Deadline Transfer Day Special

Sang to the melody of My Way (original lyrics by Paul Anka and sang by the legend that is Frank Sinatra). You'll have to do with your own voice in this instance as Ol' Blue Eyes is otherwise engaged.

In celebration of transfer deadline day. Its been a quiet under-stated January. There's not that much to sing about.

And now the end is near
And so we face the final ticker
Sky Sports will say it's clear
They'll state he's signed to which they're certain

But no, he never signed
They made it up it's jack-a-nory
And more, much more than this
Sky Sports News is just pony

Keano, he's had a few
Not least Liverpool, but let's not mention
He did what he had to do
And we saw him flop with out-right distinction

He went to his boyhood club
Rafa showed no love he was no Stevie Heighway

He's ruined, much more than that
He's gone to Celtic

Yes there were times, I'm sure you read
When the ITK community bit off more than they fed
He's on his way, oh no he's not,
He's having a medical, or perhaps he's not
And they all made it up...as per usual

I've sighed, I've cried and cried
I've cried my fill, it's like Chimbonda
And now as tears fail to subside
I don’t find it at all convincing

To think we wanted more
And may I say a f*cking lot more
But no, oh no, my God
We've re-signed Younes Kaboul...

For what is a Spurs fan what has he got
If not a DVD then he has not
To see Sandro or Ruud Van Nist
And not some ex-Chelsea from the French Riv
The official website shows the tabloids blow
In the Knows are just pony...

Yes, In the Knows are just pony…

Happy Deadline Transfer Day people. Enjoy your evening. Don't stay up too late.

er no....even if keane scored 30 goals in the rest of the season, moving to celtic is a sure sign that he is totally shot. Please just accept that Keane has lost it. If he does well, its only cos its the scottish league, and if he does badly.....well then it truly is over. He will perform averagely at Celtic, then move there permanently for a nominal fee in the summer. I don't 'hate' him, I just realise that he is shit. Maybe he was good, but reputation counts for nothing. Personally I think he's been on borrowed time ever since Hoddle left but there you go. Berbatov's arrival gave a false reflection of Keane's effectiveness. He's a classic big fish in a small pond type. Should have stayed at Coventry! Yeah he was great for us when we were flapping in non mans land of mid table, but he is not a top 6 player. Never really established himself at Leeds as a every time starter.

'dip in form'? More like a fucking gaping chasm. I know Keane has his fans, but come on...look objectively at how he has performed since his 15mil transfer back to spurs, and it has been truly terrible. And his status as captain and 1st choice replacement in attack has meant that we have had fuck all impact from our attacking subs for the last 4 months. He has handicapped the side beyond belief. We saw that even a half fit Pav who hasn't played for years has more impact that Keane. Please stop making excuses for him and call it how it is - Keane has been shit, and a millstone round the neck of the team. He is a 15 mil white elephant. A major reason why we have been unable to get over the line in a lot of games this season has been because of the poor quality of our sub's performances, Keane and JJ bein prime candidates. They add nothing to the team when they do come on.

I hope even Keanes staunchest fans acknoledge his 15 mil purchase as a colossal waste of money.

What a difference 18 months makes - Keane has gone from cult hero to now playing for his "other" favorite boyhood team and doesn't look antying like player that made him a fans favorute. I have thought all season that he appears to just be going through the motions and hasn't even bothered with his flapping around.

I thought he was exceptional against France in Paris and although you should never judge a player on one game he looked far from washed up. So maybe he goes to Celtic scores a shite load, gets his mojo back and then his return will be like signing a brand new player. I am not convinced and I have to say even though we aparently got a 1m up front this does look a tad risky because if he doesnt score a Laarson quantity of goals his value will drop drastically.

How much of this is due to HR thinking he is a bad influence on the dressing room when not playing (which he wont on current form) and the Dublin incident we will never know!

Keane might have turned from hero to zero and it's a shame he'll be remembered for the final chapter rather than what came before, but I for one have to admit to feeling a little empty with his departure. Celtic fans are happy because they know their a class level below the EPL. So Keane will have a field day up there.

Unforrtunately I have to agree with Chrisman....
The presense of Jenas in the sub's bench by itself has cost has the Premiership title....!

keane played great in Paris against France...again, its the big fish in small pond syndrome. He's by some distance Ireland's best outfield player, and plays with that confidence.
