6 games, 2 wins

From my match preview of the game:

No win in three in the league. All eyes on Harry and his selection. All eyes on our erratic Lilywhite troops. Get it wrong and we might find ourselves below mid-table. Get it right and it's one step back onto the path we want to be swaggering down. More like John Travolta. Less like Charlie Chaplin. And definitely no Harold Lloyd hanging off the hands of a clock high above.

Keystone Kops it is then for their equaliser.

Textbook infuriating performance we have become accustomed to this season. Practically dominated possession, carved out chances without really carving them out. Even our goal was scored with the help of a handball. Yes, yes Webb is a joke, but tbh I'm busy laughing (crying) at how we manage to make the art of scoring goals into a task equal to finding the end of a rainbow.

Modric buzzed, I snoozed. Most of them not good enough. Lacklustre. Plenty of effort but no cutting edge quality against what was a well drilled and organised Sunderland. But a Sunderland we can beat if we play to our tempo. What's our tempo? You know what our tempo is. It's the one that only comes out to play in Europe.

Countless corners. Around 4,000. Yet we are incapable of attacking them. Gallas and Kaboul get a second mention: KEYSTONE. Bale managed the one cross, majestic it was, Crouch to vdV for his obligatory Lane goal. Had we not gifted them a way back into the game we might have scraped a 1-0. Either way, it doesn't hide the fact that we are seriously lacking focus in the Prem at the minute.

Two points wasted. Six games played at the Lane. Two wins. Ouch.

Still onwards. Anyone for a 5-0 thrashing of Blackburn?

Anyone?

Jonny "Do not know what on earth Kaboul was doing for the Sunderland goal, he just got in Gallas' way and then didn't challenge for the ball leaving his man Gyan free one on one with the keeper!!! worst bit of defending I've ever seen!!!"

Pay attention boy!

Kaboul was on Gyan when the 'experianced' Gallas came rushing in and impeeded his own player!!

Steve Bruce hit the nail on the head with this quote :

"There's a lot said about tactics and things but when you play away from home you've got to play like you mean it."

That's absoloute nonsense, I play centre back and I watched this in slow motion numerous times. If Kaboul had Gyan then why did he go rushing out for the ball when Gallas was already going for the ball and if Kaboul had Gyan than why did he leave him?? Gyan did score didn't he
I's obvious to me that Kaboul gave Gallas a shout and then Kaboul didn't actually go for it when he got there! he had a rush of blood to the head, if he had of just stayed with Gyan Gallas would have dealt with the danger and if Gallas had of missed the ball Kabould would have been on Gyan.
So you pay "attention boy"

True but isn't he complaining about a bunch of mugs booing Spurs?
Fickle?

The fans should not boo a draw. Chelsea fans boo when they draw and that's cos their used to winning (and they are tossers). How dare we boo a draw.

I can see Harry's sarcastic points in his interview, but he shouldn't be so sarky towards his own fans, he could be more subtle. I think that paints a picture for how his reign will end, never truly accepted by the fans, and in turn never fell in love with Tottenham Hotspur.

Anyone saying Harry out is an imbecile. 12 games is enough into the season to evaluate and so far we have missed key players in attack and been sloppy at the back. All teams have rough spells. We will turn the corner, but if we do not finish 4th this season it's not the end of the world. Get a grip people.

Harry might give us his 'old speil' about we never had it so good etc., but if we do not qualify for the Champions League next season then VDV, Bale, Modric, Kranky, Gomes, Lennon and possibly Tom Huddlestone will want out and we will be left with a medicore squad all over again. Harry will be walking his dog in Poole and awaiting the England and still laughing at the Tottemham faithfull (mugs) and at Daniel Levy. I SAY GET HIM OUT NOW.

Not good enough I'm afraid. Yes we are in the best state of recent years but thats not enough to live off. We need to get better and we need to try doubly hard during this blip of injuries. No excuses. Bored of them.

If we lose our 'world class' players at the end of the season on account of finishing outside the Top Four, will the fault be Redknapp's? Or will it be the fault of those same players, whose 'world class' wasn't enough to get us there?

What are we saying? We either have some genuinely well above average players and the manager is incapable of exploiting their skills; or the players are merely above average or just average. Or they are simultaneously experiencing a slump in form.

Or is all their 'world class' work hampered or undone by deficiencies in defence and attack?

Or a combination of all of the above and more?

Seen it before Desktop. Players leave club because club has failed but its down to the players that the club has failed. Dog eat dog.

If we do fail to get into 4th spot we might lose one or two at the most. vdV and another. However Levy has said that CL football every season is not the be all and end all and so maybe challenging every 2 seasons is the only way to do so until we achieve more on the pitch. By more I would hazard a guess we'd need to finish 4th this season. So emphasis back on the players.

Good point desktop about the players.
Or will it be partially Levy's fault too?

Forget world class strikers: Our entire defense is much too weak to sustain a challenge for 4th.
King and Woodgate are most likely finished or near finished. Dawson we sorely need but even he had moments of indecision. Charlie hurt but I've never quite rated him.

So that leaves us with the keystone cops at the back who in my mind play over their heads occasionally (witness Kaboul and Gallas v Inter) but played at their normal levels last night.

All of Levy's talk of not spending money etc. doesn't look so wise right now does it?

I'm not gonna defend Harry I just think the blame needs to be spread around a bit.

World class players? We only have the one WC player.

The whole crew is needed to steer the ship, but it's Redknapp at the helm. I'm no 'Harry-Hater', but his 'You've never had it so good' attitude misses the point. Fans booing their own team is never nice, but it's an emotional game and expectations have been raised. I'd rather see him look genuinely puzzled, shake his head, furrow his brow and admit unequivocally 'It's not good enough'.

He's a good pilot in a storm, but the ship's becalmed and he needs to find a wind.

I bet Arry likes any port in a storm.
