Leaked letter from Spurs to Chelsea

Ron Gourlay
Stamford Bridge,
Fulham Road, London
SW16 1HS

Mr. Gourlay,

Further to your correspondence and renewed pursuit of Luka Modric, I am writing to you to tell this player is not for sale at ANY price.

Whilst I commend the work you have done in getting to the player with the use of an unnamed Iranian agent, I can only apologise for the club’s stance in this instance.

On 1st September 2011, Luka Modric will be a Tottenham Hotspur player. I hope this is clear and the club does not welcome any other offers.

Further to this, the club would like to make an enquiry about Fernando Torres. As a result of his clear dip in form and lack of goals, the club think it would be appropriate to offer £14million plus £2.6million in add-ons for International and Premier League honours.

We hope you are satisfied with this offer and look forward to hearing your positive response in the near future.

May I close this note with a piece of advice; Nigel Reo-Coker is currently a free agent and would be a very good addition to your current squad.

I look forward to sharing a beverage with you and Roman on Tuesday 20th December.

Kind Regards,

Daniel Levy
Chairman,
Tottenham Hotspur Football Club Plc.

@cerdo - the mere fact that you include a Zenith Data Systems Trophy, Full Members Cup and all the times when you've lost, ie; Runners-Up just shows your lickle Club Mentality.
Look at the Trophy stats before Roman.....Oh Yeah...did'nt Roman come to buy us in the first place but Mr Levy thought he was'nt serious.
Chelsea are catchable this year, Terry, Lampard, Drogba, Anelka, Malouda, Cole ...all in their 30's. Modric only wants to play for Chelsea because of the ££££'s...nothing else so don't delude yourself. You lot are fckued with this 'Financial Fair Play', you can't expand the groud and you got shedloads of players on £100+k a week and your fanbase is shite.......present company included.

HERE,HERE........CEDRO UR A CUNT

Jul 16, 2011 at 6:35 PM | Unregistered CommenterWE ARE THE YIDS

You only have to go to a game at their place to know what a shit fanbase they have. I mean even against their rivals Tottenham the place is stacked with day trip nips with cameras saying "rook, John Telly!"
Face facts you mindless cunts, you can't fill your stadium with real fans during a derby game and yet we have to book 3 months in advance to get a ticket for Stoke.
Jog on!
Small club with money, nothing more, nothing less.

Why all the fuss about one Spurs player wanting to move across London? Levy wants to move the WHOLE CLUB across London.
You'd do better to defend your club's heritage from Levy, than waste time writing inane pieces about Modric. When Man U and Liverpool fans felt threatened by club owners, they directed their energies to fight for the club. What do Spurs fans do? Write "funny" pretend=letters about Modric and Chelsea. Shameful and juvenile and illustrative of why Levy feels he can trample all over the heritage of Tottenham Hotspur without protest.

Hey gays, sorry guys

Why the bitterness!!!

FACT :The spuds are a selling club. a feeder club to the big boys. no if's...fact modric, spuds best player, will help improve chelsea squad

Fact: the majority of spuds honours are community shields x7 Ha HA hA HA
FACT: Chelsea have won more major honours than the spuds

Jul 16, 2011 at 9:23 PM | Unregistered Commentercerdo

Are any of you, spuds, old enough to remember winning @ the bridge?

no, youngsters

Jul 16, 2011 at 9:25 PM | Unregistered Commentercerdo

says it all spursman79... "give us adebayor". You're that desperate, you'd take a gooner reject??? Stinks of desperation.Don't get bitter, get better!!!

Jul 16, 2011 at 10:19 PM | Unregistered Commenterspursusedtobebig

Hey Chelsea lad, you old enough to remember your attendances back in the day?

You're a club with a small heart, but very deep pockets. Congratulations. Doesn't matter what your argument is and how desperate you want us to bite back but you need to shift across to a Fulham or West Ham blog, imho.

Love and kisses

To the chavski cnuts. I see 17 to muppets 16 and remember, you had to spend hundreds of millions to get anywhere near us. No history, few fans, fewer trophies, no class and crap football.

Jul 16, 2011 at 10:39 PM | Unregistered CommenterSquirrel

Cerdo, you don't even know your limited history! Supporting the club since 2004? Ever been to the bridge? You can't even use "I can't get a seat" because you can even turn up on the day and buy one.

Big club my arse!

Tottenham followers at White Hart Lane remind me of patrons of the Ritz Cinema – the ones who used to go there every week and see great stars, Oscar-winners and technicolor thrills. But then it all changed and they turned the place into a decrepit Bingo Hall and all the old codgers who ever saw Tottenham's glory days go there to talk of old times. There's nothing else to talk about apart from Gilzean, Jones and Greaves. It's all ancient history, like those old movies Ben-Hur and Spartacus. The only excitement at Tottenham these days is as inspiring as a shout of "Bingo!" from one of the old folk. And those old people know hat their sons and grandkids will never see an equivalent of the "Glory" days. Must be incredibly sad for them, to see their offspring watching tripe every week, with as many Premiership titles as Crystal Palace and being laughed at by Chelsea and Arsenal fans. And I don't mean a bit of giggling... I mean real, rollicking LAUGHTER!!!!

Jul 16, 2011 at 11:08 PM | Unregistered CommenterSir Cecil

Haha good spot Norman.

Come on, let's stop kidding ourselves. Chelsea are a bigger club than us...are Forest a bigger club than them too? Or Leeds? Or Sheffield United because they have older history? Notts C? Modric has a right to want to try and win things, play CL and make more money. What bugs me is his quotes a couple of months back how he wants to progress and that he wants everyone to stay together, it's like Judas double standards all over again.

But, this is his choice, and if the price is right we should and will sell. He's a slimy little git and I can't wait to see him in a Chelsea shirt so I can abuse him - after all, that's what footballs all about, if it was all about winning we'd all be Manure (not Chelscum) fans.

I'd also like to state that although you are a bunch of poor, pikey, arrogant little pricks, if I was in your positions as Chelsea fans I'd be on here ripping it out of us Spurs fans as well, we are a deluded fickle bunch, No hard feelings. At least until your making scummy racist remarks to us at the bridge. I look forward to outsinging you there.

COYS.

Jul 17, 2011 at 12:15 AM | Unregistered CommenterTruYid

I still think selling him sends the wrong message after the berbatov, carrick, keane trend of recent years. To act like a "big club" is worth way more than 30million to us

Fact: the majority of spuds honours are community shields x7 Ha HA hA HA

You may want to check your facts again and count the number of FA Cups we've won...

This letter is a complete fraud.
It assumes that anyone at Chelsea's capable of reading. Especially anything in English.

As anyone knows, communication with Chelsea FC must be by telephone. You need to ring 2-3 times to give whoever answers the chance to figure out how to hold it and which end to speak into.

Remember you are dealing with the living brain-dead. You will need to repeat the phrase "Modric is not for sale. Not now. Not ever. And especially not to you", many, many times before it might be understood.

Jul 17, 2011 at 6:33 AM | Unregistered CommenterOldSpur

Cerdo, you mong, since when has Runner Up been an honour. I guess it's all you had to crow about until you won the Russina lottery. Cretin!

Jul 17, 2011 at 8:22 AM | Unregistered CommenterSurespur

That's RUSSIAN Lottery. You know how to spell it father-mucka!

Jul 17, 2011 at 8:23 AM | Unregistered CommenterSurespur

let him go we can have drogba + 15million quid.
whatever happens chelski are gonna get a huge fine & points deducted for illegally tapping up modric so they can forget about euro champoinships after next season.

Cry babies, we need modric and modric we must have whether you like it or not.

Jul 17, 2011 at 10:52 AM | Unregistered CommenterAboh

Now thats really stirred em up Spooky.
Didn't you start out writing letters to Mr.Levy.?
The clue is in the blog title.

Now you're plying your trade writing as his amnuensis.
Is this a rise in fortunes or a sad, sad fall?

Modric will go;
the tide will come in and go out,
the moon will wax and wane
and we will al be Spurs fans tomorrow and forever.

Although not if they played like yesterday we won't.

Jul 17, 2011 at 12:08 PM | Unregistered CommenterJimmyG2

There's money at Chelsea, there's winning at Chelsea but there ain't no glory at Chelsea. It's a plastic club with no class.

Jul 17, 2011 at 1:28 PM | Unregistered CommenterDY

hi spooky
are you sure thats an argument (a set of one or more meaningful declarative sentences) you seem well versed in chelsea's history Fact: no argument....chelsea are a bigger club

simple supply and demand....not rocket science i.e feeder clubs like the spuds are not forced by gun point to sell.....still everythng runs in cycles......but please stop talking about the glory days ........ @present the spuds are on a level with westhaam and fulham.. in effect a feeder club to the big boys

Jul 17, 2011 at 2:04 PM | Unregistered Commentercerdo

hi dy
Fact: spuds have no money (pot to piss in until you sell modric), there's definitely no winning mentality, spineless bunch of second rate footballers (remember 3up @halftime v manure only to lose 3 v 5), useless forward line, and lastly no glory (spud fans live in the past)
Time for all spud fans to live in the real world and support a "winning global giant" i.e chelsea

Jul 17, 2011 at 2:19 PM | Unregistered Commentercerdo

Cerdo, I think my point was I don't care about Chelsea. Not half as much as you lot obsesses about us.

Jul 17, 2011 at 2:30 PM | Registered Commenterspooky

Cedro - you really are a complete and utter twat aren't you.....
A "winning global giant" - erm, certainly not Chelsea then. Apart from financially you're actually no better in Europe than Spurs i.e. you've not won the CL. Sure, you may be there each season, but until you win it you've achieved nothing.

The difference between Spurs & Chelsea - we didn't have to rely on some rich sugar daddy to pay our path into the Champions League. We did it through self funding.

Jul 17, 2011 at 2:42 PM | Unregistered CommenterWalkerboy

Cerdo (or should that be Merdo ?)

Do a straw poll of EPL club and fan sites to get a true sense of how your club's perceived. You'll find, I have no doubt, that your club, your players, and especially your supporters, are held in utter contempt by most of the rest. Racist, ignorant, BNP-minded, flash-harry bottlers. You've never really done it, have you ?

Tottenham have a tradition and a culture, a style of play and an approach, which makes them second favourite choice for many fans. Living amongst hardcore Blades/Owls/Tykes fans, who don't waste their breath, there is a respect for Tottenham up here that your lot can only dream about. Once the roubles go, and they will, whadya got ???

Jul 17, 2011 at 3:23 PM | Unregistered Commenterwakeywakey

hi walkerboy
Are you teasing me...the difference between the spuds and chelsea are huge, the spuds will never "in our life time" win the prem and are likely never to get into the top four again to enter the champions league....be realistic
....will they ever win @ the bridge!!!!
...finish above us in the prem.....not any time soon

ps who gives a siht what bitter northerners think….within a decade their children could realistically be chelsea supporters......logically in this era, or any era, a team with sustained success will by default gain support from a wider field!!!!!

pps when chelsea lost controversially to barcelona on tv after dominating the game, where you not secretly cheering on the blues.....bet you where!!!!

Note; the correct spelling of your name should contain the letter N instead of the L

Jul 17, 2011 at 7:28 PM | Unregistered Commentercerdo

Chelsea fans - seriously, stop trying to validate your existence. Bore off lads.

Jul 17, 2011 at 7:32 PM | Registered Commenterspooky

Hey spooky
as past glories fade into the distance….the more funnier spud fans are......to dam optimistic

it never fails to surprises me how you gays, sorry guys, enter each new season with high hopes…only for those hopes turned into hopelessness dashed after 5/6 games of mediocrity

ps I find it amusing teasing those who are blind to the fact, that deep down, they enjoy the humiliation of supporting a team going nowhere….a mirror of their lives in effect
Self loathing i.e. losers
Note: hope you gays, sorry guys, have the decency not to involve/brain wash your children into supporting a team not worthy of their faith…..let nature take its course and Chelsea be their team.

Jul 17, 2011 at 8:10 PM | Unregistered Commentercerdo

please go away cerdo, I have nothing aginst fans from other clubs, as long as they haven't been lobotomised.

And wakeywakery, 'racist, ignorant...' is that anyway to talk about a current England player / captain?

Escpecially as you missed out 'casual violence' and 'narcissism', now granted for the majority of people it is perhaps implicit with 'BNP-minded', but you have to remember some of your audience here.

Think less 'Oxford English' more 'speak and spell', next time just put 'fucktards', that should hit the spot.

Jul 18, 2011 at 9:51 AM | Unregistered CommenterTricky

I understand now why children should be seen and not heard.

Jul 18, 2011 at 10:01 AM | Unregistered CommenterDiaz

Why does everyone keep going on about using the money to replace Modsick!! We still have Niko Kranjkar who could easily fill Modsicks little boots and score more goals too!! I say sell the little lady for £35 million and use the money to buy Llorente and Lukaku. Then clear out Bentley, Jenas, Palacios, Crouch, Keane and Hutton bring in Mata, Sturridge and Cahill and the jobs a good'un!

Jul 18, 2011 at 11:28 AM | Unregistered CommenterJayTheYid07

oh and cerdo,

lets see if you are still spouting your crap when Abramovich gets bored and leaves your BOUGHT team on a mountain of debt or even better when the new FIFA laws kick in and you cant pay your wage bill, lmao. Mass clear out and Chelski in the championship..........

Jul 18, 2011 at 11:33 AM | Unregistered CommenterJayTheYid07

We're in the ninth year of "when Abramovich gets bored" and the second year of "when Financial fair play laws kick in"....... not a lot of original thought here nor any substance to it.
