We made the Italians cry

After watching this, you'll never be able to sit back and enjoy Gillette Soccer Saturday again, simply because it pales in comparison. Genius television. Even though I don't understand a word of Italian. Then again, you don't need to.

I dare you not to find this entertaining. Especially when Spurs score and when Ibra's is disallowed. If you don't have time to watch it all, forward to the 4:40 mark and then the 7:00 mark.

Enjoy.

These Italians need to get with the times.

That's our old badge in the background.

Amateurs.

In fairness, Foxy, it's a better badge. :)

That tv show is probably owned by Berlusconi too.

Spooky - that is genuinely brilliant.

Potential replacements for Grey and Keys?

Absolutely priceless, still got tears in my eyes!

Feb 16, 2011 at 12:33 PM | Unregistered CommenterEssexian76

if bale was fit i think we would have overun them in the first half probably 2-0.....gomes two saves world class and kept us in the game..as the 1st half went on we lost our spark and became predictable...half time they made one change and nearly won the match..we made no changes and nearly lost the match...half time substitute should have been defoe for crouch. defoes pace would have made it easire to pump the ball long as we got tired and troubled milans defence just like lennon...would have also got niko on for pienaar at half time because that would have thrown their game plan a little bit..i felt more and more frustrated by hr tactics as the game went on and we was lucky to get the win....we went their to play for a 0-0 nearly lost 2-0 and got a lucky 0-1.....coys

The difference between us Brits and the continentals is just about as big the space between the earth and the sun. That is GOLD television.

Simon, have a word with yourself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great game, great result.

Feb 16, 2011 at 12:48 PM | Unregistered CommenterTruYid

Certainly beats the likes of Charlie Nicholas and Phil Thompson!! This is so funny. Impartiality means nothing!

Feb 16, 2011 at 12:52 PM | Unregistered CommenterTonyRich

I'm not sure I've seen better footy TV. Absolutely priceless!

Also, Andy Gray would've loved that bird's tits bursting out....I did!

Feb 16, 2011 at 12:54 PM | Unregistered Commentermattspur

Goodness Simon. It was the right tactics all the way. Can I remind you that we were playing the top team in Italy, away - in front of a massive hostile crowd, in our first knockout champions league match, with half our squad injured, against a team with designs on winning the tournament, who have players that HAVE won it before and in a stadium where we went 4-0 down last time out? It is NOT easy. Defoe coming on would have been the wrong move. Even a 0-0 or 1-0 defeat would have been a decent result. We came away with 1-0 win - including an away goal. Tactics justified. May I remind you too that Bale has been injured for a few games now, and we have hardly suffered

Feb 16, 2011 at 12:58 PM | Unregistered CommenterTonyRich

he he he...hilarious video! Oh Simon, take a grip son. Hope you at least enjoyed part of the game. It was awesome from start to finish and Harry got it spot on tactically. Absolutely suffocated them and Pineear was need for his defensive capabilities.

Feb 16, 2011 at 12:58 PM | Unregistered CommenterDazspur

Simon sounds like he'd be pissed off even if he won £50m on the EuroMillions. Lighten up son!

I wanna see phil thompson on his knees crying.

soon.

Feb 16, 2011 at 1:23 PM | Unregistered Commentertricky

I think that Phil Thompson is already crying. 2 weeks ago you could see that he was auditioning for Andy Gray's job. He clearly has failed. My money is on Ray Wilkins getting Gray's job, although a bit too Chelsea biased.

Feb 16, 2011 at 1:45 PM | Unregistered CommenterTonyRich

I thought Ray Wilkins was superb last night. Was expecting him to be a bit biased with his Milan connection but he was spot on with just about everything. 1,000,000% improvement on that retard Alan Smith!

Feb 16, 2011 at 2:19 PM | Unregistered Commentermattspur

Yeh good shout Matt, Wilkins is an improvement on every pundit there is out there. Most games I turn the sound of and listen to some tunes as I cant stand listing to such drivel.

Feb 16, 2011 at 2:44 PM | Unregistered Commenteryidal

Mate I watched the game with made a similar comment re: Wilkins. Said tha you could tell he was a good manager as he was concise, very clear in what was happening and able to relate what was going on 'under the surface' of the team.

I thought he was excellent dispassionate and logical in analysis, veherement in derision for all the 'antics' and appreciative of good football.

Could it be that Cheleas biggest loss of the season is sky's gain.

Also thought that Harry and Jmie were gonna collapse and cry at one poin in a big 'father -son-we just beat milan moment'.

Feb 16, 2011 at 3:32 PM | Unregistered Commentertricky

Loved that Spooky... if only it had subtitles, now that would be comedy gold!

Feb 16, 2011 at 4:11 PM | Unregistered CommenterDY

Excellent entertainment, topped only by Barca thumping the Scum tonight. Stuck in the car today, their demented fans phoning in TalkSport reckoning how they'll turn them over. That halfwit Stewart Robson must have been smoking crack, coz he's written Barca off as the scum have 'improved so much on last year'.

Yeah right, 5-0 over Madrid is a side in decline. Minimum 3 clear goals ahead after tonight and enjoy your trip to Spain!

Feb 16, 2011 at 4:12 PM | Unregistered CommenterSleazey Wheezy

Brilliant clip. Fell off my chair laughing. Daj, Daj, Daj. Cheers, Spooky. COYS!

Feb 16, 2011 at 4:24 PM | Unregistered CommenterSam-I-Am

Go to Italy a lot - they used to have a show on where they got to glamour models to act out goals scored as they weren't allowed to show footage.

Hilarious... not least because they would regularly do a "Diana Ross".

Feb 16, 2011 at 4:47 PM | Unregistered CommenterChris King

Most of their tv shows seem to consist of women walking around in bikinis.

Andy Gray would love it.

And to think their ancestors once ruled from the green hills Britannia to the desert sands of Mesopotamia.

For the record, it's actually EVEN FUNNIER if you understand Italian :D

Feb 16, 2011 at 7:41 PM | Unregistered CommenterJohn Louis Swaine

Someone needs to add subtitles to this.

it made me cry (again) with joy.

Feb 17, 2011 at 3:50 AM | Unregistered Commenterbruce castle

I love Italian TV. They have a sexy girl (or two (who know a great deal more than most British, male pundits by the way)) on every football program (and there's loads of them), and they have proper 'banter'. Inter vs Meelan a couple of years ago almost broke out into a fight and the Meelan chap stormed off, before they convinced him to come back. I'd love to see Lineker giving Lawro two fingers after Spurs have just beaten Liverpool, and then seeing Hanson sulk off! Oh yeah, and with Lineker missus on there too (in not much).

Feb 17, 2011 at 12:06 PM | Unregistered CommenterDon Shapiro

they have a great quiz show too, sexy car wash - 2 cars, with contestant in each and if they answer questions get some scantly clad lovelys sudding up all over their cars.

Worth youtubing if its on there.

car wash at about the 4th minute.

Hmm... Woody is injured again.

His next game - 2013?

Feb 17, 2011 at 5:07 PM | Unregistered Commenterbringbackmabbutt

Have to agree with that. Hopefully Bale is a week closer to starting. vdV, Luka - all need to regain full fitness. Blackpool will be a feast of attack, need to line up more offensively. Score more than them. If we can win our next two games that would really put pressure on Chelsea.

I think that guy is related to my dad, he is a dead ringer for him, pissed myself laughing.
