FIFA spank dirty Chelsea hard
Ooh.
FIFA haved banned Chelsea from transfer deals until 1.1.2011. Advantage Spurs. We might be able to take back Frank Arnesen on loan until next year. Give him something to do. Bogs in the Park Lane lower are an atrocious mess and we could also do with someone keeping the cubicles cleared of cigarette smoke at half-time.
Now if only Daniel Levy had pushed ahead with his threats and officially complained to the FA about Liverpool and Man Utd rather than accept a couple of donations to the Tottenham Foundation along with inflated transfer fees. That Levy, the defeatist git. Having said that, we made a ton of money from both (Keane & Berbatov) deals and spent some of it on Wilson Palacios. That Levy, the defeatist cleverist git.
To be fair, we should all be a little concerned. Looks like Platini is on the warpath with his racialisticish assault on all things English. Still it's Chelsea, so who cares?
In all fairness to FIFA (and Lens), it's a bit more than just the plain old bog standard traditional tapping up. Sounds like they got this lad to walk out of his club so they can sign him. Allegedly of course. Although FIFA seem to accept that as fact. Talking of FIFA, expect them to reduce the length of the ban when Chelsea appeal. The irony of them waiting until AFTER the transfer window closed to announce this speaks volumes for their lack of testicular fortitude. Or perhaps they waited until it closed to make sure the punishment hurt them more over the course of the next year. Sinister. Platini, back over to you.
Lovely story for a slow-news day this, no?
Carry on.

HA HA HA
FIFA must not allow the appeal to be successful, otherwise what's the point? If you're found guilty in the first place and you've been warned about it before, then where is the room for accepting an apology and softening the blow?
Looks like Frank has been busy.
All clubs are guilty of forcing the issue. This reeks of Chelsea arrogance in thinking they can not just bend the rules, but ignore them altogether. Glad they got caught out. Glad a club took a stand against them. Shame Platini is rubbing his hands because of it. Hate fucking Chelsea. The twats.
Its funny because it's Chelsea.
Same old Chelsea; always cheating!
did they not get caught doing this to Leeds??? Danny Rose was one of the boys Frank tried tempting with his bag of sweeties and the puppy in the back of the motor!!! will they never learn, we better get 'Arry to stop doing interviews with the press near a transfer window now!!!! COYS
Quite rightly this goes beyond using the media to say which payers 'you admire'.
The interesting thing is that this was awarded a tthe end of a transfer window, you wonder if they might have acquired a few more players had they suspected the nature and length of the ban on transfers (no new players at the Chavs until 2011 seem a long way off!). I guess we get to find out how good Frank was at getting talent into thier academy up until now.
And what about you lot and Ramos? And you lot and Delph? And Bostock?
Well?
If FIFA want to prove that they're trying to act on the 'tapping up' situation, then who better to go after than Real Madrid who seem to have been active in it for years, trying to unsettle players on a yearly basis.
Unfortunately though they wont do a damn thing cos Sepp Blatter seems to love Madrid, and hate England, why else would he keep trying to poke his nose into our every affair.
They should start hitting everyone guilty of it.
a great day for all shadenfreude fans. couldn't have happened to a nicer club. ha ha ha hahahahaha
Not sure FIFA or anyone can do much about tapping up via the media. It's part of the game. What Chelsea have done, from the looks of it, is get this kid to get out of his contract at Lens so they can sign him up. It's obviously a lot less subtle and far more obvious and illegal.
Kakuta is bloody worth any ban, what a talent. He'll be the best player in the Premiership for over ten years.
Really? That good?
He is really good, but you never know until he plays in the first team..
Bostock was out of contract - that's the difference! If you can explain how you 'induce someone to break their contractual agreements' when those agreements have terminated, then please tell me!
As for the punishment, it does seem harsh given that the courts would just award compensation - but it is against Chelski, so all is fair and all that!! Wait and see what happens on appeal - there is a long time til Jan for that to happen.
Really do not mind because it is Chelski, but why no action over Man Utd for making Berbatov go on strike even if Levy lacked the liathroidi (irish for balls) to complain they were still aware of it, then you have Madrid who can do anything it seems FIFA are a corrupt orgainisation who are egotistical bunch of tossers, anyhow, enough ranting still glad about Chelsea.
great news and it could not have happened to a more deserving club.
But on appeal the ban will be reduced to something like 7 minutes. That's what always happens. Same with Drogba and his pantomime villain act after the Barca defeat, where of course it was fine for Ballack to manhandle the ref. It's Chelsea and they can.
Might be worth mentioning that they are under a 3 point suspension due to the Arneson affair...
Will this be invoked if the Appeal proves, hopefully, unsuccessful ? Hmm....
Seems very strange to me when you consider the amount of tapping up that goes on anyway - didnt the winker sign a pre-contract agreement with madrid when he was under contract an Man Ure? Its funny now because Plantini and crew have slammed the goons and the chavs in the last 10 days or so but who next?
yes, no better club to hit this with than chelski. in the light of their owner coming out to try and cap man city's spending when he was the biggest culprit for throwing $ at anyone and everyone he wants before a richer arab came along. hypocrites getting their just desserts!!
It's funny 'cos it's Chelsea- but that puts an end to the Joe Cole rumours. I was hoping we might put in a cheeky bid in January but they won't be selling anyone, especially as half of their squad buggers off to the African Cup of Nations shortly after.
platini is uefa president, not fifa. he is the only hope football has got left. i can't feel sorry for chelsea. do u?
