Idiots

Dear Spurs fans,

Take that sense of entitlement and stick it up your a*se. Forget about the money spent at the door, you're meant to support the team above all else so how about behaving in a manner that’s becoming of Spurs rather than defaulting to a stereotype we have so many times in the past made fun of, aiming our laughter at opposing teams that knee-jerk. Okay, so the current transition is not very attractive and enthralling. Might take more than three games for us to find a flow. Are you missing the hedonistic days of Harry Redknapp’s title challenges? Has patience been completely drained from your consciousness? Easier to boo players wearing the shirt than it is to stand up and sing for them? Get this – WE ARE PLAYING AT HOME. It’s your team, back them and let them know, let the opposing side know and let their fans know.

We are Tottenham.

Or is the Roman Empire and you're the emperor, as you look on waiting to be entertained to give the thumbs up or down? Oh wait a minute, you’ve spent a few bob on your food, beer and programme so you’re allowed to heckle the millionaires out on the pitch. Oh how simplistic it all is in your bubble. You might be present at the game but you may as well be sitting in an armchair and how dare Tottenham Hotspur not entertain you for every single second you witness. It’s football it’s not pantomime. You lot are deserving of one thing. Mid-table. Then perhaps you can f*ck off and not drag down the atmosphere to your miserable level, you glory glory-hunters. At this rate, we might even get it. Boo some more.

You remember the back end of last season? That forgotten form that the media do love to dismiss which cost us dearly? Ask Harry Redknapp, I'm sure he'll mention it on Match of the Day this evening. Take that into account and mix it up with new signings and a new coach. Do you want me to draw you a picture? Nah, of course not. We're winning now, you're too busy singing and covering yourselves with validation. Don't tell me booing is emotional. It's lazy. Oh hold up, you're booing again. Not winning any more? Did the other lot score?

You have the right to be critical, frustrated, disappointed. You're welcome to your opinions to lay blame on those you believe deserve it, although quite how you wish to be petulant with your patience is beyond me but then I remember the 90's like they were yesterday so perhaps my skin is thicker. It's not about blind faith, it's about retaining some sense of balance to the argument. Be angry if you wish, but be a Spurs fans when you're watching your team. We are as despondent in display in the stands as some of the players out on the pitch at the moment. Perhaps the players should share the love and start booing us.

We've not even had any truly tangible success, just solid progression. God only knows what kind of expectations we'll have if we did start winning season in, season out.

Yours sincerely,

The rest of us.

Fuck off you utter knob end. Of course, how dare we question the millionairres out on the pitch. We should bow down to them because they are better than us. We are shit. We have gone backwards and fuck you and the lot of them if you are too spineless to accept deserving criticism. Knob rash prick.

AVB is a disgrace and this unhealthy obsession some Spurs fans and Levy seems to have with continental managers has taken us back to the Cristain Gross era! AVB earns no one's respect, give's no one any confidence and is as tactically astute as my bell end.

What is there there to say when he can't see the obvious:-

In games like these:-

We need Dawson at the back who is going to man handle a front man like Norwich had, not get man handled like Gallas did all afternoon.

Why play two holding players in Livermore and Sandro when there's no-one capable of creating in the middle of the park, now that VDV & Modric have been sold.

Why play Defoe upfront on his own?

What's the point of Sigurdson playing in support of Defoe when he doesn't support?

Why doesn't the manager discipline the wingers and ask them to actually provide supply lines to the striker.

Bale in particular has been really poor! Ive had enough of AVB, get him out and bring in Laudrop!

Sep 1, 2012 at 8:00 PM | Unregistered CommenterRay

Maybe AVB should get to play his way but if we don't have the players to do that ie defoe as a lone striker that doesn't work as he simply can't play that role, persistanting with that and hoping it will for the sake of avbs system is a joke. Avb needs to realise what players play where and build a system around what players we have not take a system and try and fit players that don't work in that way into a system. I did not want avb, I did not want to keep redknapp either. Levy has taken a massive gamble with avb. Also levy sold luka and vdv without replacements. He leaves things too late. Its funny how we nearly get these players time and time again. We never addressed the striker situation. We have one striker that isn't prolific and hit an miss who can play a lone striker role in ade and defoe who is a sub at best. We have needed a striker for 5 years now. And are much weaker in that position this season than last. We probably have one of the weakest strike forces in the premier league now. If we can't sign the moutinhos and llorentes fine, go after the jelavic's, cisse's and isco's of the world! But don't take us fans for a ride! The team is unbalanced. Lacks creativity and a proven goalscorer. Avbs tactics were wrong infact they were a shamble. It seems we replaced one tactically enept manager with another! Look at Laudrup at Swansea? Could of had him as well as many other great managers but again levy has a mental block and appoints a gamble that so far isn't paying off.

i remember nearly getting into fights in the upper paxton when i confronted booers during the Gross / man in the raincoats times... you. just. dont. boo. i cant count the amount of times i've seen the team turn things around when they've got a bit of support behind em.... get behind the team FFS or fuck off to the effeminates....

I am against booing and believe it is counter productive at least short-term. However I am totally against people telling people what to think and do within what are social norms at a football ground. So Spooky what will it take for AVB to realise that two holding midfielders is a bad idea against a shit team at home?

Sep 1, 2012 at 8:08 PM | Unregistered CommenterDD

Today the visitors lost two points after missing so many chances.
Don't know much about AVB, but judging from what I've seen so far he's an average manager who seems to be scared of whoever we are playing against.
This year lateral and back passes were played too often for my liking, which I think caused crappy flow of the game. Excitement wise, current team's game is as different to last year's as day and night.
Booing…. Are there reasons for cheering?
The intent of booing is to entice positive changes, and usually such changes sooner or later occur.
Could the reason for booing be HR, because he's the most responsible for setting Spurs high standards for 3 years in row? Or was that just a fluke and pure luck of the man?
Idiot Levy should bring HR back and leave the Spurs.
.

If it wasn't for the fact that when Redknapp first took over, he turned us around in no time without a pre-season or players that he had bought, then maybe "give him time" would be a fair enough assessment, but as I've always suspected - you've either got it or you haven't,
That first half alone required rockets up arses and you could always count on Arry getting them out massively improved in the 2nd half even if we still didn't manage a win. No sign of that essential ingredient today.
There again, Arry knew the Premiership inside out, whereas AVB just doesn't know it that well yet and despite seeing a such an inept performance on par with the rubbish of the pre-Jol era, he will need time - the fear is, this could be "as good as it gets".

Sep 1, 2012 at 8:19 PM | Unregistered Commenterjuxta

Did anyone else notice Gallas was complete balls (again!) today? What on earth does ABV see in him?

Sep 1, 2012 at 8:24 PM | Unregistered CommenterBozdogg

I have been shocked with the atmos at spurs for the last year . We dont sing unless we are winning . I try to get the fans near me to sing and back the team. They look at me as if I'm mad. I remember when under jol we backed our team even When loosing. I may have to give up my ticket because I can't take the crowd anymore. Bad football I remember well but bad fans is a step to far. Come on let's back our team.

Sep 1, 2012 at 8:29 PM | Unregistered CommenterPdf

Stop being so melodramatic. The team was shit, as were the players, the manager and by some accounts the fans too.

Lets all agree to play nicely, sing and roar Jenas on when he is brought on to tighten the game up.

Sep 1, 2012 at 8:40 PM | Unregistered CommenterDD

Bit different though lifting a team from the dumps than taking over a side that hasn't got a sustainable edge. Redknapp was great in a crisis but unable to fix his own mess.

Sep 1, 2012 at 8:41 PM | Registered Commenterspooky

The chairman had a shocker in the transfer market, the managers tactics/team selections are cringeworthy and the players showed a complete lack of interest or desire.

The fans should boo. Not sure why this has caused such a little paddy fit, I dont know why they shouldnt get a kick up the arse from the stands - they didnt deserve anything more.

Sep 1, 2012 at 8:44 PM | Unregistered Commenterouji

Spooks, apols if I pigeon holed you. Not my intention. Levy is a dick. He never buys top level because he will not ask ENIC to underwrite a single penny of spend. He and ENIC have to go now.

We are a football club. We are home to England's best footballing tradition. Levy could care less.

Again, we are a football club. If Levy wants to run a £150M business then he should fuck off and find one but stop treating our club that has a £150M turnover like a £150M business.

Out.

Sep 1, 2012 at 8:46 PM | Unregistered CommenterKnock Knock Spurs

A couple of things about the game today. Norwich and WBA really did a Chelsea in WHL and had most of the time 8 man standing tight in the back. The question is, why does it look so difficult for Spurs in the moment to take them on?
The starting formation was wrong (no place for Livermore and Sandro together and Sigi hasnt found his place so far).
Defoe as a lone striker wont be able to do much against small teams parking the bus at WHL.
Then, there was lack of movement from the players, which makes defending easier.
Bale and Defoe trying to score from any distance.

Things considerably changed when Dembele and Ade came in. Why didnt you put Adebayor from the start? The first 30 minutes of the second half and the good performance by Dembele give me some hope though.

Then, Huddlestone was a waste of space. Didnt clear the ball proper, Norwich scored and then a red card. Well done mate!

I have hope on the signings though. Dembele is going to be a threat and he showed it in 20 minutes, Dempsey has the never give up attitude and Lloris could be one of the best in the Prem, if he settles.

For now, its work in progress and putting pressure on wont help much. The only thing I want to see is AVB learning from mistakes and the players trying to play more togehter! If AVB doesnt build on last season and wants to reinvent the wheel in a couple of weeks, he is a bit of a lunatic. I wouldnt be worried if he hadnt done the mistake of forcing some tactics on the wrong players at Chelsea. I hope he gets the point.

Sep 1, 2012 at 8:52 PM | Unregistered CommenterFab

Spot on. It's not so much the booing. It's the complete lack of atmosphere and support throughout the game unless we're playing one of the big teams. This isn't necessarily about booing the players, it's about the match experience itself. These people are killing it. Do you know what? Boo if you like, but do it after you've spent 90 minutes cheering on the team. Then, if they've not lived up to your own very good standards of support, they might deserve to know they've not matched it. Today the supporters were just as shit as the players, so who the fuck are they to boo them off the pitch. Hang your heads in shame.

And yes, I was there. And I was singing. Because I love the fucking shirt

Sep 1, 2012 at 8:57 PM | Unregistered Commenterjimmyriggle

I wouldn't normally boo, but I'm not going to sit back and quietly watch my club go to the dogs. We didn't have a clue today. No leadership, poor team selection, confusion on our attacking set pieces, no movement, no understanding. Then we shift to 4-4-2 and see an immediate improvement, only for AVB to choose to sit back and protect the lead - AGAINST NORWICH!!! The guy is a liability - it's like Ramos all over again. Boooooo

Sep 1, 2012 at 8:58 PM | Unregistered CommenterDukey76

It's obvious that AVB wanted a 'Joao Moutinho' type player in this 'transfer window' in order for his system to work. Perhaps the International Window will give him a chance to 'bed in Loiris, Dembele and Dempsy and I think that Loiris and Dembele are very capable of that. If, because we failed to land Joao Moutinho, his preferred system is not going to work, then I would expect him to change the system to one that will win games. Spooky, you seem to think that avoiding relegation this season and allowing AVB time to blend the club and players to his system will suffice, I don't. I believe he should be given a fair chance, but not at the expense of loosing our best players and leaving us with a team that (in no way resembles last season's team). This man is not God, okay he deserves a chance, but Chris Hughton isn't get forever to get Norwich playing and surviving in the prem, if they look vulnerable at Christmas his ass will be on the line. AVB should be no different. This is a pressure cooker business. Results are necessary and (unless 'the rest of you know something I don't) Daniel Levy wants Champions League Football at Tottenham straight away. Well he surely wont get it with the way we played today and I don't get any comfort from AVB's BBC interview. Was like a rabbit in the headlights. He doesn't have time to fail in his first season and Hughton had a bunch of mediocre players gelling much better in the same length of time as AVB has had. He needs to prove himself quickly. This is not a bloody crèche he's working in.

I am full of trepidation as things are at the moment but we have Levy and he has employed AVB so although the team is not firing at the moment we have to get behind them and give them our encouragement not slag them off. Don't you think they know how poorly they are playing at the moment. Don't expect AVB to come out and say as much in public but he will let them know and hopefully everyone will work harder to get things right.
Let's see how things are in a couple of months before, if things haven't changed, thinking about letting everyone at the club know what you feel.
Think old blabbermouth is on MOTD so I wonder what comments will be made this evening. Be full of himself as usual I expect.

Booing is just wrong. Got to give the new gaffer a run for sure. However on today's performance I reckon I could have done a better job with tactics, substitutions and motivation. (And I'm off my tits most of the time). Feels like Levy has seen greener grass again but let us pray we dont have another Ramos on our hands.

Sep 1, 2012 at 9:11 PM | Unregistered CommenterBig Fish

So far missing that old midfield ticking of Modric and Parker. I'm still not sure about Livermore and Sandro (glimpses of being top players, but that's not enough), and the cover for the defense is inadequate. Bale is not the player he was a couple of seasons back (been found out? ...or just not allowed to express himself?). Lennon's crossing still doesn't match his speed and trickery. Siggy still to look like a fitter and more expansive replacement for VDV. OK, we've got good central defenders, but we're getting worried about Gallas's speed not matching his excellent brain. Dembele's going to be a class act for us, but we really do need a Modders replacement! Hud...you've got to get rid of that silly haircut. What are you thinking of? You look like a hulk version of Dos Santos! Apart from that I hope AVB gives you time and games because I have a feeling that (if you can stay injury free) you could do the holding midfield job better than San, Livers or anyone. You are a class act ....START TO REALISE IT! Defoe ...you inconsistent little sod! Today you looked like you couldn't hit a barn door, but you still move well! Please justify your new contract! All in all, it was disjointed today ...and what is this thing that everytime we go a goal up in the second half we look like we want to just sit and defend the one goal??? Why can't we go for the throat as all top teams do, and make it two, three or more? Twice we have sat back and allowed two run of the mill teams to equalise late at home ...and what's more we could see it happening on both occasions! Oh dear ...it doesn't display confidence, especially when forwards are taken off and midfielders/defenders shunted on to protect (forlornly) a 1-0 lead! Still...on the bright side, maybe AVB's high pressing in midfield, and the swarming around to get the ball back when out of possession, will happen soon. It's early days and we DO have some fine players. Just get them to bloody GEL, and QUICK, before the top 4 slot is out of sight!

Sep 1, 2012 at 9:15 PM | Unregistered Commentergreavsie

Spurs fan for over 40 years .Harry and his team had little tactical nous and could never have delivered at the highest level for us so if we really are to achieve at the highest level we had to make a change .AVB was however a major a gamble given his previous EPL failure and I am beginning to fear that his success at Porto may have been an over-achievement because he inherited some exceptional players around him.

The starting X1 and system today was clearly wrong but I have no problem with his decision to try and shore up the midfield after we scored as we were clearly in danger of being overrun. The fact is the players who are paid huge money and most of whom have senior international honours were out run,out passed and out fought by Norwich who on paper have players who are considered to have much inferior skills but know they need to give everything and do so.Our team are generally paid huge amounts of money every week and many cannot even seem to deliver a simple pass or shot on target or a proper challenge and yet they are usually given a standing ovation when substituted-why?

Sep 1, 2012 at 9:25 PM | Unregistered Commentergaryo

What i don't understand is it wasn't broke last season so why did we need to fix it? The team finished 4th so why the need for a new manager? Why wasn't Arry given access to the players AVB is being given now? Im getting a horrible Ramos deja-vous. No way on this planet is this going to end in CL football. Carry on like this and mighty spurs will be the whipping boys for every tinpot outfit in the premiership. We had 3 memorable years and then Levy commits suicide.

Sep 1, 2012 at 9:28 PM | Unregistered CommenterI.Love.Spuds

I normally agree with most things you write spooky but today i dissagree. Todays booing in my opinion has grown from frustration of the way the club has been run this last year and maybe beyond. The fans have a right to voice their opinion. The players, manager and chairman are impossible to get to these days so the match is the fans forum. The fans pay good money to make the whole thing possible and have a right to voice their opinion in a legal way. Not everyone wanted Harry to go so those who didnt wont be happy with seeing what they have so far. Most who wanted Harry felt out he was holding us back with tatics, transfer policy etc but Levy has shown that he is just as dissapointing and frustrating in the transfer window. Our 2 most creative players have left and we finsihed the transfer window having (roughly) broken even. What backing is that for the new manager??. If you want to challenge the best (which i hope is why we all support Spurs) you need to give it a real go. We didnt even sign the player he really wanted after recieving 30M for Modders. AVB needed to start the season with a bang to get the doubters to belive. That hasnt happened. He needs time, but i get the feeling this isnt gonna work, especially after Levy's penny pinching.

Was there today and I have to be honest, when the final whistle went I shouted a serious expletive at the team that I dont usually use....However it was the only way I could voice my opinion on what was the poorest performance Ive seen since Ramos days.

Guys, it was truely awful...no width, no pace, no urgency, a lacklusture and lightweight midfield and, with the sale of VDV and Modric (little choice with him), no replacement and so, NO creativity!

Sandro and (especially) Livermore do not work together, especially at home...to NORWICH.

Defoe on his own dont work.

Gallas can NOT be worse than Dawson

Benny was off his head today...strange performance.

Brad F kept us in the game...v NORWICH

AVB changes to 4-4-2 and we take the game to NORWICH, score the goal but instead of going on from there, we go BACK to 4-5-1 and come unstuck...AGAIN. That sub after the goal, Defoe off and Tommy (harsh red) on, was the final straw for me...that did me that sub.

Im angry but I just cant see Im wrong in what Ive just written...it was there for all to see!

Have supported Tottenham since the promotion of 77/78. In all those years of ups and downs and cursing my older brother for not supporting Man utd, I have never booed the team, and I never will. Whole new set up at the club now. Can't have so many changes in such a short time and expect to hit the ground running.
I know it's a cliche, but, when Ferguson took over at utd, he was for the first three years, one game away from getting the sack.
Have patience and get behind the the manager and the team. COYS.

‎..not sure..disappointed for sure as we have not yet played a 'perceived ranking team, dropping valuable points. My beef is why chase a goalie when you procrastinated over selling your playmaker and not replaced him with a playmaker, was al
ways going to be the same price for a decent one especially at the last minute and that is most deffo what spurs are missing at the mo to bring everyone else in to play, make a few million at the end of the xfer season to , lose quite a few million more at the end of the season!! throw in the mix the apparently clueless AVB, (who appears not to know the individual players merits and faults), demonstrated by his team selection and subs today an unsettled team with last minute additions and deletions makes a mockery of pre season prep, (so he has had one hand tied behind his back), so AVB jury currently out, but Levy intelligent, think his ego gets in the way of that, thought he would have learnt the lessons from last time, as is not as if we have not been here before...but think we have blown it with the lost points at this end already coupled with no Modric like for like replacement...

Ridiculous comment.

"i hear you man but it hurts pain can make you do and say silly things" @spurian

Yep, that is the truth as well.

The fact of the matter is that, as supporters, we are in the belief game. Our belief not only matters but it is a vital ingredient of success on the pitch. If you want to demoralise a team, a squad, a re-build and your club then boo and walk out early but don't then come here and say that you bleed for Spurs. You bleed by staying fast, sticking tight and recognising that you actually matter because you can impact on the team performance and its own self belief.

Let's not tear ourselves apart.

I'm fed up with all the negativity about AVB, we all knew Harry had to go, big mouth, we crumbled two seasons in a row, no rotation, signing old has been players, yes he did get us goos positions in the league and in time you have to believe the AVB will get it right. We have a stronger more balanced squad, not as much depth as before but more flexibility. This season has to be a transition year due to everything that has changed. Ask yourself one question, if AVB had just come to us straight from Porto after winning to treble would you be calling for his head? No! Give the guy a chance.

I think if fans pay their hard earned money on a ticket and the MAJORITY believe it is right to boo the teams performance surely that is footballng democracy?

Every spurs supporter is intitled to their own views

I think that the squad has been getting weaker over the last two years look at the amount of players we have sold compared to bringing in plus the players we have signed are not near the level of most of the ones that have left.

AVB will not be a success at spurs and will be gone within 2 years easy

Why is Livermore even in the team squad player at best

Spurs supporter for 28yrs

THANK-YOU SPOOKY!!!!! After the window closed one could hear the rattle of doom cause Moutinho had not made it ..people claiming that Levy was only interested in saving money. Since when has new stadiums come free with 2 packets of fags!!
I can't watch or hear the games due to bandwidth problems so at the moment I am relying on Twitter etc. so I was shocked to see the tweets about spurs fans booing!!! Yesterday VDV tweeted that spurs fans were the best and I was welling up with joy, I don't know the exact reason behind him making that remark maybe he got thousands of well wishing tweets for him and his family. only a few days before the other lot showed their lack of class by sending RVP hundreds of vile tweets, this to a player who singled handedly got them into the Champions league.

I have supported the lillywhites since the fifties, was at the lane for BILL NICKS fist game as manager ( Anyone who doesn't know the score hard luck.) I couldn't believe it when he left.

Redknapp was never going to bring us success, he didn't even know the meaning of us! AVB has a very difficult job and the players have to learn to play intelligently, maybe they will not be able to, maybe British players are not capableof intelligence, I do not believe it but if that turns out to be the case then the boos will be well suited to the players and the sooner they all go and play for / support their dream club the better. I like many others supported spurs when we were relegated I will support them till at least I die whether they are in the Barclays prem or the Blue Sq. Prem. IT's in the blood and despite everything that has happened to my club it always will be even if those who boo turn up till their or their friends season tickets are torn up in disgust. #COYS #TTID #IFYACANTSINGSITDOWNANDSULK

Well said spooks. To the rest - even if you think Levy screwed things up, Redknapp was the messiah etc, how does booing the team help us NOW. It doesn't, it hinders, it puts pressure on the manager and on the players that really they do not deserve at this point. Be a fucking supporter.

No coach has support from all the fans, not even AVB, some will like him on sight; others will hate him, just as it was for all coaches before him. I think he will in fact succeed with us, but fans should know that games like this may well happen again because he needs time to learn all about the players he has. But soon, I'm hoping he will start getting it right. At least we are not losing so much; we can learn from these last two draws and take lessons forward.
If you are at the game and not liking what you're watching, please just keep quiet, that’s another option. You can just cheer when we're scoring, if that’s the kind of fan you are, no one will complain.

And yes, spooky you are an AVB apologist. How do you explain this post?

"http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19453106 <-- straight up assessment. No soundbiting."

Seriously? We are all worried about how the team is playing and you are taking a dig at Harry, pointing out AVB "no soundbiting." That's sad. I always wanted to ask you, why do you hate Harry so much? It couldn't be just the interviews!!!?? You said he left the team a mess ("...unable to fix his own mess.")? How so? We dropped from an almost certain third to finish 4th in the PL. That's
a "mess"????? Really??? But at least he was right that some fans are "idiots" with expectations set too high?

Most of all, I couldn't believe a previous post where you tried to blame Harry for our transfer targets not coming in, saying that if he had done better last season, players would be more pleased to come to Spurs this summer. Fair enough, but what if Harry had made the same excuse and blamed Ramos's poor performance as a reason that prevented great players from coming to SPurs when he took over and we were in relegation places? How silly that would have been. He didn't. He still was able to get the strikers and goals we needed to cover for losing Berbatov that season. Why couldn't AVB attract Moutinho, a former player of his? Look how Redknapp's players follow him around just like Mourinho's ex-players call him Daddy and go where he wants!!! (LOL at Michael Essien). Like it or not, it's a sign of a good coach.

AVB is a good manager, but he IS not better tactically than Harry Redknapp. However, he has the POTENTIAL to be better than Harry. So let’s stick with the plan and support him, it will work out. Levy's preferred style has always been to go with potential whenever possible with players, so it's understandable that he would pick a manager the same way.

OK can someone tell me which players that we lost in the summer would have stayed if Harry was stll here, the first ones to go went because of Harry.

So it seems to me that this season would have been for rebuilding regardless of the Harry situation, this is not some AVB/Levy destruction of a team for no good reason that seems to be the mindset behind some of the booing. If Harry had stayed Ledley's knee would have magically healed, Real would have bought Moutinho and Sylvie would have got a job at ITV and everyone would be happy. Oh and Adebayour would have sorted out his contract problems much quicker knowing Harry was here, yeah right.

Would Harry have rebuilt by bringing in young players full of potential like Siggy and Dembele, or would he have gone down the tried and trusted route and brought in Essien and Michael Owen, of course he would have "tried to get" Falcao and Hazzard but would just have ended up kicking the can further down the road meaning an even more massive rebuilding at some stage in the future.

Of course, having decided to replace Harry it didn't have to be AVB, would another manager have picked the same players? Played the same formation? Made the same substitutions? Probably not exactly the same. Would it have changed the result? That's harder to say, I think we still look very much like the team that finished last season so I don't understand why this season they are getting so much more criticism.

Booing the team is counterproductive, I have rarely seen a team perform better because of being booed, I have often seen teams perform better with good support. The moment I have the best memories of was the 1984 EUFA cup final, Danny Thomas missed the penalty that would have won us the match, and what was the response - the whole stadium was singing "One Danny Thomas, there's only one Danny Thomas" and of course Tony Parkes saved the next penalty and we won it anyway.

And as for AVB, I have a good feeling about him. He looks like a Tottenham manager and I really hope that he is given time.

I don't mind the way people express their feeling at the game regardless if they started supporting Spurs today or from the time Jesus walked the earth. Most of you now so "outraged" because of today's booing, just a few months ago threw all the shit one can imagine at HR for saying that some fans are idiots. Can't have it both ways, can you?

Also, fact is that some managers (i.e. HR) and players (i.s. Dembele, Parker, VDV, Modders at RM) hit the ground running, and some need unspecified “time to adjust” (i.e. AVB, Sig, Vert, Bentley). As for Levy, only an idiot can (solely because of his ego) recklessly and irresponsibly fuck up the entire team.
