Congrats

Congrats to CFC. You'll always have the memory of Bayern's shocking finishing and a massive racist with pulled up socks lifting the cup.

What hurts more, not qualifying or them being the 1st London club to win the UCL? Don't know, still, one more and chelsea will be as great a club as Notts forest

Time for a deep breath, count to ten (or a thousand).
I don't think the manager should be sacked, but that opinion may well change after the next press conference: if I hear him say we've got no right to expect to finish in the top 4 I'll put my boot through the TV.
Both manager and chairman should be ashamed of their handling of the 'Harry for England' fiasco. Levy didn't trust him with the club's money because he seemed determined to leave, but inexplicably let senior players leave the club in January.
The harsh reality is this- we will not finish in the top 4 next year. With our budget we have to rely on somebody else slipping up. We took advantage of Liverpool's demise a couple of seasons ago, we should have taken advantage of Arsenal and Chelsea this season. That door has just been firmly slammed shut in our face.
Time for Modric to go. Get a big fee, spend it all on new recruits. Getting rid of the manager at the same time could put us in a tail spin. Let Harry have this season to oversee a squad overhaul and to keep the senior players happy, but don't give him a new contract. The onus is now on the chairman to be bold and ambitious in the transfer market instead of sniffing round the bins on deadline day.

No,No.No Modric or any other of our top players should NOT be allowed to leave, - Period !
We got to shift the deadwood and in anycase there is plenty of funds to bring in 3-4 top players and this way ensure that Bale, Modric, ect, feel that we intend to make a strong statement, - over and above this, we must give Harry a new contract, - he is the man to lead us to Glory and we fans need to get behind him by all means. I sincerely feels that if Levy sack Harry now, - we will see a excodus of our finest !

As an Arsenal fan I can honestly say I'm suffering for you guys, never thought that was possible but you didn't deserve this. Chelski had the longest luck streak in footballing history and you were on the wrong end of it

All of this reaction, all of the knee jerk calls to sack Rednapp and Levy are coming from a game we didn't even play in.

Would you be happy if Messi or Robben had scored their Penalties? Would things be ok if one of Adeybayors wrongly disallowed goals had counted? Would the reaction be different if Ben Foster played the last game of the season instead of calamity Fulop? The Answer is probably yes because it would mean we would be competing in the champions league next year. None of the above had anything to do with Daniel or Harry, so why get rid of them? We've played the best football this season that I've seen from a spurs team In my lifetime.

There is a fine line between glory and failure and we were on the wrong side of that line. Don't blame two of the people who got us so close!! Spurs are on the way to being a big team, you can tell that by all the relieved Gooners making the effort to come onto a spurs website to slate us. Fans of the invincables would never have done that, they weren't bothered, the gap was too big. So I'll say it again, MIND THE GAP, we are getting close!

Keep the faith!! Keep Harry.

I have heard it all. I have read it all.Referees high on drugs, linesmen stalking the touch line in dark glasses carrying white sticks. Fulops clangers, missed penalties in Munich. Young players loaned out, pensioners brought in etc. etc. etc. The wheels fell off at WHL and what did HR do about it?

Harry got us 4th position in three successive seasons, never been done by any other Spurs Manager in the history of Premier Leauge and he did it with emtertaining attacking football, he is much loved by all our players and most of our fans worlwide, - Yes we all love to win every game and win every competition and believe you me, - we are so very close. We now need to keep our best players and bring in 3-4 worlclass additions and we will find that Glory is just around the corner for our beloved Spurs!

There's a few of you guys on here that want to suck Harry the Crooks balls that should go to your fucking beds, or have another drink. Harry Redknapp is a traitor and a crook. He hasn't got enough entegrity to manage Tottenham Hotspur. He is doing the job that honest knowledgable managers such as Bill Nick and Keith Burkinshaw did. He should'nt be in that position. Get him out of our club. By his own admission he cannot count and nowhere was that so obvious as during the Aston Villa game. He's a 'Del Boy' and Levy MUST sack him immediately.

May 20, 2012 at 8:30 AM | Unregistered Commenterjamieboy

Ultimately, who really deserved that final spot - chelsea battling away like men, underdogs for the last 3 cl ties at least and coming through them all - with a caretaker manager, or us, with the chance to make 3rd ours to lose against Villa (the poorest side i've seen this year), but limping to a lame draw. Levy should have given Harry an ultimatum as soon as that England situation came up - pledge yourself to your club (like Pardew did for Newcastle) or tell him he's out. He didn't and here we are. We needed a statement of intent signing or two in Jan to keep up the momentum - instead we got two loan journeymen. Cahill was available forever and we sat on our hands - look at him now - fantastic player. A neutral mate of mine said losing is just in the DNA of our club, this season seems to have proved that more than any before it.

Cookiebun, - you are of course in the right to have your own opinion about Harry.
I am old enough to have watched Spurs play under our most valued Managers Nicks & BShaw, - fantastic Managers ! I do however feel that after the above mentioned, with perhaps Venabeles and Pleaty given credit as well, that Harry has been our most successful Manager, - The attacking football he has introduced is in complete complience with The Spurs way of playing and I truly believe that an extention of Harrys contract will get us The Glory you and I, as well as all Spursfans worldwide are longing for!

So we are all agreed Levy is th eproblem then, but it might not be as bad as all that. I think Harry has something to prove mext year and the Ego Levy will now have to invest. Let's be honest.Even if we qualified we don't invest so makes no difference.Maybe we can get Joe Cole from liverpool on a free and sell modric...Thats alevy deal all over...he pockets the cash. Maybe we will have to sell Modric to Utd and get Berbs and Carrick back. Im glad we didnt qualify, well done Chelsea. 4th place was a nonsense and Levy has been there 12 years and is ultimately to blame.!!

May 20, 2012 at 8:40 AM | Unregistered CommenterChris

Allan; It was you in particular I was referring to when I said the Harry lovers should go to bed. He's a conman who thinks he should dictatate how we should feel and what our ambition for our club should be. Daniel Levy has just built the best training facility available in the premier league. He has just got planning permission for a 56,000 stadium with the most modern of facilities. He has brought in and held on to world class players through thick and thin and has asked the manager to ensure CL football so that he can forward his vision for the club. Instead Harry has been to Court accused of laundering money and avoiding taxes, stated that Modric should join Chelsea when the Chairman (who bought him and put him into a long contract) said he was staying, said we should be grateful to be up there in the top half of the table instead of expecting CL football, year on year and finally takes his eye off the ball when we are STREETS ahead of Arsenal when his name was mooted with the England job and allowed us to go into freefall. Everything the Chairman wants from him amd pays him to do he fails to do. He doesn't even agree with the Chairman with the Media. He's a conman and hasn't won anything in the game. He's had 4 seasons at Tottenham and has managed to get us to a cup final and CL qualification once. He could do it if he focused on his job, but he's focused on himself only. He's not someone to be trusted with managing a multi-million pound football club and I sincerely hope the Chairman is fully aware of that now and relieves him of his duties forthwith. Now you go and lick his balls some more.

Ive just read a lot of the comments. We need to start a 'levy must go campaign' as it seems some of you get it. I know we all love spurs so lets not argue against eachother. The facts are the facts and Levy has been there 12 years and achieved little. We all remember when he should of onvested and the stadium and the way he negotiates is awful and we lose players, waste time building a new stadium. The guy is a super ego'd prick!! such a self inflated prick!! Loved to be last minute munch ball on tranfer window day and waive the latest cheap ass signing. Sold prick..the guy is CUNT. The arsenal stadium will be paid off before we start to build ours.12 years people...12 years!!! Presidents get a maximum of 8 years and for good reason. In Barcelona and Madrid they have elections every 2 years and it works!!! Let's star an online petition and get some momentum.HAHA..you remember a few years back..we spent 75m but sold 90m...no wonder Ramos had us 2nd bottom!!! Enough is enough. We either spend and start a new stadium or not.LEVY or someone that knows LEVY..tell him us SPURS fans think he is a spoilt little CUNT who plays at business rather than devilers it!! Seems the fans on this site can now be divided between those who wish to keep 'arry and those who do not. I think we
all knew, being Spurs fans, exactly what would happen last night and we were the ultimate losers. But to those who say we
should be proud to finish 4 th twice in the last 3 seasons, shows that they are like our manager- have no ambition. And settling for 4th-
as 'arry surely did against villa, has backfired on a grand scale, simply because we never 'believed' chelsea could beat Barca and
Bayern-but they (chelsea) did BELIEVE and that is the key word in all this. 'arry never allowed the Spurs players to believe in the dream, that for example they were title contenders and his predictions as to where Spurs should be aiming, changed week in and week out. Must be confusing if you are in the dressing room. So I say, after 3 years, time for a change and that is no knee
jerk reaction, since our managers limitations have been (cruelly?) exposed. But it has been a heck of a season...........

May 20, 2012 at 8:58 AM | Unregistered Commenter4Mullery

And I just want to add, that irony of all ironies perhaps, chelsea equalised through their only corner of the game I believe and so when are the Spurs players going to understand that corners and free kicks are goal scoring opportunities and just how many did we waste last season? That could have been the difference..........

May 20, 2012 at 9:06 AM | Unregistered Commenter4Mullery

This has been the best Spurs squad in years. Probably since the double, 50 years ago. To fritter away a 10 point lead in a month was a sign that someone did not know what was going on around them. The results were awful. Home draws to Stoke and Wolves, a loss to Norwich. Blackburn 2-0, Brad Friedel could have stayed in bed and we would still have won that one. The final straw was the 1-1 with Villa. Where was the second striker when we needed a win? Ask HR, he takes the plaudits when we win so why should he not explain the Villa result. I know people say that HR has achieved two 4th places, but that is all he will ever achieve. Any PL manager could have done that with the current squad. HR lost the plot at Villa. This was our last chance to overtake into 3rd. place and HE blew it. As far as I am concerned he always seems to play it safe. Substitutions come too late to be effective. If HR had, in their prime, Mathews, Finney, Pele, Beckenbauer etc. we would still finish 4th. He is not a top flight manager. Get rid of him.

I agree with you one hundred percent regarding your comments as far as Mr Levy is concerned, - he surely is doing great things in regard of the future of our beloved Club ! Writing was on the wall very early last night. If we can't beat a crap team like villa then we only have ourselves to blame. If bale and modric want to go,or anyone else for that matter then let them off for a ridiculous high price-first and foremost we must have players 100% committed to the cause. Sad to think as soon as we were being talked up for the title before the wolves game that the wheels came off in spectacular fashion. The only consolation next season is that we get to right our wrongs while missing out on what we wanted.put the kids out for the Europa games and invest whatever we get from those that want to walk

Let's face it when Hairy Redmat says "we should be proud of achieving 4th spot", he 's not praising the efforts of his players. He's really saying "look how great I am, to have elevated this band of losers to a position that they wouldn't otherwise deserve". As the England manager saga proved, Hairy is an egotist, who cares for nothing outside of his own little world.

Well said Billyboy. Not quite your age, my first game at WHL was in 1948. Danny Blanchflower said "It's all about Glory". HR. reminds me of Neville Chamberlain and his "Peace in our time" statement. Someone in the Parliament, (I don't know who) said that the statement amounted to "retreat with boasting". Remind you of anyone? HR would make a good politician. I think he could give those slippery eels a few lessons in mendacity. To all of the Levy haters, there is one thing he does do well. He balances the books to ensure that we will be there next season to fight another day. No chance of us doing a Leeds.

12 points ahead and we blew it. 2 more points and we would be 3rd. Redknap is a total failure, a clueless twitching twat who waits for his luck to change to get out of a slump rather than using a strategy. Another season of Redknap telling us he cant understand how we didnt win, im afraid I cant take. Watching his clueless face when we enter the now inevitable downturn is more than I can bare. You are all where I was 2 years ago when you were all getting carried away with AC Milan, Inter Milan. Nobody saw the importance of a top 4 position. Now everybody understands it, but it's too late now. What I feared 2 years ago is about to happen. This has
Put us back at least 5 years, probably more in financial terms.

We needed 4 years on continuous CL to establish ourselves, keep our best players and enter the big league. One season in, one season out wil never work, as players will not stay when you have hungry sharks hovering in the back. We could not achieve this and we will now pay the price. Levy was not big enough to see this. The big managerial decisions made on the pitch and in the board room were very poor. When I say big players, big teams for the big occasion, this also goes for the board room. Directors, MDs, CEOs get fired for poor results, poor decisions. It should be no different at this club!! Small time investment has cost us big time money!

What is Jo Lewis thinking, where is he, why is he not as loud or visible as the Arse, United, City owners. Where is he, why is he not making his presence felt, show you love this club - or does he really care. Is it just an investment that brings in 20 million profit a year!! If this is the cad, sell the club to someone who cares and will invest and wants the glory. You my friend do not want the glory, you don't understand it, you do not crave for it in the way that we do, in the way that we spend our £1500 on season tickets and more on shirts, etc.

Look beyond the 2 bit chepo manager we have, look beyond the puppet Levy and see where the real problem is!!

what i dont understand is that some spurs fans still want to keep redknapp, after the "england farse". he did not distance himself from the england job as pardew. and there has been mentions in the media that chelsea are after him, and he comes out and say how mutch abramovitch loves fotball!!! he is craizy about fotball. he said he understanded that modric wanted to move to chelsea, "they compete and win medals, so i understand he wants to go" and that after levy has said no in the media. redknapp does what is best for him. since he has been mentioned as a posible chelsea manager, have any of you "arry lovers" hears him said he dont want that job?? no, because if chelsea comes calling, he will be out the door faster than we can spell chelsea!!!! but if chelsea is coming for him than abramovich is an idiot. oh, and pardew did almost the same in one season, that redknapp has in 3, they did come 5. so i dont feel that redknapp has done so well that he should get a new contract, since he did not come out and say he wanted a new one, BEFORE england picked roy. dont blame levy for harrys short-commings as a manager. blame levy for not sacking him in after 6 looses. chelsea did, and it paid off. we keept the mug, and it did not pay off. redknapp OUT!!!

Lamp are is behind the Arry - Chelsea link. Arry has discussed this and has told Lamps that Spurs fans don't know how good they have it!!

If Arry does not stop thus rumour within the next 24 hours, then he should be fired on the spot.

If Levy does not shut Arrys big mouth, then Levy should go as well.

I have never come across two muppets of this nature in my life.

How on earth can levy functions with an arsehole like Arry undermining everything he tries to do. levy is on a plane to Ajax today to try and close the deal, a deal he should have had done and dusted a week ago, but his two bit second car hand sales man approach on a few million here and there has allowed Arse into the game, and whilst he is in Holland, he has Arry fucking up again in the UK.

I'm sorry, but the club I love has become a joke from a managerial prospective, it really has!! I don't know of any club that operates in this farcical way!!

May 20, 2012 at 10:14 AM | Unregistered CommenterHotspurs

Redknapp hopefully will go to Chelsea and normal service will be resumed with Chelsea finishing outside the top 4. Who cares if modric and bale goes. Modric has been missing for the last 5 months and bale thinks he is Carlos already. Get 70-80m and let levy buy the players.

Loads of players out of contract and a lot of teams in financial trouble. Spurs are in a much better position than Chelsea in terms of team and age.

Drogba, kalou, boswinga all out of contract. That's 45m wasted. Terry, lampard, cole all getting old.

Hopefully Harry will go to Chelsea and spurs will continue to finish above Chelsea.

You also got the fair play league coming in a few years time, so now roman has won his cup he wants, he could easily leave.

right now our only way to keep our star players, and get in quality players is a high profile manager. van gaal, laudrup, and so on. so that players want to come play for that manager, regardless of CL. dont see arry as that manager. but lots of blackburn, bolton, ect players. and utds and other of the top rejeckts, like ferdinand, carrick, joe cole, and so on if we keep arry. just my opinion.

Since the last summer saga we have signed a 40 year old gk, a 30+ from the championship, a loan striker, a free 30+ defender who hadnt played for a year for a side who got relegated and a 30+ striker who never played and rarely scored for a mid table team. Your sounding like a Liverpool fan mate, since levy came to the we've got no dept, new training ground, new stadium coming, best squad and most valuable we've ever had ,finished 3 years in a row above both scouse sides ( I'm old enought to know what that means) and with chelski dirty money and man city's oil WTF do you want, there really ain't a great deal any team can wish for at the moment all you can do is keep the faith and hope but at least with levy that hope is real
