Have a happy 'post' this season and even happier 'pre' next season. Agree with all as usual. It hurts as usual. COYS as usual.

seconded... as usual.

M*ton F*lop should be captured and put on an extraordinary rendition flight to Kroenkestan.

I am beginning to loathe football. - Seriously though, I will go absolutely bonkers if Levy doesn't do good business this window. Verthongan wants to play for us, and I understand something about the money being a stumbling block?! In a position that seriously needs work, we could really spend the c*nting money and stop messing about. Let's fix areas that need fixing have a nice little pre-season and then hopefully a better one than the one just gone. It wasn't great, it could have been better.

Looking at that list , essentially anything that could go wrong did in fact actually go even wronger. But at least Fabrice Muamba made it through ok. COYS.

still absolutely gutted! but looking forward to next season even without modric but he will only be going if a good ofu fer comes in as we found out last time levy will not be bullied! and if he does there are plenty of people who can replace him! reports suggest vertonghen still wants to put on the shirt :-) and levy is in Holland trying to get a deal done. our chief scout was in Brazill on Sunday watching damio. hopefully we can get something done there! would also like dembele. we will soon find out how much Ade loves us when he sees are contract offer! Hazard is obviously not going to happen so hopping city get him so we can take Johnson of them! COYS!!

Hey... don't blame it on the boogie.

May 21, 2012 at 9:46 PM | Unregistered Commenterbaz

Notice how Levy & Redknapp are conspicuous by their silence. Hopefully they realise how much they've both let our club down.

May 21, 2012 at 9:47 PM | Unregistered CommenterJam shoes

Levy in Holland, Chief scout in Brazil, wtf is Harry doing?

Oh of course, he is taking a break because he's tired. Tired? he's been sleeping on the bench for 9 months.

I may be wrong about this...... I watch a lot of games and the managers of the next opponents of those teams playing are often shown in the crowd. Can anyone ever remember seeing Harry scouting future opponents, cause I can't.

May 21, 2012 at 9:50 PM | Unregistered Commenterricksmg

harry met up with remy last week!

May 21, 2012 at 10:05 PM | Unregistered Commenterrobbie

chill out a bit folks. we are 35m down, so we sell mods and hudd comes in next season. we still have firepower in the transfer market, ok we lose the cache of CL but thats not the be all and end all for every transfer target. we've suffered a blow, but not a fatal one.
lets see how well the goons do without rvp next season. stepping stone club arsenal.

May 21, 2012 at 10:08 PM | Unregistered Commenterdixta

Why don't you ask Levy how much money he received from Arsenal for the third spot ? Actually for the second time after "LasagnaGate".
I stop supporting Spurs - this is no more football but cheap mon(k)ey game.
Arevoirs ......... To dare is to do - hahahahahahhahahahahahahahahaha what a joke ............

May 21, 2012 at 10:16 PM | Unregistered CommenterSpursKing

At the start of the season we'd have bitten your hand off for fourth place. We got fourth spot and as we all know should have taken third. Get behind the team and the manager and the chairman who have put together the greatest spurs team we've seen for ages and stop acting like knob heads wanting everyone replaced just because Chelsea got lucky. Remember Ramos , be carefull what you wish for Redknapp is a great manager and was unlucky this season .A couple of descent transfers and were rolling again.
Stop your bitching and get behind your team you mugs.

May 21, 2012 at 10:19 PM | Unregistered CommenterWilks

It’s farcical the length of that list. Can’t argue with any of the points. (Bit harsh on The Boogie though).

The catalyst however IMO is J Fcuking T. Had he not called A.Ferdinand what he did, the FA would have kept him as Captain and Capello would have seen out the Euros.

The is no argument that Redknapp’s mind was with England. Before that we were just fabulous. The real deal. Following that 1 win in 9. Woy gets the job and we finish with 3 wins out of 4.

I read that he had his shin pads on under his pulled up socks. Didn’t see it. Had to turn over for fear of putting the missus through the tele. Utter. UTTER. Cnut.

May 21, 2012 at 10:37 PM | Unregistered Commenterzenspurs

List is a bit transfer lite imo. Add waiting until Manchester stuffed us before moving in the summer, kipping through January, and breaking even while others were breaking the bank over the past 3 years, none of that helped either, just as valid reasons as anything else on the list. Actually Fulop's hat trick is worthy of special mention. Quite remarkable. On the bright side Ade says he wants to stay and we can go for the title next season without CL to distract us. COYS!

May 21, 2012 at 10:50 PM | Unregistered Commentercoys

blame it on me for buying a 50" TV........JD would`ve comfortably reached it on a 46" screen - and Drogba`s header would've gone over.

Seriously worried about the comment saying huddlestone will come in to replace modric...I dont want a player with the mobility o an oil tanker in the midfield, VDV in the Modric role would be much better

Spurs for being the only club capable of losing a cup final they weren't even playing in <<<<<<<<<<This perfectly sums up my beautiful, slatternly flirtatious club !!

You have however neglected to mention Diamond Lights, the moment the footballing gods firmly turned their backs upon us

May 21, 2012 at 11:17 PM | Unregistered Commenterdevon yid

Yeah Dan, why have a player who was an ever present in the one season where we actually achieved CL football!

I blame the riots. It left an even greater negativity in N17...surly this affected the players?

May 21, 2012 at 11:24 PM | Unregistered CommenterJohnnyB

There are worse things that will and can happen. At the root of so much trouble in soccer in England is the FA. From the farce of the last World cup, to Terry as a captain in the first place, to the lunacy of dealing with Capello and yes to their dithering with Roy v Harry. Not until they are cleared out and are replaced by ex-players from the top level--there are many with fine minds and business backgrounds--then nothing will change.

May 21, 2012 at 11:29 PM | Unregistered CommenterDavid

I will shorten the blame list.
Harry. For knowing it wasn't right at 2-0 & not going 4-5-1 straight after after the penalty.
Levy. For not signing the strikerS needed for several windows...yadda yadda yadda.

May 21, 2012 at 11:46 PM | Unregistered CommenterHazzzard

blame me. I went for a piss 3 times in 90 mins on the last day of the season. Each time, l`arse scored.

May 21, 2012 at 11:53 PM | Unregistered Commentermoe

Redknapp is the problem here. He is to blame. His tactics are poor. His use of the squad and substitutions are terrible and his activity in the transfer market is awful. He doesn't have a very good knowledge of foriegn leagues (who's ganso anyone?)! He only ever buys past it, out of favour or injury prone players from the premier league which limits us. 85% of his signings at spurs have either been sold, are out on loan, or don't play. That is a huge proportion! What other manager has as many coaches as him yet we can't defend set pieces or take a decent corner! For 4 seasons we have needed a long term GK, CBs and quality striker..we haven't got any of them! Redknapp makes me so angry because under a better manager this team would have progressed and done so much better. The chance we had has all but gone and redknapp has ruined that chance. The last few seasons managed by a manager who's level is relegation battles. He is so out of his depth its unreal! Look how many old players he has brought and now will have to replace in the squad. The mans a fraud! Not only this season but look how last ended as well, last ten games and nothing. This teams own un-guided and unmanaged quality carries redknapps faults untill he burns them out with a lack of rotation. If we had signed that quality striker all those ade misses would have been scored. Ade is not quality. His first touch and shooting are appalling. He spends more time on the wing than in the box, his hold up play is good but like bale needs to be told his position, again poor management. Harry may have got CL but Jol nearly did and he had a worse squad. Also redknapps team were not as good then as now, the core he inherited have progressed. In 2010 when CL was secured, liverpool were so bad and city not quite there yet. That's why we got it. But now, with the players Harry has in the squad we should be doing better. As it turns out, Liverpool had a better season than us. Atleast they won a trophy and got to a final of another to get there europa spot! If we continue with Harry we will go nowhere but backwards with an old squad and many players to replace, just like portsmouth and southampton..look what happened to them after Redknapp left! He also never shuts his mouth! He blames everyone and thing apart from himself including the fans, players etc as he tries to deflect the blame elsewhere. What exactly does he do apart from talking to the press?! Get rid of Redknapp Levy, he is the root cause of all our troubles. Europa league, a cup and another final wasn't good enough for Liverpools board, they changed manager. We need someone who shows some ambition at the club and doesn't treat it like a joke. Belittling the club and fans when you've only ever won the one trophy redknapp is asking for the sack anyway! We need someone tactically aware and good in the transfer market. There are managers out there. Hiddink, Ancelotti and many others. To dare is to DO!

May 22, 2012 at 12:28 AM | Unregistered Commenterjay

wilks is dead on. Best spurs team I can remember, largely due to Levys (eventual) good stewardship. The day we stop F***** about with the money is the day our club goes down the toilet.

Incidentally wage bill and spend wise we should be about 7th. Something for people Harry bashing to think about. Yes he's bloody irritating with his media crap, and he couldn't strategise his way out of a paper bag, but he gets the team playing good football and as a team. Something successive managers until Jol couldn't do...and what happened with Jol? Well he wasn't good enough to take us to the next level and had some tactical flaws, so we got that years AVB and look how that went. Grass is always greener lads, enjoy what we have. Be pissed off but don't get bitter/stupid.

Oh and it is literally Chris Foys fault. Nobody is that bad at refereeing, thats all I'm saying. Adjusted prem table has us third (and Man U 1st, incidentally). http://s.telegraph.co.uk/graphics/html/tables/Version3/tables/web810.html

May 22, 2012 at 12:44 AM | Unregistered CommenterSeries

Ok its not our fault ok.The feckers moved the posts and the line come to think about it.Right lets sell Luka and get that guy at Fulham whats his name Dmebelle or something.Say 10ml +a bentley. That should do it.Then as that other guy at that team that cheated us out of what was ours by parking the bus is very unhappy because he did not get to take a kick of the ball at the end whats his name.Oh yes Torres.Lets say 20ml for him as he is pretty poor but he could do a hell of a job with the chicken badge shirt on.Now lets sell that crazy huggy bear lookalike at left back A&E and with his money +that crap pienaar guy lets get Baines. Now is that it oh no.Lets get shot of Bassong ,Gomes,Niko,Charlie and Dos Santos and get A Johnson or Hoilett and lets add big Ade/Damaio and Vertoghen. All looking good for next season.

thats it Davyspurstillidie, team sorted now let HR try and fuck that up, i know it will be hard, but I am sure harry will give it his best, what with enept substitutions, half the players out on loan, and every excuse under the sun, should be a wonderful season.......

series - lennon in goal, torres at centre half, vertonghen up front.............oh yeah he could fuck it up!
Bollocks to any of em who want to leave. We should be making a fuss of lennon, jd, walker, kaboul, daws, vdv - if we had a squad with their level of talent and attitude we`ll be better off than a few good uns, some duds and one or two `superstars` as we have now.

Great post and some great comments. Made me feel just a little bit better. Only a little, but definitely a bit.

Especially the bit about the silence. Golden. Apparently Harry wants a holiday because he's a bit tuckered out... Probably tired from sitting up all night trying to work out an England formation that could actually include Fat Frank.

May 22, 2012 at 2:20 AM | Unregistered CommenterSeries

mes that`s the spirit. We are Tottenham, i`ve endured this for 40 odd years and it don`t get any better.
We don`t expect, we support for the right reasons.
Anyone see that twat frimpong whatever his name is on the box saying something like `i`m pleased spurs didn`t get CL but disappointed that chelsea won as we wanted to be the first london club to win CL"
And there he speaks for every gooner, they still think they`re big time but totally preoccupied with everyone else.
They`re hurting right now and because of their reasons for supporting their club they can only squat on our blogs and make the most out of beating us by a point. Face to face i always tell them - we know we`re crap - you think you`re good - excellent conversation stopper.
So after all the ups and downs, let`s just be thankful that we`re not them. The mancs and the chavs look like forming their own mini league at the top now leaving the scum fighting with us and the geordies for 4th place. They know it and they can`t cope.
I`m off to bed now, trying to forget JT`s stockings and dreaming of some of that silky stuff we played last season.

May 22, 2012 at 3:30 AM | Unregistered CommenterVictor Meldrew

I'm an Arsenal fan and I don't care that we finished above Tottenham. In fact, I would have been fine to finish 4th below Tottenham as long as Chelsea didn't win the Champion's league as those jammy f**kers didn't deserve it and it's terrible for football. I would even have taken Europa league for them to lose and not because of who they are but for how they played. And btw, I think Tottenham played better than Arsenal for much of the season, let's not stereotype we're not all morons

May 22, 2012 at 3:53 AM | Unregistered CommenterDjibril

Despite everything that went before, with only 2 games to go in the season we had 3rd place in our own hands. Down to 10 men and at 1-1 with Villa, we are totally dominating the game when 'arry makes a sub. Does he go for the kill? Against an absolutely abysmal villa side? Living up to the club motto? No. He shuts the game down, settling for a point and taking 3rd out if our hands. Settling for a point when going for it and losing would have had roughly the same outcome on our league position as a draw did.

Parker on for vDv. THATS when it ended.

Redknapp doesn't care. He's got another top four finish on his CV
