Triffic against traffic cones but sweet FA for 'arry

Spurs 2 Blackburn 0

We got everything right without really hitting full pelt. Selection, tactics and tempo. Players looked brighter and more hungry for it, the football flowed and had the final ball been a notch better we'd have been comfortably out of sight long before we scored a second. Blackburn Rovers turned up. In the stands. On the pitch, fairly non-existent. They just set themselves up to contain but hardly managed to do so convincingly. We utterly dominated from start to finish (something ridiculous like 71% possession). We had 17 (or 19) shots they had nothing. Not even a shot off target. It was a akin to training match against traffic cones that had wheels attached to them and someone on the touch-line was remote controlling them really badly to force our players to run a little more energetically towards goal.

Sandro was sick. Literally and in terms of class. Beastly in effort. Tenacious with and without the ball, it was good to see this again in Lilywhite. Plenty of solid tackles, neat and tidy play. Unlucky with his shot that struck the bar and his marauding run was a proper punching the air with encouragement moment. He was solid in his defensive duties (winning the ball back, tracking) and tasty going forward. Parker wasn't missed. Seeing players wanting to win, it shouldn't be a luxury, it should be a given.

Chipped away at Rovers for the 1-0 with Rafa scoring. The second a brilliant free-kick (oh my God, direct from a set-piece!) from Kyle Walker. Sorry Robbo.

Defenders had little to do. Flankers were involved without being overly exciting. Bale still roaming (although against Rovers it was the only way he could probably remain awake). Modric was free to collect and lay off in the middle to his hearts content and although this game was made easy by the lack of endeavour from the opposition we still had to work as a unit, which we did. Wasn't spectacular. Not going to complain either. We had to win, we did. That's enough for me.

Bolton next. That won't be easy in comparison and a far sterner test. Been here before post-Swansea win. Spurs, Harry...still with plenty to prove.

As for Roy Hodgson being approached by the FA who have yet to approach anyone else, either they will ask to speak to others or they've decided against Harry or perhaps they we're never really interested in him in the first place. Where the irony sits is up to you and your own perception of this saga.

Was the FA ever interested in Redknapp?

Could they not have released a statement and clarified their position unequivocally at the beginning (when Fabio was sacked) to say they will appoint someone in the summer when the season is actually over? Because if they did that (I forget) it still feels like its been dragged out with dollops of uncertainty landing in our back yard.

Does the FA not think they are causing uncertainty and distractions by doing their business when the season is still running its course? WBA still have games left to play last I looked.

If the FA did not approach Harry, then does the blame sit with Harry and his media mates who whored and manufactured a relentless campaign of hype where England was constantly mentioned and cited?

Why did Levy and Redknapp not meet behind closed doors and agree to draw a line under it and release a statement to reiterate focus on Spurs and Spurs only? If a manager is constantly talking about another job even if it's in response to media questions, surely a quiet word on professionalism wouldn't go a miss?

Good luck Roy.

It's funny to think that the FA might have had Redknapp in mind but changed it after the Spurs blip. A self-fulfilling prophecy of doom. If we don't qualify for the Champions League will Levy want to part with a mass of (compensation) money by sacking his manager? Or more to the point, is he now stuck with him? Or do we plug away with what we've got, because what we've got is still good enough to fight for a top four place next season? Even though it means we have to tolerate the continued disassociation and naivety which will point towards under-achieving - though this will depend on your perception. Competing top end of table is hardly under or over achieving if we keep doing it but could we be doing better and is the blame shared with Levy or is this simply the highs and lows of progression we should be enjoying? Kudos for removing the mid-table anchor but we should never ignore the sentiments in aiming high. Or are we limited due to wage budget and therefore at a level that can't be surpassed when comparing ourselves to the clubs above us?

I don't get this free-pass mentality that is being bestowed on Harry simply because 'we've never had it so good'. I still stand by what I said recently. Look at the position we were in early this season then look at the collapse and the subsequent handling of said collapse. Do you want to risk going through that again at a pivotal moment next season? I won't cover old ground (read The regression of Harry Redknapp's Tottenham, four parts for a far more detail look at this season and the future).

Still, the person that needs to step up this summer is the chairman. Longevity, transfers and decisiveness. We've been far too cautious for too long. Can we afford to speculate with a little more oomph? It's still tricky to work out whether we have the funds or not. How much of a hindrance (until built) is the NDP if at all? Are we aiming high or simply looking to sustain continuity.

I will end with this quote (from Harry's favourite tabloid) from Harry: “Good luck to Roy. I can see my future at Tottenham and I would like to stay. But that is down to the chairman.”

No wonder he looked so glum post match.

Never a dull moment at Spurs.

I fear we may be stuck with Redknapp now. It's a toss up between sticking with him and giving him cash to spend, or sacking him giving him and his staff compo and compo to another club for their manager and the subsequent money he'll need to spend. Knowing Levy, it'll be the less expensive option, with Redknapp allowed another season and the cash to buy a few more stop-gap players and a big name loan. Truth is we aint never gonna compete for the title/major honours until we can pay players £100,000 p/w plus, and the only way that is gonna happen is a new ground or a sugar daddy coming in from the blue.

Apr 30, 2012 at 10:27 AM | Unregistered Commenterkaiskama

On the game itself I felt we offered more on the right than on the left as we actually had our winger playing in the right position.

Also I'm probably one of the few who were as equally depressed about Walker's fantastic free kick as I was pleased. Reason being that after the game he admitted he'd never tried it before in training. What !!! How does our manager not know he can hit a ball like that already? Surely after VDVs and Bale's constant poor efforts for two seasons he'd be wanting to try everyone else to see what they can do?

A needed win, and scoring from a free kick, perfect.
The continuing side show with the FA is less than perfect.

So, it is back or sack for Levy / Arry in the summer...

Apr 30, 2012 at 10:29 AM | Unregistered CommenterSimonJ68

Have to agree with Jam shoes. You have to wonder sometimes what actually goes on, on the training ground. If we have a game where there are poor ticket sales it has never really mattered of late because of the amount of coaching staff we have sitting in the ground we nearlly fill it anyway. We have always looked vulnerable when defending corners and never really seem to have much success when we have a corner ourselves. I have always found it frustrating the Modric will always get us free kicks in good positions but again we never seem to be able to use that to our advantage.

Agree with Spooky: Levy needs to consider "Longevity, transfers and decisiveness." That is absolutely key. Is Harry going to provide that? Not sure. If he's apparently 'gutted' about not leaving, then perhaps it's time to say, it's not us that's the problem, it's you.

Also, from Goal.com this morning on Harry's disappointment:

"It almost serves the former West Ham boss right, after he spent the last week having to deal with a player revolt before suggesting that Luka Modric may well pack his bags at the end of the season.

“Why not?” he must have thought. “I’m off too in May. Me and Luka - hitting the big time!”

"I don’t practice free-kicks, but I just felt it was right." - Kyle Walker

I remember reading an article online somewhere last week (either Telegraph or Guardian) that talked about what happens at Spurs Lodge during training, or more to the point, what doesn't happen...... Needless to say, set pieces are NOT worked on in any fashion, be it attacking or defending corners or taking free-kicks.

Harry is not a master tactician, he's a man-manager - which is why the FA have decided against appointing him. They have seen over the last 10 weeks that if Plan A fails there is no Plan B. Hodgson may be dull as dishwater, but he knows his tactics etc and will organise a team with a good work ethic.
Harry will put an arm around a player's shoulder and give a boost of confidence, which is fine on a week to week basis, but when you only have players for 3/4 days at a time every couple of months it's simply not going to help.
Harry will look back at each England game that he didn't win and will decide to try the same formation and line-up for the next game.
Hodgson will look at results and performances and figure out where it went wrong and how to improve.
Harry will pick Frank, Crouch and the rest of the old guard regardless of club performance.
Hodgson will pick on merit and based on the opponent.

Apparently there were rumours that Harry had already told the FA he wanted Jamie in his staff....... possibly why it never went any further!

Apr 30, 2012 at 11:20 AM | Unregistered CommenterWalkerboy

If he stays, there may be a psychological obstacle for Harry to surmount. If he has mentally prepared to leave, it won't be easy to find renewed enthusiasm and energy for a job he has already put behind him. Rather like Modric - who could already see himself wearing blue - his efforts may dip in consequence. When your heart is no longer in it, the town where you once felt free suddenly becomes a prison, and the house you loved as a home feels small and grey.

If love really is so much lovelier the second time around, then maybe this will be a rebirth for Spurs. But I'm unconvinced Harry gave his heart to Spurs in love's first bloom. Even so, perhaps that emotional distance will allow him to proceed - unencumbered by personal attachment - with the task of building a winning club.

I will say exactly what I did after the Chelsea draw, "Lets win our next 3 games before we talk about turning the corner!"
So many on here were saying the blip was over after that relatively average performance, Bale was still pretty poor, Rose did ok defensively but how he was ever a winger I will never know as the kid can not beat a player or cross a ball!
Special mentions to Sandro, Walker and Lennon, thought all 3 were superb.

Win 3 games and hope for the best thats all we can do now, we must play the same formation in all 3 with our wingers getting chalk on their boots (Bale this is aimed at you), If le Arse win their last 2 then they have deserved 3rd

Well, this has left us in a bit of a mess, hasn't it? Leaving aside the question of how much impact the speculation over the England role had on Harry Redknapp, both he and the fans behaved in a certain way to each other on the assumption that he was leaving. Now we all may have to reassess this relationship, and see if it can be mended so as to ensure the best for THFC.

Personally, I think Redknapp's been made to look silly by the FA and the media. He was the only name in the frame for ages, and he has been the only manager who has had the spotlight on him, who has been 'interviewed' in public. So he failed that interview, but in doing so, nearly took Spurs' season down with him. That was unfair. It's easy for WBA and Hodgson to perform with no pressure on them, to go on a run when you're safe from relegation, but Spurs and Redknapp were under real pressure with previously unobtainable goals in front of us.

Perhaps he shouldn't have listened to his mates in the media, but that's what mates can do. They can tell you that girl is giving you the eye when she's not, that you do look good in a snood, because they're your mates. No-one meant to cause damage, but they have left Harry looking humiliated.

Would it have hurt the FA to make it clear that there had been no decision made? The FA have played this for it's "Aha!" value, as in "When we said we have a target, you thought we meant Redknapp, but no..." Well, f#ck off. And next time you say stuff about not wanting to ruin someone's season, have a real think about how you could actually avoid it and behave like grown-ups, rather than some silly slappers out on the tease.

But at least it's over, and the club, the players, the fans and the manager can make informed decisions about next season. Hopefully from the viewpoint of fourth place.

Is it over though? Should England turn in their ususal performance i.e. crap; won't harry's media mates be agitating for him again in early July? Won't his head be turned again?

Apr 30, 2012 at 1:09 PM | Unregistered CommenterZiegemonster

Ziegemonster,

Probably, but by then Redknapp needs to have made a declaration of commitment to Spurs, presuming that we have made/ want to make one to him (new contract, promise of some cash etc).

If it's true about rifts in the camp, and about certain things like Pineaars transfer being made by Levy not Redknapp, then there is a lot of healing to be done. Both Levy and Redknapp need to do some serious thinking about the future, because as you say, we can't have "Redknapp for England" popping every time England draw with Moldova.

Apr 30, 2012 at 1:33 PM | Unregistered CommenterRichard Meehan

"Roy Hodgson for England is a shock choice and maybe a wrong one" --Guardian headline. It's starting already.

Putting aside all the personality issues, is it sensible to build a long term plan around a senior citizen with heart as well as other health issues? How long do Harry supporters think he can physically keep up with the demands of the job? Didn't he say when he joined us that this would be his last gig before retirement? And that was four years ago...

Sure, being offered the England job, which is, let's face it, a part time gig would be enough to give you a new lease on life, but, at this point in his life and after this disappointment/slap in the face, how much enthusiasm and energy do you think Redknapp has left to devote to Spurs?

Apr 30, 2012 at 1:52 PM | Unregistered CommenterZiegemonster

Well at the same time this is all going on Wigans chairman seems to be preparing the way for Roberto Martinez to leave on good terms talking of him managing a team in europe shortly so one wonders if overtures have been made to Wigan by a team in europe? Maybe us, maybe Chelski? Hey Barca are looking to replace Pep lol but all jokes aside I am very impressed with what he is achieving there with the players and resources at his disposal. I mean he has beaten manure how many of our managers have tried that and failed? Well if Harry goes then I think he would be as good if not better shout than Rogers, Lambert and Moyes. Anyway I want stability at spurs and for awhile we achieved it with HR but now he is destabilising us it would appear so reluctantly (because we have had too many managers) I think it is time to change but we have to think long term and we have to appoint someone who wants to build something lasting and we have to give them the time to do so. COYS!!!

Woy is already being held up as a bad appointment. Last time that happened was with Steve McLaren. Here we go again. If we barely scrape through the group stages and don't dominate WC qualifying I can see a new England manager within 18 months. The media have got it in for him unless we come close to winning the Euros. I can't say I disagree with them.
We've had a decade of managers trying to get us playing in a continental style and it plainly doesn't work. England has always and will always be about balls to the wall attack, which is why HR is the right appointment. 2014 could have been our next Italia 90 but is going to be 2 more years of indifference.

St Neots - we're been so fragile, it was good to just see us dominate a team. One step at a time (although hardly enough steps left in this season).

Apr 30, 2012 at 3:47 PM | Registered Commenterspooky

I'll never trust Harry again. He's blown the CL qualification, and all because he wanted the England jobby. When Corluka made a valid point he ridiculed him, and just because Corluka was critical of him. It's all about Harry, one minute we were title contenders, next minute we would be lucky to qualify for the Europa. He's no tactition and he's got away with managing teams in England with his 'man management' ability, but when it comes to picking a team or a substitution he's 'goddam awful'.
We need some new blood and the time is right to pay up the final year on his contract and let him concentrate on walking his dogs. David Moyes - step up to the plate.

Apr 30, 2012 at 5:42 PM | Unregistered Commentercookiebun

As someone said earlier, you really could not make it up. Harry now singing the praises regarding his 'wonderful' job at Spurs,
something he has refused to do since England job speculation started .Goes to show what difference 3 months in football can
make. In January, just after the court case and Capello quitting, Harry's stock was never higher and of course he lapped up all
the attention. Yes, he thanked the Tottenham fans for their support, but refused to pledge his future with us and then came
our non coincidental run of shocking form and now I would suggest the majority of Spurs fans-myself included- think he has
taken us as far as he is able and we need a new man, one who does not need a huge entourage of backroom staff. I wanted
him to get the England job so we could get rid, but could see this happening after H watched over as our season fell apart.
The FA clearly logged our freefall under H and his (non) tactical nous and decided against and I think Hodgson will be a good
national manager and is blessed with more grace than H could ever hope to have. I also believe he thinks before he speaks and
more importantly, remembers what he has said in previous interviews, something H should learn to do, but it is too late now.

Apr 30, 2012 at 6:19 PM | Unregistered Commenter4Mullery

I reckon that The FA were Harry's 1st choice and were already negotiating with Spurs, but Levy wanted too much compensation, so the FA decided to pull out. The reason I think this is the case, is as spooky said, why did Levy and Harry not stop all these rumours from unsettling our team. Not once has Levy tried to liase with the fans.. The reason, because he is as guilty in all what has gone on. Why did Levy let the likes of Corluka and Pavlo go, only to be replaced by players that are older and injury prone. We all know that Levy is Spurs through and through, but this holding out for more money and cost saving has cost us 3rd place since the January window.
Also a special mension to Walker, what a goal,."brilliant".. He has come a long way.

VDV: not a chance!!
VDV: oh gone on then!!

More nonsense from Harry tonight: he always lets it slip when he tries to deny that something's the case - whether he's after a player, or what he's been thinking. Tonight he admitted England has been a distraction, after denying it all along. He will LITERALLY say anything to anybody. Regarding England:

"Its not something I thought about or I haven't spent the last six weeks thinking: 'Oh my God, what's the squad I'm going to take [to the Euros], what am I going [to do]?' I've just been concentrating solely on Tottenham and that's not changed."

Who said anything about the Euro squad? This means, obviously, he's spent the last 6 weeks thinking about his Euro squad and not about Tottenham! Jesus! Apart from anything else, does nobody else think he's just so weird?

Now he says England have got great players and he's sure Roy will be a huge success - "We've got teriffic players in this country'" - I just heard him say out of his car window - after he's spent the last few months saying how hard a job it would be for anybody, we haven't won anything since '66.... etc etc etc etc. How can somebody who doesn't know his own mind about anything be a manager?

Levy: press eject after Fulham.

May 1, 2012 at 2:54 AM | Unregistered Commenternycyid

Agree with Dizzwilly: eject after Fulham. 3rd, 4th, 5th or 6th, it doesn't matter.

I've written this before. HR has reached the limits of his ability with us. He is an expert short-term crisis manager that works best when a team is low on morale and desperately under-performing. When that team starts humming, he gets bored. He cannot maintain focus.

The good news in this? We're in crisis. It just remains to be seen if Harry to rescue a crisis of his own making. I'm hopeful of 3rd and confident of 4th and adamant Harry goes at the Fulham game...

Come to think of it, wtih Jol at Fulham now it would be quite poetic. Picture this, it's the 89th minute, we're leading Fulham 4-0 while Arsenal trail West Brom 1-0 at the same point. The live table shows us locked in third. DL stands up in in the directors box. It draws attention from supporters and the dugout alike. Is he going to raise his arms in vindicated glory? Kevin Bond sees it. He wanders to the heated seats and wakes Harry from his slumber. Harry splutters and shakes into wakefulness, is heard to mutter 'Dave? Phil? Wot? Fuckin Woy? You're havin' a larf' before he comes to what passes as his senses. He rubs his twitchy eyes as Bond points up to Levy. Harry turns around to look at what could be more important than his kip just as Levy reaches down to pick something up. What's this? Is it the drum? No. It's. It's the assistant referee's board. Daniel is going to tell us how much time added on? Strange. DL flicks the switch and in brilliant orange, 'Redknapp Out'. The Lane explodes into raptures. Bale and Modric salute the chairman as HR trudges down the tunnel.

Two weeks later, Bluescum win the Champions League, relegating Arsenal from next years competition despite finishing 4th. Podolski exercises a right to cancel his transfer owing to the failure to qualify for the Champions League. van Persie does the same. Jack Wiltshire is caught masturbating nude on a San Francisco street after learning the Kony campaign wasn't all it was cracked up to be. Wenger leaves for Madrid to replace Tottenham bound Mourinho. Hazard, Vertonghen and Llorente sign for Spurs as dos Santos, Jenas, Bassong, Bentley and ah, well, it was going too far, huh.

Another question...... Assuming we finish 4th and Chelsea win the CL, do we get some form of financial compensation from UEFA??
After all, a team plays 38 games in a season with the aim of reaching the top 4 and subsequently the Champions League.
To have that taken away because one team finishes outside the top 4 but wins one game over 90 mins seems and takes the spot seems rather harsh.

In my opinion Chelsea shouldn't be given the opportunity to potentially defend the trophy if over 38 games they failed to reach the relevant position.

I can see a big legal battle coming..........

May 1, 2012 at 1:44 PM | Unregistered CommenterWalkerboy

I`ve read so many blogs recently and to my mind lots of people are missing the point.
It helps to regard the season as a single event rather than a series of 38 episodes.
We have been blinded by a good number of winnable fixtures in the first half of the season and subsequently taking up third place for a while.
Our season has not collapsed due to lack of rotation or any of the excuses being banded about.
Our season has not collapsed at all. What we have seen recently is what we knew all along - we cannot beat the big clubs. That, mixed with the odd careless result - Wolves home, Norwich home and we are back to square one. Yes, back to square one. We had not had a particularly good season up until this point. I`ll challenge anyone to review our results from earlier in the season and pick one that exceeded expectations.
However, think back to when Redkrapp`s ticker was sound and even appeared to be in the right place and when Fabio`s resignation wasn`t even an itch in John Terry`s ballbag. And remember this line - P2 W0 D0 L2 F1 A8. Do you remember? Nothing to do with rotation, exhaustion, court cases or any other rubbish. All to do with a manager who is incapable of taking on the big boys. The reason we are so frustrated is that we know we have a good side, who should be competing. But here`s the evidence, nothing has changed from the start of the season to now. Nobody has crashed, nobody has come up on the rails, the season is one event where each club plays the same fixtures. That may sound obvious, but give it some thought and you`ll see my point.
We can all point to certain poor decisions in certain games - no doubt exclusively made by Redkrapp - but THE defining moment was so painful, but needs to be recounted.
There we were at the library against a scum side beautifully low on form and confidence. They somehow managed to gift us a two goal lead. It was one of those memorable moments in sport - like when Bruno rocked Tyson to his boots. But, like Bruno we or Redkrapp failed to deliver the knockout blow. One substitution would have delivered that punch. Instead we took a step back and allowed them parity. Half time and Redkrapp manages to make substitutions that would be the equivalent of a boxer handcuffing himself to the ropes. And the oppositon ruthlessly, painfully smashed us to the canvass. Whilst they went on to mount a shot at the title, we were left writhing and only now have we recovered to one knee, still trembling and punch drunk.

It did look as though there may be light at the end of the tunnel. Fabio departed and the door was opened for `Arry. I arranged my sofas so they weren`t facing the kitchen. filled the house with magic crystals, only farted facing the west and offered my soul to an effigy of Bernstein on a daily basis.
All to no avail. So there`s another excuse gone, the FA hadn`t been distracting Redkrapp with behind the scenes talks.
But, I wonder..............................could we sue the FA in advance for fucking next season up for us?

May 1, 2012 at 9:02 PM | Unregistered Commentermoe

@Moe - I see your points and they are somewhat valid. However, I think you have to be a little careful with the first 2 games and your statement about them. At that point we had Modric wanting to leave and in the middle of a battle with Levy as to whether or not he could go. We also had no Scott Parker in a defensive midfield role, despite Harry making him priority signing #1 all summer. Fact is that Levy is as much to blame for the performances against City & United because he didn't open the cheque book early enough. Likewise with the post-January window performances. Harry wanted big players in, Levy let him bring Saha & Nelsen on freebies.
As for being incapable of taking on the big-boys, harsh statement. At the Etihad we were an inch away from winning late on, and a reckless challenge away from a draw. We bossed Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, we thumped Liverpool at home, we beat Arsenal at home. Against Liverpool at Anfield, Harry wasn't even in charge. Against United at home it was a goal right on H/T that knocked the stuffing out of us after we dominated for 45 mins - look at what happened on Monday when City did the same to United!

Everything went wrong once Capello quit and Harry thought he was a shoe-in for the job. He lost focus on the job at hand - it happens. I did the same after I thought an interview I went for recently went well...... and ended up not getting the job.
Let's not also forget we had a few incredibly dubious decisions go against us this season.
The FA are also largely at fault for our loss of focus. They claim that they only contacted WBA, and that Hodgson had been their choice for the last month. If that's the case then they spent too long going public. Harry could have been left to focus 100% on Spurs if this had been dealt with in early April.

Walkerboy..... ok maybe I am using this opportunity to vent the feelings I`ve held for `Arry for a couple of years now.
Agreed Levy is not to be trusted as he proved for all to see when he visited estate agents in Stratford.
But I must apologise as my previous post was loaded and I was hoping that someone would bring up the points you have.
Regardless of peronnel over recent years we seem to be a club shrouded in negativity from top to bottom. We need to shake ourselves out of it and approach the whole game as winners before we acheive anything.
For example, where we are now I don`t think we should regard Liverpool as big boys - that said yes we have turned in some majestic performances this season, I wouldn`t deny it.
Away at City - we focus on the facts that JD wasn`t wearing high heels and that the opposition should have been down to ten men and aint it just our luck that guess who scored the winner?
Those things were out of our control and if we`d come away focussing on the fact that the final ball should have been slightly better - JD was bang up with play and even had to check his run slightly - and that we ultimately lost the game because of a lazy last minute clearance thumped into the centre circle - then we could learn from those mistakes as winners do. City taught us two lessons at once there - how to win when you`re not playing well and how to win the games that matter.
Yes we beat Arsenal, but our form against the big clubs does not stand up to any examination. Goals conceded v Arsenal 6 , City 8, Man U 6, Chelsea 6. And this is where we have stood still, or even got worse.
`Arry has been willing to burn the cups and stated early intent on a top 4 finish. As the wind changed direction his ambitions have adjusted to winning the league and then finishing as London`s top club. Now back to top four, but don`t blame us if we don`t as the league is so unpredictable. No wonder we get so frustrated. Disect `Arry`s words and by his expectations we have had a poor season, but don`t expect to hear him say so.
If we finish fourth and god forbid Chels win the CL, we will hear H banging on about how unfortunate we are. I don`t want to hear that - I want to hear how we have now learnt a lesson from this season and how they know they had third place nailed on.
That way at least we may approach next season feeling a bit more positive.
Anyway, if we are stuck with him it`s only fair that we get behind him for next season and hope that lessons have been learned. And prey that for once Mr Levy may loosen the purse strings in the early part of the transfer window.

......................ps I have also been in the position of having a job interview, convinced I had nailed it and my performance at work suffered. However, if it`s true that Woy is the only candidate the FA have actually approached, then why has so much been made of H taking his eye off the ball? Why wouldn`t this excuse apply to every manager in the league, most of all Woy of course, who has continued to produce results?

As a fan from another club, all i want to say is.......HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. I had tears in my eyes watching Chelsea win the CL cause i was laughing so hard. Hahaha.

Couldn't have happened to a nicer manager and club. Maybe next season (cause you all know HR will not be sacked) he will stop unsettling players from other teams and basically talking shite.

Hahahahahahahahahahaha
