but u can see he's not 100% fit. Crouch should only be used as an injury time sub, gudjohnseon is the closeupgame/impact sub for me. Pav although missing chances is at least there to miss them.

I think Modric with exact revenge on Manu for his injury and it could be another 2-1 otherwise a score draw.

COYS

Apr 19, 2010 at 4:10 PM | Unregistered CommenterTheInvisibleJenas

that should be 1-2

Apr 19, 2010 at 4:12 PM | Unregistered CommenterTheInvisibleJenas

Tony Tott, I think Bale is better on the left wing, Harry has moved him to this positon and he is fair more effective there. He has the beating of defences so put him on that left wing if that is where he wants to play. Don't change it.

On another note...

The few ‘Arry Out’ comments you see flying about, must be from 20 or so Spurs fans because the rest of us think those comments are absolutely ridiculous. Or these comments are made by rival fans that can’t stand to see Spurs doing well. Sad.

Apr 19, 2010 at 4:32 PM | Unregistered CommenterRick

the only thing i worry about is who do we bring on if we are 1-0 or 2-0 down... i wouldn't bet on either TMP or the ice man to get goals off the bench. if we are in the lead, then these are decent alternatives, but not when we are chasing a game. i think this is the main area we need to strengthen over the summer.
