Open invite to Spurs and Arsenal fans to discuss the NLD

No King, Dawson, Woodgate, half-fit van der Vaat, Defoe and Lennon back from injuries blah blah blah...we had the reserves out today.

2-0 down, 3-2 up. Tottenham. Tactical masterpiece that to play so woefully in the first half to allow them a comfortable lead to then carve 'em up in the second. It's how we roll.

Posted in the match thread over at GG.co.uk at half-time. BELIEVE.

Worth a DVD that I reckon. Not of the game, got that on Sky+. Would prefer Two hours of Wenger on the touchline taking a dump and smashing up bottles and the progressive misery gradually appearing on the faces of all the gloating Arsenal fans in the stands. Which reminds me. Gooners who texted/called/tweeted me during the game. Where you all gone chaps? Don't fret, there's always the Carling Cup.

According to Wenger, the scum lost it due to lack of concentration. It's a mystery apparently. Scooby-doo at the ready. Have to agree though, if the game is won on stats, they should have won it. So technically, they did. Congrats. Made up for you.

Anyways, Gooners - would love to hear your thoughts considering you're always willing to share yours when we lose and you lot win. Just an admittance that you're not that great should cover it.

Proper match report on Sunday/Monday. Peace out, enjoy the evening.

As I recall a toe rag according to Orwell in 'down and out' was the cloths tramps used to wrap round their feet instead to socks. So it is quite similar in origin to blood cloth or ras cloth and as a mild insult can be used interchangably. Come On You Spurs!!

Here's an interesting thought.

1. In recent times, we have beaten Chelski, L'Arse and Liverpool. Even Man City. But not Manure. Is it bad luck, a psychological barrier we cannot break through, or something else?

2. And how come we almost always get Howard Webb or Clattenburg as referee for the games at Old Trafford? And they always manage to get it wrong, but Manure always benefit.

I dont like conspiracy theories because it cannot be proven and also because it sounds like an excuse for a poor performance, but having seen our performances in the last few years:-

a) it would be disappointing if we are not in the top 6 end of this season; If we are to crack the top four again, we need everyone to contribute. At key points last season, Bentley, Pav, Corluka, Krancjar, even Eidur all played their part to score goals and win points. So when VdV needs to rest (for example), we can rest assured that Niko and come in and do the same if not better job for us. Magic question is how can we do that when he's not even playing? If not him, then who else do we have?

b) on our day, we can beat anyone. Anyone. ANYONE.

c) all the self-doubt and lack of belief is somehow replaced by expectation that we should win every game we play. This is very good progress.

d) we must be aware of teams who have sussed us out and have learnt to nullify us. Everton, Wigan and West Ham this year, Wolves and Stoke last year. We must learn to be creative and overcom their negativity. I refuse to believe, as was alluded to by "Mediawatch" in F365 that Phil Neville is better than our Bale. He needed to "sandwich" Bale with Coleman or double team onto him in order to stop him. We need to learn to create alternatives when he is effectively blocked.

e) we must learn to keep clean sheets. When was our last one, in all comps, this season? Was it Young Boys at home? Is it purely the absence of Dawson / King / Woodgate or something else? We had so many clean sheets last season.

f) I am so impressed with our resolve and mental strength. Something unheard of in the last decade or so.
