Build it and they will come

And they will. From Enfield, Chingford and Hertfordshire, in their thousands. BELIEVE.

Stewart Hugo. What a hero. He'll probably get his own brick in the Arsenalistion (no really, its a proper word describing how they plan to turn their home into a very visible stronghold) of the Emirates. Not sure why they're making a big deal out of it considering the work was completed years back. It's called Woolwich.

Anyways, read Hugo's masterpiece here. Apparently he makes the suggestion we don't have any young supporters. Damn that pesky gooner club, churning out teenage supporters via a top secret clandestine project; 'The Boys from South London'. Humourless cloned borgs, drowning in red scarfs. The experiment obviously leaving them devoid of the ability to sing although curiously some have developed muscular spasms that sees them jumping and waving their arms around relentlessly. You'll note they've been grouped all together in the far corner of the ground in the hope nobody will notice this cruel abomination.

Reckon when we DO (ya hear that Hugo?) finish building the new stadium we should Tottenhamlistion it. We could include memorial days in our history like when we bought Raziak and when we sold Raziak and that time we beat Southend in the cup. Or when we sacked Gross, what a party we had on that day. Giddy times.

Special mention to Fabio (now that's what I call a letter) for his kind words. Read the rest of the ranting and support at Haringey Gov site. Stop playa hating Hugo, you absolute melter.

Hi. just stumbled across this site yesterday and i have to say im impressed. I normally avoid chatrooms/forums etc like the plague, being as they are full of morons, but the author of these atricles is surprisingly spot on regarding most things.

However, i have to pull you up on one thing. I know its not the right thread, but i have to say im amazed that there is this apparent 'division' among spurs fans about the form of Tom Huddlestone. It's totally ridiculous, and im sad to say is indicative of the general attitude of (even intelligent) football fans. The attitude seems to be that unless someone hares around the pitch at top speed for 90 minutes, then they are not trying, and a waste of space. I hear people complaining that he doesn't run around and hammer people as much as Palacious. Consider for a second the possibility that Radknapp has actually told him to behave in this manner.

It would be stupid, and counter-productive to have him behave like that. Its not his job. Ok, so look at Micheal Essien. He tears round the pitch like a flippin cyborg. but the point is, that without his brilliant passing and reading of the game, all that running around would be pretty redundant. he'd just be zokora. or jenas. Both of those players may have superb engines, but without the brains to efficiently distribute the ball, you are worth very little. Huddlestone does not waste the ball. his passing, which he makes look very easy, is top level. Alonso level. Did you see alonso tearing round the pitch? No, because there is no point.Ditto Carrick. Movement off the ball isnt about running all over the place. its about finding space. huddlestone has found plenty of space this season, and he has used it very effectively.

to the impartial observer, Huddlestone has been clearly 'better' than palacios this season. He has achieved a very consistent level of performance. yes, we need the running and hammertime of palacious, but his passing has been too wayward for my liking. But because palacious is the 'heart on sleeve' type, all the criticism gets loaded onto huddy. It's like a mental block that british football fans have. we (not me obv) seem pre-programmed to get aroused at the sight of someone running fast. I even remember berbatov getting some right slaggings because he didnt run around like alan smith.

I'm fully aware that in the prem, and especially in the midfield, you need to have everything in your locker, in terms of technique and physicality. Huddlestone will, in my opinion, quickly become a complete midfielder. this is really his first run of 2-3 months at least in the side. His improvement has been pretty staggering. I would also say that in 1-2 years time huddlestone will be a vastly superior player to palacios. I know all fans need a scapegoat, but really the first team has been beyond reproach for much of the season. i would go as fas as to say that huddlestone has been one of the most consistent and quality performers. You can't really teach thre outrageous technique he has. you can, however, teacvh fitness, strength, and positioning.

In short, and i know this has been a bit rambling, but if you compare huddlestone to jenas (a genuine waste of space) then you don't know what you're on about! sorry but its true.
