Get it done

Sunderland away. The last of the difficult fixtures we have. Not a favourite away trip in recent years (although we won there last season). They always seem to dick us or we manage to dick ourselves. If I wish to flirt with negativity then I could (reluctantly) label this game as the very last one we can afford to drop points in. Won't be easy, will be physical. But its probably best we best the Mackems and take all three. Winning a game where perhaps most would admit to be content with a point would set us up perfectly for the remaining ones. It's probably more important to perform and win here than to worry about performing and winning next weekend against Chelsea in the cup semi-final. We're more likely to compete with them at Wembley, whereas today's game against Sunderland is far more pressured.

So in reality away from pre-match predictions, we can't afford to drop any points.

We've got a balanced side again with confident players and the belief is back. Martin O'Neils side is organised and committed. They are blowing hot and cold currently but any self-doubt from us we'll be duly punished for it. Got to be on form. If we win, 3rd is most definitely back on. If we don't then every game left is a cup final (to be hopefully accompanied by an actual cup final in May).

Norwich at home follows in a blink of an eye, so it's not just about mental strength but also physical. Harrry's selection and substitutions will be pivotal in navigating the momentum. And with that cup semi on its way, there's also game-by-game focus required from the players so please no day dreaming Tottenham. Get it done.

Bum <-- Squeaky time.

I'm nursing a hangover so, yeah, sorry about the lack of anything worthwhile in the article.

Hopefully will have some thing decent to write-up post-game.

Excuses Spooky...tut tut. And here's us thinking you dedicate your whole time to blogging.

Anyhoo, nervous as anything about this game (when aren't I?). It just has that air of stepping in a dog shit about it. You know when you just starting to feel good about things again, step out of your front door and tread in a turd. Then you have to spend time cleaning it off on the grass.

Fingers crossed and COYS! Spot the dog shit and side step it with swagger.

exactly the sort of game where its simply "do we want it ?".....look at where they are - if first 20 we snap into it - set tempo and win battles its ours - they will think sod this whats the point its spurs and they are keen as mustard ......if we amble around and let them think they are in it they will start to fancy it and think we can beat these fancy dans.........desire pure and simples....think we have it and awaiting confirmation this lunch time....

Unchanged line-up.

On one hand, I don't mind the unchanged line-up. We're creating more chances and we've been better at the back. On the other hand, I want Lennon in for Sandro. I guess with and other game on Monday, probably a good idea to give him another 30 minutes today and a start then. COYS..

Azza on last 30 mins.

1st half... I think Sunderland are very happy to soak up the pressure and try to wait to score on a set piece or some careless play in midfield...Sandro, I'm looking at you.... I think Harry will keep it the same to start the second half but I'd not be surprised to see Lennon on for Sandro if/when Sandro gets his yellow.

Awful game but I'll take the point.

Easter Saturday and we are third with a cup semi final to look forward to and the top team in London.
Could be worse :)

Could be worse? What you mean like Arsenal spanking The blue pretenders tomorrow and going two points clear. . . . With Chelsea bringing up the rear, we'll have ourselves an Easter Sunday shit-sandwich! Happy Easter

A tale of adwest schneca. yabradoe, aleb, ridcom and nav red trav-all guilty of poor finishing.
And bringing on fedeo with 10 minutes to go-too little too late. In summary, a pivotal (non)
result, especially as hecslea won today. Ever the optimist-except where Spurs are concerned.
On the bright side, Harry must 'read' the comments on this site, as we are looking a little more
dangerous at set pieces.

So are we still talking about 'Woolwich' or whatever or don't we think
We should talking about your own team and with 1 win in 6 league games
Is even 5th looking realistic?

Lazy, Incompetent, no confidence, clumsy, no control, headless, couldn't care less, looking forward to leaving in the close season. That's the manager and any players that another team come in for between May and the end of August. They are a mess.

good away point says I. Had this and Chavs away down as losses in my prediction extrapolation (say what now??) and we still finished 3rd......so we are actually up atm. Am concerned by HR's lack of faith in JD though, would rather he had 20 mins than 10 to try and rustle up a goal. Assume he is saving Lennon for the semi. Adebayor not the long term answer.

Way too much negativity on the Spurs sites this morning Yido's. You'll not find a pacifist in a fox hole. This is war gentlemen, the business end and we are very much involved. Scaredy cats should get out of the landing craft now. I for one intend to get as far up the beach as possible.
