The things we said...
Gomes is a liability, no better than Paul Robinson
That boy Huddlestone is too fat and slow to be effective in central mid
Time for King to hang up his boots, he's spent. We can't accommodate him when he hardly ever plays
BAE is rubbish
Lennon has no end product. Can't cross, can't score
I'll be happy with 6th spot. Or 7th. Does 7th get us into Europe?
Modric is too small and light-weight for the EPL. He can't handle it
Sell Dawson back to Forest. He's Championship quality at best
Harry doesn't have it in him to take us to the next level
What is the point of Gareth Bale?
I saw Spooky outside White Hart Lane throwing frozen shit pellets at the Spurs shop
We're gonna get relegated

"I've said elsewhere, the issue with the internet is that it acts as a tool for micro-analysing. We are all guilty of delving far too deep into things that do not need delving into."
Wow, that's pretty deep mate. Any links to an example of you delving deep into something? Do you save that for another blog maybe?
Only for lucid dreams.
"Does BAE’s attitude merit continued first team selection?"
Erm...what precisely is wrong with BAE's attitude? The cool headed way he dropped to his knees and chested the goal bound ball off the line? Or is it his honesty and rationality that offends you? That he doesn't pander to the fans by saying one thing in front of the cameras and the complete opposite in the changing room?
I don't get it. Keane, (who by the way has made a huge contribution to this club over the years, not least when he, yes, came back from Liverpool last year) is vilified for acting "Mr Spurs" and then leaving the club (though I still put that down to Ramos) yet BAE is being slated for being an honest mercenary who does the job we pay him to do without any badge kissing bullshit. I don't see any tears being shed for Teemo Tanio, who really was a Spurs supporter from childhood yet got shipped off as part of a job lot to Sunderland without so much as a "don't let the door hit you in the ass..."
In this modern game, the clubs have no loyalty to the players. They can't afford it. And you don't expect it. Yet you don't like it when a player doesn't pretend loyalty to the club and you go bug-fuck when they have made the right noises, but later respond to the realities of the situation.
I realize it's not the same posters necessarily criticizing BAE and advocating for Tevez and (gag) Bellamy, but you might want to count up the number of clubs those two have been with, factor in their manner of leaving those clubs, the extracurricular activities (of Bellamy, at least) and ask yourself who you want in the dressing room: a "mercenary" who brings a thoroughly professional attitude to his work or a serial badge-kissing football whore.
Rant over.
I thought we would come 5th and lose in the final to Chelsea - glad I was wrong. We thoroughly deserved 4th.
In a Italian restaurant in Manchester (San Carlos) on Saturday night.......just having a drink at the bar, and in walks Redknapp, Joe Jordan, Clive Allen and a few other members of the back room staff...........come standing up next to me and my mate..........so we had a chat with them and a photo, absolutely diamond guys, down to earth, had a bit of banter and then left them to it.....made my weekend........
I've worked it out.
We are not happy unless we have something to fucking moan about.
The perfect end to a (almost) perfect season in that case WW61!
Defoe, Crouch, Lennon, Huddlestone, Dawson and King are all indeed named to 30-man provision England squad.
We are seeded for CL draw! This is great news. Although no one would have wanted to get us, the fear was we'd get one of the better sides - who are of similar quality to us - ie lyon or sevilla with the second leg away. Now we should get a weaker side - like what we used to get early on in the uefa cup - with the second leg at WHL.
If we can get into the groups one of the top sides in the world will be waiting with at least one side of similar quality to us. Therefore we could get second and go through to the last 16. From there we will play a group winner - most likely one of the top teams around - with the second leg away.
Getting through that could be one step too far but bring it on!!!
Oh damn i've logged on to the HH Knee jerk site??
