The truth behind Modric's performance on Sunday...

From the world famous secret studio of The Fighting Cock podcast team, it's episode six. Discussed in part one: Twitter re-tweet mission update. Man City debacle autopsy. Livermore > Modric. The truth behind Luka's performance against City. Formation headaches. Centre-back headaches. Positivity and negativity. Harry Redknapp is dissected (it gets ugly) along with our transfer dealings (pre-deadline day) and Neil the Cabbie is back with a brand new rant. In part two we laugh at the scum (lol) and whether we should in fact be laughing at them. We laugh at them anyway. We've got emails. Also Daniel Levy. Do we love him? Or do we not? Do you love him? A twist on the Tottenham Whisper. And we end with a super-quick game of Killer.

Love the shirt.

I love Levy, because he is there for tottenham not the money, he makes mistakes but it sacks managers when they come to the end (jol and ramos)
Modric may be sold in jan but we have made a point and hopefully we will a point soon.
At present modirc will not fit into chelsea or man u that easily (see how Deco failed and carrick for united)
given time he may but as berb found out manu do not appreciate a good technical footballer like spurs fans do.
Modders should look at these players and similar players who have gone to man city who end up loaned to any one who wants in the end.
His career could be more fulufilling at tottenham with more games but a fool is easily misled.

I think it's easy to have a go at Modric. He still played well on Sunday. Remember, he was unfit. He still looked better than Niko, Lennon and Bale. All who played terribly.

He wasn't booed off, it was more of a groan that he couldn't last the game and that it might have been his last game for us. (just got to that it in the Podcast, and one of you has made nearly exactly these points - the American one has now talked rubbish [embarrassing?!]!)

Livermore runs around a lot, but like one of you said, he probably won't make it. But who knows? We might have someone come through the youth team for once.

The podcast is getting better now that there is actually something to talk about. Everyone seems a bit more relaxed too.

It was funny when Flav mispronounced 'mausoleum' and all you numpties pretended that that was how it was pronounced. Clearly none of you had a clue.

For the record. I did not nod my head in agreement.

Then again, I can't hardly speak English as it is.

Modric played well. Really. Livermore at least fought a bit and did not let Man City walk through us. All about balance. Stupid midfield 4 put out by Redknap. Livermore is certainly better than jenas though!

I can only assume that people who say Modric played well on Sunday weren't at the match. His play and attitude were a disgrace. The way he pointed to send BAE chasing a player for the third goal while he stood and did nothing summed it up. AWFUL. I live in hope his attitude will improve but am not about to delude myself that he is anything other than a mercenary.

The money is so great anyone would be affected...modric has done nothing wrong except get an astronomical offer .a winning lottery ticket with champs league side of talent..

I've been a Spurs fan all my life, 72 now, saw all the greats play from Ramsey, Dave Mc, Blanchflower,Jimmy G, and the rest. The present team and have a few good players, and too many who think they are,but we will never be great while we follow the policy of Harry's wheeling and dealing. they messed about wth the Parker deal who they could have had in the last window . should have got Gary C. It's no use moaning about they wages they get, thats the way it is. If you want to be the best you have to pay the best or at least keep up with the top teams. They should off loaded Crouch, Defoe, Keane ages ago, the problem was we can't score goals.

Got to say I thought modric did ok. Played out of position when he got the ball he was useful, was chasing back in the first half, by the time he went off probably very disheartened, did we look like a team capable of competing with city? No.
Also was he match fit? Probably not.

Will wait to see how he performs in his usual role with Parker, sandro or potentially both behind him.

Always strikes me as funny people talk about players commitment and then loads of empty seats with 10 minutes to go. Where's the difference?

The main difference is that the fans are paying good money to be there, whereas the players are being paid vulgar amounts to be there.

It's quite a big difference.
