Bobby Davro ate my hamster

It's Episode 13 people. Newcastle discussed and dissected. Like Groundhog Day we are once more forced to revisit (thanks Harry) Bale on the right and the van der Vaart conundrum. We pretend to care about Rubin Kazan at home so we pretend preview a match that's already been played by the time you get to listen to this. That's right, we have the timing of Defoe attempting to beat the offside trap. We also preview Blackburn and we're not so Kean on us losing up there. We've got Windy with another yoof round up and he's upgraded his Fisherprice mic so he doesn't sound like he's reporting from the mid-1980s. Part II sees the return of 'Killer'. We also include a run-down of The FC Podcast's adopted second team: Botswana Meat Commissioners FC. It's Chico time. Forum Affairs this week has the low-down on Ledley King, a replacement for Brad and we laugh at the no-relegation from the Prem proposal. Not enough? Chicago Dan attempts a Bears take-over and Al gives it to Davro (again).

'What international break?'

It’s Episode 12. Okay, so look, it was the International break abyss and we had no intention of doing a podcast this week but thought, hey why not, so we did. We even had a running order that consisted of the Stratford bid collapse, the return of David Pleat, Newcastle away, Rafa v JD, Europa League, some forum discussion stuff pertaining to 'is it right for a Spurs fan to charge in excess of £100 for a NLD ticket?' and a question via email about singing at the Lane. Sounds like a lot, doesn't it? Turns out when we sat down to record we ended up with 90% of it consisting of mum jokes and then trying to get Engineer Al laid. Spooky was sad, Trunk was sick, Dan was smashed on cider, Ricky threatened and Flav sucked in his burps. Just download it anyway to listen to Windy's feature on Spurs yoof. Soz.

And don't forget: Love the shirt.

'Sol Campbell is a...'

It’s Episode 10 and The Fighting Cock is back to its mediocre best! Episode 9 saw the team struck down by illness, so it was good to get back to full strength, even if we were missing Spooky…again. Spook had some misplaced notion that flying to Lanzarote for a family holiday and sunning himself on the beach would be an acceptable thing to do.

We touch on the masterful first half at Wigan and the more archetypical efforts of the Lilywhites in the second half. But mostly this week it’s about the North London Derby. The big one. The one we dare not lose. And coincidently it’s ten years since Sol Campbell defied all the good in the world to move to the dark side. We reopen wounds to set that cretin to rights by giving him the tehTrunk treatment. We also preview the game itself…eventually.

We announce the three winners of the John Crace, Vertigo book giveaway, and we open the floor to the members of The Fighting Cock forum. Most importantly though, we ponder just how fit is Ryan Gosling?

'Monkey Face !'

It's Episode Nine and it's a mellow episode. Flav is on his deathbed and all Al manages to engineer is sleep. Both as sick as a very sick dog, but we soldier on regardless. Monkey Face ! We discuss destroying Liverpool. Injuries in celebration. Docking (dear God why?). The atmosphere at the Lane. A mess of a Wigan preview. Monkey Face ! We have another enthralling episode of Killer this week hosted by the dyslexic Spooky. Feedback includes more expertly read emails. Monkey Face ! A special mention to the John Crace book 'Vertigo' and how to win a copy (we have three available - check out thefightingcock.co.uk forum for info). Monkey Face !

'Tottenham is a glory hole'

It's Episode Eight and it's an orgy of podcasters. Part I includes seagulling, a re-tweet update, we review a quality result up at Wolves including Scott Parker's début, Bale on the right (why?), preview Liverpool at the Lane, forward tactics and ask the question two trophies or 4th place finish? Part II is jam-packed with a masterful edition of Killer and two BAE terrace songs (majestic vocals) sent in by listeners are sang by the team. Emails/feedback includes: Who will captain us going forward? Should Luka have been sold? Does Levy have a post-Redknapp managerial plan? We also discuss Ledley King and his knee and can success ruin the football experience? Also: Flav makes a nude threat and we slate Stratford lovers. Just because.
