Another massive massive game

Everton away. Considering how Villa and City got on yesterday and the fact that if we're serious about competing for a top 4 place - I can't see anything less than 3 points as being an acceptable result today. King of the understatements. Everton are depleted.

Heitinga (suspended).

Anichebe, Areta, Jagielka, Neville, Vaughan all injured.

Distin, Gosling, Yobo, Jo, Osman...all doubtful.

I'll be disappointed if we go there, under-perform and lose. I'll be disappointed if we go there and fail to capitalise on their plight. I'll be disappointed if we don't win convincingly. I'm not asking for the moon on a stick here. Show the same intent we had in the Villa (second half) game, and we'll be all smiles come the final whistle.

Big test of our mental strength this. Considering the lack of sustained effort against the Utd reserves in the cup. Take the game to them, boss possession and pick 'em off. There's no doubt Moyes will have his side giving it 100% so - if you abide by the Laws of Hope - you'd think we'd be able to tell our class show.

As for Harry, who's he gonna  pick? Huddlestone or Jenas? Keane or Crouch?

I'll start Huddlestone and let him quarter-back his way through the game, spraying balls to his hearts content. Niko has to be certainty. And personally, I'd stick Crouchie up front with JD and let the Everton defence worry about the tall man little man combo.

This season is going to be tight, and these are the types of tests we need to pass with flying colours.

COYS and all that jazz.

With Ref to Gonerjunk and his insecent ramblings, I have to say I find the above is oddly familiar.

I tend to peruse another (rather quieter these days) forum which had a crossover banter board for all comers (yes, we have resident spurs, goons and a spammer). The site itself used to have the odd decent debate as well as a reasonable attempt at mudslinging as well.

And then the 'Swede' turned up, a gooner unsurprisingly, who started mouthing off about all sorts of things. Most of which involved goats and didn't make sense.

We tried reasoned logical debate, swearing, evn simply taking the 'assumed posture' that the media would have us at as all being one type.

But even this did not penetrate the insane ramblings of a chap who clearly was in need of some form of help.

I should point out that (like many here) I have family from both the right and the wrong side of the tracks, I have also met a few goons who, in their own quirky and mis-guided way, can be quite amusing.

However, the lesson I learnt from having to put up with such an individual was to simply ignore him. I wouldn't acknowledge his existence in the real world, so why try and reason with him on a blog. He can no more understand my point than he would ever actually want to understand my point, for that was not his purpose.

I do believe in the freedom of speech, (as much as I believe in the freedom to ignore it) but some people are confusing a priviledge with a right and are abusing such a freedom.

At the end of the day GJ has to exist in his own little world, and he seems happy enough with that (and who knows maybe it's better than having to deal with his own reality), so post away my little gooner ball of ineptitude and be happy that most here will ignore knowing that they are the better people (with clearly more impecible taste).

Cliff has tried to educate you, but clearly to no avail, he may continue, he may realise that it is an exercise in futility, but I can't fault him for trying at least, after all I made the same mistake once.

LMAO. Mate, I provided logical debate before. What was the reply? Spooky said "LOL", Cliffytits posted some poems, and the rest of you said stuff like "EH FUCK OFF U GOONER". Not exactly Oxford Uni Debating Society is it? I mean just now Cliffytits is accusing me of not "having the balls" to reply to something that I did reply to! And he calls me delusional! PMSL.

That's the problem innit? Make out how smart and "impecible" (LOLOLOLOLOL) you all are, how this is a place for reasonable discussion. But nah, you'd rather do the myopic moaning about Sky wouldn't you? Much easier! And cos I've got a Gooner in my name, I'm the one in the wrong when it's transparently obvious to anyone with a couple of brain cells to rub together that Cliffytits can't sustain a logical argument to save his life. That's why he posts badly written faux flowery rants about the Beeeeeeeeeeg 4 instead innit! But we won't mention that... he's trying to "educate me". LMFAO.

You Yiddos, the delusions of grandeur know no limits do they? ROFLMAO

Thanks, belgian spur and Tricky, and you're both right, there really is no getting through to such a prize prawn. Good point, too, about responding to someone on a blog when you wouldn't give such a twerp the time of day in real life. I'll be calling a permanent halt to posting anything directly to him from now on. Mind you, I do find amusing how so often, without him being directly addressed, he still responds, as if his old subconscious identifies and recognises himself and must out.

It's like he reads a post that doesn't specifically mention his name but uses words such as dork, twerp, idiot, imbecile, berk and so on, and a kind of light, even if largely dim, goes on in that gormless, largely empty thing resting heavily on his shoulders and starts flashing out: 'That's me they're talking about.'

Try posting a couple of examples - he can't resist it.

Even in this lastest fantasy positng of his, he just can't help himself, putting the words 'educate me' in double inverted commas, not single, a kind of implicit admission that it's an impossible task.

The jerk even believes his attempted response to my challenge regarding wanting Spurs to win was covered by his earlier gibberish, when all he really wanted in that instance was United to lose, not the same thing at all from our self-proclaimed mastermind. And guess what, you bet that would be because first and foremost it served Arsenal's interests.

LMAO LMAO LMAO. Double inverted commas!!! They call 'em quotation marks mate. People tend to use 'em when they are quoting someone... which.. erm is what I woz doin liiiike. I love the little psych analysis, but commas are a bit different, they're those things we use to separate clauses in sentences, like, this, get, me? Apparently using correct syntax reveals your deep inner fears - in Cliffytits' world anyway. ROFL

Lovin' your the bit about actually wanting Man Utd to win also. Which was... y'know... exactly the same as wanting Spurs to win. Hopefully the fella that don't even understand rudimentary grammar ain't gonna try and explain the difference there. PMSL.

Hope you enjoyed my lastest (LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL) fantasy! No worries though lad cos I'm sure some fellow Yiddos will be along to pat you on the back and say how correct you are in a few hours. LMFAO.

Delete that extraneous ,,the,, lads... slip of the keyboard obviously! I put the offending word in double commas here so you will know what I am referring to obviously. ROFLMAO.

I rest my case, belgian spur and Tricky, and not one posting but two, just as if to confirm and compound the point.

You have to admit, it's irresistible - he even predicts people will come along and rubbish his stuff for being.....rubbish?

And what about the hilarious attempt to mark the English? Honestly, you could't make this stuff up, you really couldn't. He comes back with utter gibberish about quoation marks - he's obviously never heard of them being called the 'inverted comma', a single being traditional to indicate a quoation rather than the double, and the latter also called 'speech marks', but even allowing for that piece of grammatical tomfoolery, the actual words, even if it was a quotation, should have been: 'educate you', not 'educate me'.

Ah, there you have it, that old subconscious bursting forth.

You boys got nothing better to do? Watch some football FFS!

What at 8:30 in the morning whilst sat in front of a laptop 'working', not easy? as I have other things to do to avoid the aforementioned.

You inadvertently have a point lily though, I miss european football, the weeks just seem to drag a little longer every now an then, and watching the goons get stuffed by a team that didn't even look close to scoring in our pre-season game really isn't a substitute for watching my own team on those freezing nights at the lane, gentle warmed by a beer coat. It can't return quick enough for me!

Sorry about all that bollocks I was spouting last night. I was bored while waiting for mummy to dry my pissy sheets. (LOLLLOLOLOLOL0OOL)

Anyway, I'm off to meet Tarquin. We're going for a latte and then watching Fever Pitch again init. (LOLOLOOLLOOLLOOOL)

Only Cliffytits could give a sermon about the correct usage of "quoation marks"!!! Priceless!!! ROFLMAO
