A lot of effort went into this one then
Viral? Leaked completley by accident? Or just a plain shirt used for pre-launch to allow the tech guys to build the product page? You can find it here (until it gets pulled down). If real, then the suggestion is that Puma have sent out images of the shirts to online retail shops ready for post-launch. Someone too eager has published live, rather than on test. Possibly.
Regardless, what of the shirt?
Clean, crisp...just white. No yellow streaks or unnecessary complications. Just white. With collars.
I thought it (the above image) was photo-shopped when I first saw it, probably just an instinctive reaction to seeing something so simplistic in design. On closer inspection, you can zoom into the image on the above linked page, so appears to be fairly geninue. Which still remains my only concern (what with being paranoid and cynical that this has 'gone live' and remained so without anyone pulling it off the site, thus creating hype/chat across blogs and Twitter and football message boards. Because what would be the point of that?)
Oh yeah.
Nice one Puma. You had as fooled with 'Guess the Kit' and all those zany designs.
Here's a mock up with a sponsor, via Glenroyid:
Spurs - any chance we can get rid of the red dot? Moon on a stick.
If this is the shirt, then well done to all involved in it's design. Although I'm thinking all they did was listen to what many of us have been demanding for so long and avoid re-inventing the wheel.
Although I'm wondering if I'd prefer it without the collars...

As long as I can get one with Modric on the back then I'm fine.
I'm all for collars.
If Spurs launch this shirt and Modric is in the photo-shoot then go ahead and get those letters printed on the back.
I like it with the collars but £50 for a white polo neck basically is steep!
that would be a statement and a half if record Modric shirts were sold as soon as it comes out - especially to Luka.
The shiirt is BORING. I really hope that spurs ditch Puma for 'any' other manufacturer.
We have. 2013 shirts will be by Under Armour.
Red dot, collar and sponser? This is an outrage! LEVY OUT...
I have been waiting for a true Spurs shirt for some years now. At last, on e without chevrons or bits of yellow and navy around the sleeves.
Just need to get rid of sponsors logos now.
Seriously, what is the general view on sponsors logos being reduced in size?
Well I'll never own a shirt with autonomy written on it.
Investec I guess, but I'm not keen on crosses either.
As for what the team wears I'm 95% indifferent and get used to whatever they pick by October anyway, knowing it will change the next season anyway so who cares?
I'd love it if that's the kit. Actually, if it wasn't for the fact that we make so much money from the new replica kits each year, I'd want the club to keep that as our top every season. Plain white shirt, plain blue shorts, plain white socks. Simply, classy, Spurs.
Might actually purchase this one. If it's available without sponsor (another moon on a stick moment) then even better. This is classy. A good swansong from Puma.
"As long as I can get one with Modric on the back then I'm fine."
my thought exactly
I think the white will contrast nicely with the no shorts look.
Statistically speaking, teams that have red on their jerseys have a higher chance of winning a game. So, we need that red dot.
Are we still the club that breaches the agreement on kit changes the most...
Another 3 kits for one year only, not a bad business model really.
Couldn't care less what the shirt looks like, as long as Modric is wearing one.
I think it's nicely reflective of the times,
Moneys tight so let's not bother with details, just stick some logo's on a plain white polo and ship them out by the shop full.
Got to hand it to levy, squeezing the margin at both ends.
Oh, and big sky spur, made me laugh that.
Where's the yellow streaks of piss and retro bollox? Puma in tasteful kit respecting our history shocker!
We're being pioneers again with our shorts...just this time it's hotpants hidden under the shirt
Nice. Matches the shirts on the front of this year's membership renewal pack. Was hoping they'd be real!
I like it, red dot or not, it's not a big deal for me although I was completely against the all red logos of the past. I do wish they would make the two blues the same, seems ever so slightly off balancing. Anyway, much improved on the last two.
In other news, anyone seen the fixture list, if we don't click immediately 'cant beat the big four factor' 'howard webb factor' and the 'cant beat the bottom half factor' that wolves pull on us each time could see Rednapp saying 2 pts from 8 games a second time. Harsh start
I hate the Puma shirts, I feel like I'm wearing an asbestos/polyester blend. Good news is this is the last year, next year is Under Armour!
