No chance of sleep for around 4 million people I'd hazard a guess.

slay them luka. gareth, aaron, you aswell. and tommy you better look after your gifted friends in that midfield. daws, whatever cluster of half-injured men walk out with you tomorrow, guard the tottenham goal. ignore media, journalists, analysts, and all others who talk but don't kick the ball. and lets lay seige to that city goal, and the fakeness. the oily pomp, the italian defence-mad cowering tactics that should be rotting back in seire A, the fans who gave up decades ago, the man guarding it who didn't know he'd be doing so last week. tottenham hotspur deserves it, and owes it to itself.

May 5, 2010 at 12:55 AM | Unregistered CommenterIaG

Just turned 21 so I guess I missed the glory glory days at the lane. Would have been a toddler when we triumphed in 91. And I don't think I've ever been so nervous about a game. Would love to watch the mighty spurs line up against the likes of inter and Barcelona in the champions league and it all comes down to 90minutes tomorrow night. Believe. COYS

Swagger, class, style, passing, movement, attack, space, skill, heart, fearless.

Let's do it.

Banish the Mendes "goal," the dodgy lasagne, the Pompey semi, the memory of Ramos, the sale of Berba, the two turnaround games against Man Utd and Man City. Emerge from the shadow of Chelski and The Arse.

Do it for BMJ, Mabbutt, Danny Blanchflower, Gazza's '91 semi freekick, Ricky's mazy final run, the WHL European nights, Pat Jennings' one handed catches, Ginola's flowing locks.

But mostly, win it for yourselves and for your loyal yid army followers.

COYS.

Win the personal battles, win the game. They may be at home but their keeper looked awful and their defense isn't the greatest!

May 5, 2010 at 11:10 AM | Unregistered CommenterYiddogray

It would be very disappointing to miss out tonight after coming so close.

But if we can keep our players and Harry and the coaches in place and give the manager some money to spend in the summer then we are title contenders for next season.

So all is not lost if we lose tonight and it all makes a nice change from mid table mediocrity with the season over by Easter that we have had so many times before.

I'm super exited about tonight, but am so nervous at the same time. Getting to Manchester nice and early, going to find a local watering hole and settle my nerves. COYS

We will win 2-1. I can feel it

May 5, 2010 at 11:55 AM | Unregistered CommenterFox Mulder

I've never felt so calm before a big game. I'm normally a bag of nerves but I have belief. Let's hope the players feel the same. Fear is the enemy

May 5, 2010 at 12:03 PM | Unregistered CommenterSpurfect

I can see there being 2 defining moments tonight.
City get dubious penalty claim given (Tevez dive)....
We get blatant handball claim for penalty - not given.

i am very nervous to say the least ... smash 'em lads please smash 'em ...

I've not slept properly for the last few days. I can't concentrate at work and newsnow just can't spit out the same stories quick enough for me to read! Proper nervous, like you get before an exam. My City mate is going to the game tonight, I won't be able to bare it if we loose, he will rub it in no end. If we do loose I just hope that the boys give a good account of themselves. I just have a really bad feeling that a REALLY dodgy decision is going to go their way tonight and ruin our chances. Please god let them concede first and for Christ's sake please give our strikers their scoring boots back!

Oh and COYGDMFS!!!!

May 5, 2010 at 12:38 PM | Unregistered CommenterSheffSpur

I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain
(RIP Brian Herbert)
COYS lets smash em up and do it in our usual style and swagger.

May 5, 2010 at 1:56 PM | Unregistered Commenterlilywhite73

Sheffspur...you have just described my day so far. God knows why i came in year today....to get more work done? that was the plan, i think. SImply cannot focus for more than 30 seconds without my thoughts drifting.

COYS!

BTW, did you know we have won 9 of the last 10 meetings with City. Last defeat was in March 2008 when we went on that dreadful run under Ramos after we won the Cup and no one gave a monkeys about the league.

May 5, 2010 at 3:16 PM | Unregistered CommenterDevonshirespur

City are about as inconsistent as we can be in these types of games. I expect them to play like its a City v Utd derby, loads of intensity. Cracking record up there, need to keep the faith.
