This is episode 5 of The Fighting Cock podcast, this week recorded (Wed 24th) at a secret location (ooh, hush hush) which wasn't a pub. Usual suspects present. We talk Tori Black, Hayley McQueen, Joey Barton (again) and Luka Modric (again, boo hiss boo). Spooky feebly apologises for last weeks Robbie Keane stat debacle and we've got a Utd defeat post-mortem and a City preview/hating session. There's also a shocking result in this weeks game of killer and the début of Nananalysis.
Emails too. Someone wins a book for the best answer re: What is the Tottenham Whisper? (although we still don't actually know what it is). Barry Glendenning gets slated and we slag off modern football and ask 'top 4 or trophy?'. It will make you crymax.

I'll do my best to bite my lip. Thing about the pod is, if we weren't recording it, we'd probably still talk that way.

The first time i have listened to the pod, stopped after a few minutes, you guys are falling into the trap, utter drivel and nonsense to begin with, do not think that people listen to the podcast to listen to you going on about what you did this week etc, your not funny or interesting, the only reason people will listen is because its about the mighty spurs, its not about you, get it or lose it.
I take exception to that Vancouver. What makes the podcast, is the mix of personalities within the team. Giving the listeners an insight into us as people is essential to get full effect from the discussion and points made. We'd like to think that the charm of TFC is that it's as 'real' as when any other group of football supporting mates get together with a few drinks.
Vancouver, soz about that, but had you just stuck with it, you'd have loved it. What trunk said.
And it is about us talking about the mighty Spurs. Just 5 random Spurs fans, all different backgrounds, talking about what we love. Which we do. For practically 55 of the 60 minutes.
Apropos Top 4 or a Cup ... When we qualified for the Champions League it was effectively a promotion. That's why we celebrated it so much. Barry Glendenning is a bit of a buffoon to draw parallels between this achievement and Sun-Der-Land's 0-3 win, but he does an excellent job for The Guardian, even though he knows next to nothing about football.
So, finishing Top 4 was a promotion. Finishing 5th means we are now dealing with what is, in effect, a relegation. Winning a Cup transcends a club's league position. As illustrated by A*se and Birmingham last season.
Hopefully we'll end this season with both Top 4 and a Trophy.
Van- get your own bloody show and show us how its done! I think its great chatter- lads who love their footie, their club and not afraid to show it- via blogs or pod-casts- they love the shirt... get it or lose it.

you talk how i think and feel, its good to have different personalities on there. And general banter and shit ramblngs is also good, otherwise it would be robotic and thats not the point of this - it's meant to be a fans podcast ffs not a SSN presentation.
not listened to this one yet, have all the others - saving it for later when all the mindless shit is on tv and my missus gets her fix like a crackhead with an 8-ball, gurning away watching eastenders like her life depends on it. I on the other hand will be sat puffing away on a big phat zoot and bong to hand, these poddies go lovely with class b's, oh actually they don't do they? hahaha
