The Panther of the Lane

A bullish, battling, determined midfielder bossing the centre of the park. And he's wearing a lilywhite shirt.

It's amazing what they can do with a bit of CGI nowadays.

Thanks to tobjr for the video.

UPDATE: Video is down at the moment, removed by Youtube due to copyright issues, so will re-link once its available.

£14M well spent. For once.

Class act. I wonder if Fergie has watched this yet?

At long last a classy ball winner in centre midfield.

Was class act at Wigan and will be a class act at Spurs. I usually cringe at these type of fan videos with the soundtrack and silly replays of much a do about nothing. This one simply illustrated what a difference having someone who can play patrolling the midfield.

We have spent how many millions over the years? Carrick is the only name in recent years and we never replaced him.

I think we finally have a replacement (if not an exact replacement).

He'll be bought by one of europes biggest clubs in 1.5 years.
Enjoy him while he wants to be with us.

Next time, can we use CGI to show us what a 1-0 win against Arsenal would look like?

Loved some of his crunching tackles on Sunday. Doesn't give away too many free kicks either.

Great debut, but Denilson, Eboue and Song aren't exactly Fabregas, Rosicky and Walcott...or Arshavin for that matter.

But hey, at least Nasri was playing.

Hit the ground running. If some of our other players can match his ferocity we'll be ok by a mile.

First time reader. First time contributor. Two truths told here, one, Palacious is fantastic and will be snapped up by a Champions League club very shortly (Anon 12 Feb) and two; you're a "cock". This rebuke of Daniel Levy is a joke. Would you prefer to have some rich Arab or Russian who sees the club as another toy to even a West Ham model... eek! The grass isn't always greener my friends...

You'll find you need to do a lot of reading between the lines here.

Spooky is pro-Levy. All this started off as a piss take of the kneejerking faithful over at Glory Glory.

Fergie has seen him already if you look at Man utd vs Wigan you will see Wilson walk Carrick and leave both him and Ronaldo on the grass not from fiersom tackles but precision work and shielding of the ball we have a new leader atthe lane!!!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_OagG9opmjo&feature=related

Missed the corner where Song turned him inside out!!!!!

Wow, I knew he had a good game but this just shows how great of a passer and tackler he is. Can't wait to see him and O'Hara play together. with their tackling and good feet, they are the future of the club. I think there is no question of our midfield now with modric just behind two strikers and WilPal patrolling just behind him.

Seems like YouTube have removed it due to copyright issues. Which is laughable considering how much copyrighted stuff can be found on it.

It's being uploaded to another site, so will link to it once its there.
