Spurs 0 Wigan 1, dvd unavailable at club shop

Spurs 0 Wigan 1

Now that's what I call falling back down to earth with a bump.

Wigan didn't park the bus in front of the goal. They all screamed shotgun and drove it around White Hart Lane. Didn't even bother with seat-belts. Credit to them for their hard work off the ball, closing us down, not allowing us time to stick a foot on the ball and take control of the tempo gauge. They did park up second half. And not because they run of gas. However, shame on us for not having the tenacity to push them off the ball, stick that foot on it, and smash 'em out of N17.

It was made even more so comfortable by our lack of composure. Sloppy, uneasy early play meant confidence to Wigan and not a lot in the way of penetrative football from us. Couple of decent Defoe efforts, but lacklustre in comparison to what we can do. What we know we can do. Champions League hangover? Hate that phrase already. Not something I want to be hearing again this season.

Turned up the pace in the second half, but it was still all a bit stuck at the 60% mark. No swagger. No clean crisp classic Tottenham movement. Shades of last seasons dark moments at the Lane. Basically, on days like this, you tend to get the following head-shaking components:

We start slow
We survive a couple of scares
We fail to take hold of the game
We retain possession
We create some chances, but don't finish them
The game progresses
And continues to progress
But we never truly dictate
And we never actually visibly shift gear

What you have here is break-down of the quintessential Spurs home game non-entity, which results in a long walk home up the high road and Match of the Day removed from your recording schedule.

BAE giving his doubters some evidence of his sometimes dodgy concentration. Off he went at half-time, Niko on, with Pav on for Crouch (Gio on late on for Azza). Possession mostly with us, Wigan just defending, remaining disciplined.

For us, frustration personified. Ominous. You could see what was coming. Because we've seen it before.

How we joked pre-match we'd win comfortable. I guess if we're going to earn distinction on the lessons learnt (lost) from last season by losing again to remind us of our frailties, we may as well get them out of the way early doors because any more misfiring like today and we'll regret it towards the back end of the season when we tally up the points. One mistake at home, that's your lot Spurs. No room for more, k?

We lacked any sort of individual magic, talismanic inspiration or moment of brilliance to get us out of the sleepy performance. You know the sort of thing, when you play below average, but someone out there does something completely out of the blue and out of synch with the rest of the game, to win the points.

How long is Modric out for?

BAE going off and having Bale move back into LB position meant we lost that power going forward, but then he wasn't overly impressing today anyway. No one was.

It's funny how nowadays, when we drop points, its usually because the side don't quite get it together, rather than being abjectly rubbish or outplayed off the park. Ordinary is enough for a hard-working side to get the better of us. Yes I know - it doesn't happen often but that doesn't mean we can't be displeased when we see it play out again. It's easy for the opposition because all they need to do is the same thing all afternoon because we're not going to try anything different to shock/surprise them. Granted we came close, but it was all apologetic©. And this allows them to the opportunity to perhaps steal all points.

Then we enter the final ten minutes of the game. That's when we completely switch off, fall apart. It's getting a bit silly this. I still struggle to see a leader on the pitch. Pre-match huddles are over-rated. Can we not just pretend we're playing Chelsea every week?

78 minutes (Alcaraz). And again on 79 minutes (Gomez). Two massive misses from Wigan. Phews everywhere. Lucky escape you thought to yourself. So we let them have another go. 80 minutes (Rodallega), 0-1 Wigan.

Contrary to popular belief, it still exists.

Couple of chances to equalize (Niko, excellent save, Daws, another superb save), but what does it matter? Banana skin well and truly slipped on.

This is the 4th time (recently) so we are not quite grasping the resolution to this problem. Perhaps it was written in the stars, redemption for Wigan for last seasons humiliation and their nightmare start this term. And for one appearance only, the Tottenham Hotspur Charity (we give to the needy) decided to donate all three points. Bless us.

We had Kaboul at the death, easier to score. So he misses. But no scapegoats, the whole team and Harry need to get to grips once and for all why we stuttered and slumped. And Harry in particular needs to work hard on this. Tactics, they don't win you games, players do. So he says. Well, our players still have a chink in their armour that I'd rather not be seeing. And there's an argument that when the opposition do frustrate you, if you do happen to say, change the formation (and thus tactics) they might not be able to cope, what with the onus on the opposition to stop a renewed and different charge forward.

Losing at home to a side that we should never be dropping points too. We all didn't expect this because it was way too obvious for it to happen. And yet here we are about to knee-jerk (let's not).

Two home games, one point. Let's try not to do this after every CL game please. Because I reckon that's going to be the excuse for this shower of nothingness. It poured the other night against the Young Boys. It dripped today.

Wasted afternoon. Wasted for everyone other than the 60 away supporters who travelled down probably believing they would witness another spanking for their miserable side. Not so miserable today. Ridiculous is football. Champions League? You're 'aving a...I can't even be bothered.

This is not meant to be the way we roll.

Tactics

We have the players so lets see more of an in-game evolution of 442, to 433. It's going to be a necessary ploy for us in Europe. If a side is parking the bus, or hassling us, or whatever, there has to be a positive change. Harry has got it right before with substitutions, so I can't help thinking that we are still, somewhat, slightly fragile. We appeared to be - as eleven players - one predator that couldn't quite muster up the effort to chase and kill its prey.

I wont knee-jerk because this type of performance will only happen 2 or 3 times a season - but that's potentially nine points lost. So, greedy as I am, I want to see it eradicated from our match-day make-up. Completely.

Individuals

No point singling out and criticising anyone in particular tbh. It was a collective fudge up. Everyone was low-key, lacked urgency, no game-changer. Under-par all over the pitch.

Creative spark

We have plenty of players to supply one, so let's not be knee-jerking about Hudd or Bale or anyone else. As above, collectively, nobody was on-form today. Simple as that. Shame of course, that nobody was able to lift the team for that moment of inspiration. Because, its what the big teams do, even when they play crap. Not so big today Tottenham.

Wigan

They got their own tactics spot on. Considering they took all three points in similar fashion to how we lost them last season in the same ilk of depressive defeats. Talking of which...

Wolves, Hull and Stoke and now Wigan

No more. Breaking down these types of teams appears to be our main gripe. Taking all the good things into account, the fact we can beat Arsenal, Chelsea then City with the pressure on (end of last season), but fail when we're favourites to win at home against a side inferior to us proves there's still an issue.

Redknapp post-match

He called it a rare day. And I agree. It's good we can name and shame disappointing games because they don't came around often any more. Let's not forget that. But like I've said already, it's not excusing it because if we want to push on, we can't afford to be baffled too often, especially on our own patch.

Enjoy the bank holiday. Hopefully we'll see some game-changing new signings arrive to help with restoring a smile or two on our frowning faces.

COYS, hugs and stuff.

i will admit i booed today and i will tell you why and open your ears when i say this cos most of you who think that having a go at players who are paid 60 70 80k a week put in a display of sub par bollocks against a team that has shipped 10 goals in 2 games is ok then take up knitting......... we have a midfield in tommy willy and arron and bale who today played their wost game for the club...they was off the pace devoid of ideas and again did not no how to break down a team like wigan but are expected to break down the likes of an inter milan......the players are not your wives or girlsfrinds so me aving go is not like i just fucked either your mum or girlfriends so get a fucking grip....Tommy wasutter toilet gave the ball away way to many time and was well off the pace..... wilson is no more than a squad player at best and has gone backwards....arron lennon cant cross cant pass and did not move up the line to create space.........long ball to crouch boring...back to goal football it utter bollocks.... we had no fluid movement..no leader in the middle of the park no world class center forward and before you say crouch scored 3 goals in the weeks so would i given the space he had and the fact he was 3 foot taller than most on the pitch......for us to be a world class team and we are way off that we need to have passion pride steel desire and formation and game plan to out wit the likes of wigan.....so if i want to boo when i watch that bollocks like it did today i will and you can kiss my arse....ive paid for my europe tickets i paid for the season ticket i paid for all the shirts which i cant have yet and i got the video all i ask is for the tottenham player to play the game they are paid for....

Too many long balls to Crouch. Team seemed to think that if we took the easty optiuon and lumped it in there, we were bound to score.
No central midfielder following up into box.
Dos Santos useless on right, again. Always cuts in and has to pass square.
Second half better but the opportunity and initiative had aleready been lost.
Thought we had learnt, last season, that it's not a good idea to start with Crouch. Now we're doing it again.

use the kids to play against shit teams!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why put them all on loan, we need fresh legs now.

Aug 28, 2010 at 10:47 PM | Unregistered CommenterDevon Yid

once again this shows why we need a world class player.

Aug 28, 2010 at 10:53 PM | Unregistered CommenterPristar

It was a horrible performance and Harry and the lads should be ashamed of themselves for the disgraceful display of shite we were forced to watch today.

As south upper points out we need to step it up to get to the next level:

We don't have a world class finisher and that is a problem. Truth is against a team like this we should go into halftime with at least a couple of goals.

Even so I still believe in Harry and this squad and if we do get out of this transfer window with some more talent we can do great things. I have seen enough class and grit out of this team to know that it makes no sense whatsoever to knee-jerk. COYS!!!

Aug 28, 2010 at 10:56 PM | Unregistered Commenternycyid

Why are you giving credit to a team who looked like they where all in bed against Blackpool and in intensive care against Chelsea .. So what have Wigan done to play so well change there goalkeeper and bought a relegated defender lost there best players nzogbia and Moses and triumphed . You need to ask questions not about our team but Wigan's new fitness levels. Because this his a blue print of stoke Wolves Burnley Hull Sunderland they all raised there fitness levels even Young Boys ran an extra five miles on there plastic. send your answers on a post card to Ukad drug testing agency and they will tell you what they stupidly told me Ephedrine or its nickname 451 pressing with shock spooky i thought you where a clever lad when loads of athletes dipped under 10 seconds loads failed drug tests. we are having loads of shocks last year and this year the reason high pressing energised teams simple but a lot harder to prove because of energy drinks mascking 451 shocks

Aug 28, 2010 at 10:58 PM | Unregistered Commentertherumourman

And to clarify I'm not suggesting that anyone here is knee-jerking at all.
South Upper is right to point out that we have EVERY right to criticize Spurs when they play like this. Watching crap like today from a team that is streets ahead of this kind of performance is absolutely justified.
I'm just saying I ain't giving up
Not implying that anyone else is either ...

Aug 28, 2010 at 10:59 PM | Unregistered Commenternycyid

Ignore everything I said and just go with the rumourman. He's on the money.

Aug 28, 2010 at 11:06 PM | Registered Commenterspooky

Pristar - agreed. That's one thing we don't have. Arguably, don't have.

Aug 28, 2010 at 11:08 PM | Registered Commenterspooky

Davspurs, who do you think you're fooling calling yourself rumourman?

Aug 28, 2010 at 11:10 PM | Unregistered Commenternycyid

You can boo if you like - just realise that when we qualify for Europe's elite competition for the first time in 50 years and are all in raptures on a Wednesday and then have a (massive and extremely wasteful and disappointing) off day on the Saturday and pricks like you boo the team off, you make us all look like the bunch of fickle mugs that our rivals are so fond of calling us.

Support the team. We haven't had it so good in most of our lifetimes. We can all spend the money and cheer when the going's good. We don't need mugs who want to boo at the first sign of trouble. There's a space for you at Dubaibury.

Aug 28, 2010 at 11:11 PM | Unregistered Commenterwestandup

Reading westandup's post made me realize that I actually somehow missed your first sentence, south upper, and I do agree on the booing.
Criticize all you want but booing ain't cool. Especially at WHL. Does make us look like twats. Of course it is a free country etc. and do what you like but probably not the best way to vent your--understandable--frustration.

Aug 28, 2010 at 11:17 PM | Unregistered Commenternycyid

Spooky, 442 to 443?

So it was Cudicini's fault for not getting forward more?

OK, whatever.

Aug 28, 2010 at 11:23 PM | Unregistered CommenterRisley County

I like Spooky's 4-4-3 formation...could give us the edge!

I watched some of the Arse game at Blackburn earlier. Major difference between them and us is that they always had 3 players pressing the opposition when they didn't have the ball, with another 3 waiting to change the point of attack when they won it back. They played all over the park as a unit.

We played a sort of 6-2-4 formation with about 30 yards between the CM's/defence and the forwards, with the only plan being a big hoof up the field. This meant that when Wigan won the ball they could immediately press our back 4 as they had loads of space to move into.

Harry has to change the way we play, not just at home, but all the time. Now people have seen Bale he is wasted at LM as the opposition just show him down the line; much better at FB from where he can make unexpected runs and be more effective.

Having 2 wide players that just stay wide is a waste of resources. The front 6 should be playing as a unit all over the pitch and pressing the opposition into mistakes and forcing opportunities. That means sometimes playing wide and sometimes through the middle. Huddlestone for all his 30-yard passes is completely ineffective. If he is going to play he needs to be box to box, creating chances with 5 yard passes and shooting from closer than 50 yards.

With now new players likely, or even with new players, Harry has to get up-to-date with the tactics otherwise we just go backwards.

Aug 28, 2010 at 11:23 PM | Unregistered CommenterDaveK

Agree with all above. Ive never seen so many balls played backwards as today!!! Creativity, where the f### was it!! Arron "backwards Lennon" - It was a disgrace. But why?

1.We do not have the mental strength to do it every week like Chelsea, Man U and Ars, we simply do not have it and we must come to terms with that...............

2. We are f###ing arrogant!! We beat a bunch of no hopers in the week, we start believing we are world beaters, bring on Real Madrid, Inter Milan and all that shit and we lose site of the bigger picture. Crouch again with the biggest f##### mouth to match he ability off the pitch - and on it for that matter!! The players must realise that the league is as important, if not more important than the Euro cup!!

3. Harry did not do his bit this week. he did not knock the arrogant crap out of the players Thursday morning and before the game!!

4. Lost site of reality- we have 6 games in the Euro cup - then we will probably be out - by then we find ourselves mid table and then what?? - .........its a very quick slippery slope if we do not maintain the form, i can assure you!!!

5. We do not have the depth in strength. Palacios is the championship player i always thought he was. Why on earth would you ant to play him today, against Wigan for Goids sake!!! He is a liability and better teams will walk around him or get him sent off! We need a world class forward and quick, We also need a right back, both Kabul and C-Luka will be exposed by better teams!!

From the above, i beleive the biggets problem is our arrogance and inability to turn in 100% performances week in and week out!! We are way behind the best teams in mental strength and this is down to Harry and his staff - get that winning mentality and the creative thinking to break teams like Wigan down!! Shit, we have had enough practise now!!

Aug 28, 2010 at 11:24 PM | Unregistered Commenterhotspurs

.........and what happened to the old 1-2 on the edge of the box - could we not simply try something new instaed of those ling 40m-50m balls into the box- did the team realise the Crouch had been substituted- hello!!!!

What about fre kicks, Kabul, for fucks sake - do me a favour!! Dont we practise free kicks in training. can't we think of something original. We lined up for free kicks today with the whole bloody team around it. Look at Ars around the edge of the box, watch what they do - yeh, im angry - so what - it hurts!!!

Its time to tell you who i discovered not shagging his team mated girlfriend but who was using energy to play like Wigan. To the upper south stand your has thick has al
Lincolnshire sausage. I bet you Wigan fans where saying we are useless we need a striker we cant piss or dribble the ball Blackpool rocked us Chelsea pensioned us off . When we beat them 9-1 they beat Sunderland 1-0 they stayed up and got hammered 8-0 by Chelsea. Wake up its happening every week the more desperate the team the more bad headlines the moreshocks happen this week its our turn to get shocked . If we had played Wigan last week we would have won by a big score. If Football his so simple all you do is play 451 get fitter so you can press for 90 mins then we are all getting conned by spending Millions on players who get beat by cheaper models. Levey his right to keep hhis money in the bank because new players are not the answer better drug testing his the problem is how do you tests 17 energised players. This his why we will have to except shocks will happen and if you feel like i do hurt then think about this if i can forecast a team like Wigan can beat our team an have some of you dismantling or best squad for years then my hurt is twofold because i was told what i already new Ephedrine is rife. Qares the Portugal manager and one time right hand man of the don Ferguson has bean suspended for stopping drug testers from testing his players culminating in Nani getting sent home with a mysterious shoulder injury and not because he was getting protected by his ex man utd back room staff Nani his back to his old self playing like his clone Ronaldo another portugal protected star its funny Nani and Ronaldo and Rooney where rubbish these and many more are some the questions you should be asking and then Wigan wont be such a big shock.playing a high tempo five man midfield pressing game Blackpool won and Chelsea with the same 451 with better players its this we eed to learn and his being used by the special one or his he the illegal one lovemaking at the way inter beat barca i have me doubts . Dont kill our team because of energy cheats or we are sunk

Aug 28, 2010 at 11:45 PM | Registered Commenterspooky

I am still waiting for that brilliant huddlestone everybody talks about to emerge. It should have been his game today, controlling the middle and dispatching left and right. But where was he? It's not enough for me for a player to be stylish. How many of Hud's passes go astray, how often does he loose possession... how often does he score? Just caressing the ball nicely on a cross-field pass once in a while should not be enough for us to proclaim our adoration for him.

The reason we play long ball is because there is no creativity in the middle. I was over the moon just yesterday, so this is perhaps a knee jerk reaction, but apart from that first half against City I have not found us that great this season. Harry talks about how we don't need to strengthen the squad- look again Harry and buy soon! Let's hope it gets better and that the likes of Hud, Wilson and BAE play to their full potential.

I suggest that Knappy and Levy should find themselves flying over the cuckoo's nest, and actually pay that "crazy money" for Fabiano and Lass as well. We need strength clearly, our bench was looking great last season when we were working for Top 4, but now we must press on and aim higher, so bring in the Klass if we have to, but just make it happen whatever it is.
I woke up feeling as if we could take on Arsenal today, after the match I'm not sure if we could take on AFC Wimbledon.
Anyway, I tell myself that was one of the very few slip ups we'll see in a long, long time.

If we were half as crap as some of you seem to suggest it would be a lot easier to take this loss--but the painful fact is we are much better than what we saw today.
Of course we need to get better as we are ramping up etc and we need to buy more talent but we do have a lot of depth on the squad as is.

Aug 29, 2010 at 12:04 AM | Unregistered Commenternycyid

Huddlestone struggled today. They all did. We really suffer badly on days like this because its the whole team that under performs, not just the one player. We still lack something, but we proved last season we'll bounce back from this.

Speculate to accumulate. Splash the cash on a world beater. £15M or not. Just do it. It will make the difference.

Aug 29, 2010 at 12:08 AM | Unregistered CommenterShelf Side Warrior

Well said hotspurs. No mental strength but also no tactics and no winner's mentality. They don't do their best to win every game. They try to win only the important ones. Also we can't play in high tempo and pass the ball quickly and our tactics look like those of twenty years ago. They should watch every day the way Barcelona and Chelsea play in every game. Maybe they will learn something from that.

Aug 29, 2010 at 12:08 AM | Unregistered CommenterIoanX

It's important not to lag, but let's have some patience. This squad is reactive. We haven't stood still since Harry took over and I doubt they will shrug this off. We do however need an injection of something. Fabiano might be 'old' and expensive, but if he elevates us we'll get the money back in terms of more success in the league and progression in the CL.

We need an extra spark. A Klinsmann. A Berbatov.

Don't ask me who because I'm spent on ideas.

I really hope this isn't a case of players becoming complacent due to CL. I didn't see the game, only the highlights on MOTD as I was working.
The way we have been defending of late (YB 1st leg, Stoke and now Wigan) just goes back to a couple of years ago where we enter this self destruct mode and I really don't get it. Where is the structure? where is the common sense? and why the FUCK does ekotto persist of pissing around at the back with the ball??!! Seriously!! Every game he does it now and I think he is becoming a player who is too big for his boots without the skill to match. Some games, yes he can play a blinder, but we must be able to do better than him? He's too clumsy and at times brainless. I think since Bale has been on the scene, he's trying too much as he's seen the praise Bale gets.
I know everyone has said it but I'm gonna say it anyway because I want my turn. We need to get a player who can finish. I'm not even talking about a world class player. Just a player who can finish. We miss so many easy chances I think Harry really should start putting his misses on the team sheet. I know we destroyed YB the other day, but against a team who, lets be honest, defended terribly, but how many chances are we gonna get against the like of Inter. I not gonna be the optimist and say we're gonna beat them, chances are we won't, but we need to give them a game, and considering goal difference could be difference between group stages and bye bye, then we need to start taking/creating for chances and sort it out in defence and stop making these gaps and losing players.
I really hope that this is just a blip and next week we can put it all behind us at West Brom
COYS!!!! ..............please

It's not rocket science that the team werent pumped up today. Harry and his coaches havn't sent out the team prepared for a very important 3 pointer and the shame lies with them.
Lennon might as well had his 'cigar' with him as he wasn't interested.I forgot that Defoe was playing for a full half hour in the second half. He'd dissapeared. BEA and Palacious made stupid mistakes. Fuck me does anyone coach these assos.
If the way this team passed the ball today (and last Wednesday night) is anything like what we are to expect for the remainder of the season, we can all forget it now., as it's not good enough. Harry needs to have this team ready FOR EVERY MATCH, not just the big matches. Fergie or Wenger wouldn't slip up in these circumstances, but Harry and his coaches seem to slip up when we all think it's 3 points in the bag. They need to sort it out immediately.

Aug 29, 2010 at 12:46 AM | Unregistered Commentercookiebun

I wonder what Redknapp would say if it becomes something like 3 pts in 8 games. Of course, this seems inconceivable but he and his merry team of coaches better figure out an effective game plan to cope with our mid-week exertions against the best in Europe.

Aug 29, 2010 at 3:14 AM | Unregistered Commenterdocomospur

A few observations:-

1. Why do we never learn from our mistakes of our strikers?

a) Pavlyuchenko cannot play well with Defoe. He can sometimes play well with Keane. We need to bolster the fire power.

b) Defoe is not on form. Why didnt he go for surgery? Silly.

c) Why didnt we start with Keane? Maybe Crouch and Defoe need to rest after the CL game. Perhaps we underestimated how much energy it saps from a player to play in such a match.

d) We really really need to bolster our firepower.

2. Cudicini is a liability and past it. I was at the game with Man U last season at home. He was bad. He is still bad. We need to bolster our backup for GK.

We will continue to lose games like these with him in goal. It may be stating the obvious, but we should not waste one of our precious 25 slots for him.

3. We can forget about being title contenders. The real title contenders will never, ever lose such games. At home. They would lose to each other, and maybe Man City.

4. HR needs to re-think how to better use players and better tactics.

a) Dos Santos is left legged. Why is he on the right wing? He cannot cut in. He plays well "in the hole".

b) When we pulled off BAE, Bale did not track back. He was nowhere for the three attempts which Rodallega went down their right. This is not good. Perhaps he is also tired. See comment for 1(c) above.

BAE didnt have a brilliant game, but he covered that part of the field.

c) Why wasnt Wilson taken off? He was all action but not effective at all. Plenty of side-passing. His role is to stop play, not create. That should be done by Huddlestone. If teams come to park the bus, and if we need to create play, then why not replace Wilson with Kranjar? In fact, why not start Kranjar in place of Modric?

d) Lennon seemed scared of going down the right wing and kept straying into Bale's territory. Why is that?

I may be (slightly) off the mark with some of these comments, and I welcome any critique. However, I dont like to see same mistakes repeated. If anyone agrees with me and is in a position to surface these to anyone in charge, I would be most grateful. I would like to enjoy our CL campaign, and would rather watch us lose 3-2 in an exciting game, instead of being hit with a sucker-punch counterattack after an evening of unintelligent play.

Been a long time reader, first time poster.

Very disappointed, wall punching disappointment. If it isn't the Dawson air raids, these days its pass it to Bale. Where's variation in play? Note to Harry, I think the PL is catching on with this tactic. Why didn't Niko start with Hudd?

For all the possession, the number of corners (16 to 7 was it?), there was none of that cutting edge finishing that the Top 3 should/would have. Granted the Midweek CL game would have sapped a bit of energy, but they played without even a flicker of a flame in the bellies.

We could say this is a one off, but judging from this lacklustre display, its going to happen again. Mark my words. We cannot afford to lose at HOME to these teams. I would have taken a draw, not this. Credit to Wigan for sticking to the game plan and getting something out of it.

Harry, please get a world class striker in before it's too late. And please deploy the right players in the right position.. play to their strengths. You say Bale is best suited as a leftback, where the hell was he when BAE went off? Twist Defoe's ear and send him off to the surgery room, pull Palacios aside and give him a good telling off... i don't know what to do with BAE but do something before he embarrasses himself again.

Back to the drawing board then.. COYS!

1. Re. lets not knee jerk: Spooky it isn't a knee jerk reaction, as you yourself cite the games against stoke, wolves, hull etc. last season. The sample population is sizeable and we continue to repeat the same kind of behaviours.

The difference is that this season, we will not get away with it, the margin for error is less. Citeh are turning into a defensively formidable team (v italian), the bindippers will (probably) be better. Add into the mix, that the CL games will be draining, so don't feel bad referring to CL hangovers.

I dared to do & mocked the football gods yesterday with my halcyon 5-1 prediction. Truth is, i was being celebratory, i really thought we would bang a couple of goals in & job done. Gutting. My Uncle Del, always says it
like it is, at the best of times "He ain't got control of them, they were out on the piss, what a f****** shower". The big D is always harsh, but lets face it, resilient performance (expected & accepted) aside by Wigan, we couldn't score at home against a team Blackpool shafted 4-0. Unacceptable Shit.

Throw Gallas on and ask him to fuck everybody on the field, maybe than they wouldnt dare give a sub standard performance. When will Sandro come on, he should replace Willy, till Willy grows back to his normal self.

Crouch is useless in the primier league maybe Champions Lague, but not EPL. So fuckin' playin KEANO! Are you all not noticing the Keane - Pav partnership!

2. re. Dav Rumour, brief spell as a cyber lady on here last season, ephedrink Spurs.

Do you think there are rival sites last this, saying that our lot were on bet 365 shandies against Ars & Chavski last season?

"For Gods sake Steve, play another record!"

Absolute Mash. A day to reflect does not diminish the feeling of absolute depression. Stupid, Careless, sloppy, inexcusable, unintelligent, uninspired, complacent. The moment when we got a free kick at the edge of the box towards the end of the game was the encapsulation of everything that went wrong. Extreme right edge of the box, hudd and someone else standing over it, Gio unmarked in acres of space on the left towards the middile of the box. Nobody in front of him, an empty goal to fire into as Al-Habsi was on the extreme right, in sight of both the free-kick takers, and Hudd tries to curl it around the RIGHT side of the wall into the goal. To put it logically, the ball would have to curl around the wall and then jerk 90 degrees to the left in mid-air. And even then, Habsi had it comfortably covered. Absolute caveman stupidity from a man who we like to call 'the new Glenn Hoddle'.
